This recent A list athlete was being an a-hole to just about everyone he came into contact with. I think this recent fame is going to his head.

Adam Rippon
He was an a-hole before no new news here.
ReplyDeleteJeez, YA THINK?
ReplyDeleteAdam didn't compete in the World Figure Skating championships where Nathan Chen redeemed himself by winning first place gold after choking in the short program at the Olympics. Adam just seems to want to be famous and he needs to focus on skating and competing.
ReplyDelete@Lisa Wolfinger
DeleteAdam Rippon will be 29 years old in November. The technical demands of ice skating have changed so he is smart to quit while he is "ahead." If he keeps going he won't have the knees & hips he was born with.
Rumor has it he and Tonya Harding will compete on Dancing With The Stars.
It's happening!

Whoooooo?!?!?
ReplyDeleteThey could have easily shut down that attitude by asking him WTF was his non acting/singing ass there.
He got 10th place.
ReplyDeleteJUST GO AWAY.
I can't stand that sniveling little pipsqueak. Such an unpleasant creature.
ReplyDeleteThis gentleman does not well represent the gay community, IMHO. He won the public debate, then he piled it on and gave it back. Then he kept strutting around, narcissistically oblivious.
ReplyDelete@Ddonna I... wow. If I understood you correctly, I actually agree with you on this one.
Deleteand Johnny Weir can breath a sigh of relief. His tiara is safe for now.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me sad more than angry at him. I wanted him to have his moment because he seemed like a good person who deserved it. If this is true, then Gus Kenworthy is still the best Olympian representative of LGBTQ. I will forever love him for all the animal rescuing he does, wherever he goes.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it always the case?? Most reach fame and become insufferable.
ReplyDeleteThis guy has had his head up his own ass ever since the media gave him the slightest bit of attention. So glad to see the back of the self-proclaimed 'America's Sweetheart.'
ReplyDeleteLack of detail in this blind makes it seem not credible.
ReplyDeleteAdam opted not to compete at the world championships. This is not unusual during an Olympic year. A lot of Olympic athletes do this for valid reasons.

Asshole Adam AND Tonya on Dancing With the Stars? Sweet Jesus. Another good reason not to watch reality TV.
ReplyDeleteHe is what he eats.
ReplyDeleteRippon was on a talk show the other night and was beyond arrogant and full of himself. What a barfbag.
ReplyDeleteI love his sense of humor. It's sarcasm on steroids.
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised the media created Adam Rippon he comes across as a negative gay stereotype. Rippon is extremely effeminate.
ReplyDeleteThis can't be about Adam! This doesn't seem like the Adam we saw at the Olympics. He seemed like such a sweetie, he was happy, on his game and seemed genuinely humble. I suspect this BI may be a bit off.
ReplyDeleteIf it is true, then this is very sad. Perhaps he had too much to drink or wasn't feeling well?
@Ali B
DeleteAdam claimed to be nervous during the Olympic team competition & "joked" about asking the judges for a break so he could take Xanax & wine.
I mentioned in another blind a couple months back, that Adam has suffered from some emotional instability. He has also "reinvented" himself a few times. I think he lost himself on one of his restarts. When I saw him regularly, I liked him. I don't see much of that young man in this new Adam, except an occasional glimpse of sadness when he feels no one is looking. That's the same. I wish him well but I worry for him
