This recently deceased, behind the scenes power managed the careers of many. His client list included many of the biggest A-list stars of that era. The immense power he wielded during his life was only eclipsed by his number of vile actions. For starters, if you were male, and a barely legal office assistant, mailroom boy, or otherwise worked for this mogul – you were expected to cater to his sexual needs. The fact that the mogul was 3 times your age, or that your sexual preference might be women, didn’t matter to the mogul. The mogul also liked underage teens. For that he would be more discreet. He would pay people who could bring them to a setup he had in another state, outside the glare of Hollywood. If one of his clients got in trouble, or needed help, our mogul did whatever was necessary. I mean whatever was necessary. He would either make your problems disappear voluntarily, or involuntarily. One of his biggest money-making clients liked his boys much younger than our mogul. Many times over the years, our mogul had no moral problem with helping that client to get out of trouble, or cover up his crimes. This happened on a few occasions.

Sandy Gallin
I'm sad that he never got his comeuppance. If there's a hell he's rotting in it
ReplyDelete"I'll be on top a mountain pissing on your grave"
ReplyDeleteNot Xander Gallu!
ReplyDeleteAnd on the subject of powerful predators, Enty, when the hell is Dan Schneider ACTUALLY getting media attention for what he's done?
ReplyDeleteDid you read they gave him 7 million dollars to leave?
DeleteI'm shocked but not surprised, if that makes any sense
DeleteSandy Gallin was MJ publicist when he was the puppet of this other sinister guy.
ReplyDeleteEw, I've written articles praising Gallin's interior design skills. I'm so revolted.
ReplyDeleteIt really bums me out because he was best friends with Dolly Parton
ReplyDeleteSo are we understanding that Hollywood is basically a playground for pedophiles? I mean wtf, are there NO decent souls out there? How do they all justify it at the end of the day? I guess they just yell, "Hedonism!" Gross, get a grip you selfish fucks.
ReplyDeleteSaturnalia
DeleteWhen does Hollywood get the torch?
ReplyDeleteI notice you are not revealing Dan Schneider BIs yet you don't hesitate to reveal BIs of dead bastards. Why is that Enty?

DeleteBeen offline for a while, but I said something similar back on Friday, I believe it was. Almost nothing about Schneider here since the news. What's up with that?
Delete@BonnyPommy, he won't get media attention until he's arrested (if he is). If the media were going to lead the charge on this, it would have happened a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteWhat a laudatory obituary from the NYTimes about Sandy Gallin! He was so instrumental in making Cher, David Geffen's former "wife," a solo star!
ReplyDeletehttps://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/21/arts/sandy-gallin-76-talent-manager-adored-by-stars-dies.html
He also made Dolly Parton more famous than ever, booked the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, catapulted Woopi Goldberg ("It wasn't rape-rape!").
Gallin's NYT obit is loaded with names we all know: Cher, Parton and Michael Jackson and of course his "close friend David Geffen." But also Jimmy Iovine, Hugh Jackman, Mark Burnett, Oprah and Gayle, and Barry DIller, who called him "Devoid of cynicism, a transmission device for sunshine and optimism."
Monsters all, I fear. Even Hugh Jackman, I guess. Sandy Gallin, Bryan Singer, Baz Luhrman--he's run with all of them. Ugh. Not quite as disillusioning as Bruce Springsteen's recent repeated appearances publicly supporting Geffen, but it's up there.
It might not be a holly jolly Christmas in LA this year.
DeleteSo he dies and none of his supposed victims sue his estate?
ReplyDeleteDM had short but sweet article about Schneider. Yahoo too. Guess they are afraid of a lawsuit. Someone needs to step forward to sue him and press charges. Then it will implode. In the meantime, Singer is living it up with teens in Hawaii. Now that's a crime
ReplyDelete"Only the news that fits is printed."
ReplyDeleteYou can't sue a dead person for something like this. He's dead, what are they gonna haul his corpse into court? The estate is now the property of the heirs, and you can't punish the heirs for what he did. They can sue if they think they have a claim as a debtor, or an heir, that's it, at least I'm fairly sure of it.
ReplyDeleteAs for his legacy, I suspect that in time, his crimes will be glossed over, just like the old moguls back in the day. This is not new behavior for Hollywood, and they raise statues and shrines and give out awards with names on them that are guilty of the same, if not worse behavior.
I'll have more faith when Dan Schneider is brought up on criminal charges. That NOT ONE SINGLE VICTIM has stepped forward either means he didn't do anything, or there's still so much power in the wrong hands, that victims will never get rescued, and Hollywood will continue to consume and destroy children, and all of them, every single person, is complicit.
Maybe there are ongoing investigations & his victims are witnesses. That wouldn’t be published anywhere until the conclusion of the investigation.
DeleteHinting at Michael Jackson liking little boys again.
ReplyDeleteYou can sue the estate of someone that is dead. Happens all the time.
ReplyDeleteA dead person can not be tried criminally anymore. A civil lawsuit is a different matter entirely.
Someone put this in his Wikipedia entry already (!!!).
ReplyDeleteWoah.
Ah it's fuckin HILARIOUS the Wikipedia entry for TODAY has THIS BLIND listed WORD FOR WORD lol... wonder how long that will last. Good going guys whoever it was!!!
ReplyDeleteJust saw this! Hope it stays! Who was the legend who did this??
DeleteCareer
ReplyDeleteGallin joined the mailroom of General Artists Corporation and eventually became a senior vice president and board member.[3] After less than a year at GAC, he became a junior agent. During this time he played a role in booking The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show.[1]

Geez, this guys wiki might as well be an Enty blind in and of itself holy shit. There isn't one person he took a picture with that isn't SURROUNDED by controversy.
I love that someone added this to his wiki bio!
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't me but someone edited his wiki page with some of this stuff!

ReplyDeleteSupposed victims? Two former "supposed" victims, former employees, actually SUED HIM when he was alive, back in 1997.
Sexual harassment issues
In 1997, Gallin was sued by two former employees alleging sexual harassment. The lawsuit alleged Gallin asked them to coordinate sexual visits with young men, as well as to offer their sexual services to potential clients to secure relationships. Gallin responded with a countersuit alleging his former employees had breached their contractual obligations with his firm and produced the sexual harassment allegations by way of distraction from their violations.[10]
