Despite hooking up for much of the first season of their almost television show which probably was the final straw in the marriage of this former A/A+ list mostly movie actress the co-stars didn't hook up at all when they filmed the second season which probably saved the marriage of the male A-/B+ list co-star.
Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant?

ReplyDeleteIs it just PR then when Drew has articles coming out about her devastation? You could quietly divorce, go away, v pretending it was such a personal failure and calamity. I don't see Drew like so many in the entertainment machine. She is ambitious but seems as if she has always been true to herself, self-deprecating etc. I would be disappointed to hear this was her.

Because of the Katie Holmes-is-a-terrible-actress blind a few days ago, I watched "Go" just the other night for the first time since it came out. Not only was it a terrific movie that I had largely forgotten, Katie Holmes is pretty good in it. Lots of familiar faces in it, too, where I was left asking "Whatever happened to.....?"

DeleteThey did have great chemistry in the first season, would help explain why Drew is looking rough these days. The Joel McHale show needs to steal the writers from Tosh.0 or something, seriously lackluster material. I like surprise humor but mostly with that show I'm surprised when something is funny. You can tell McHale has the chops but he can't carry the whole team.

I LOVED Timothy in JUSTIFIED and in DEADWOOD but he is hella skinny. Love his voice, vibe, face, acting skills but I just imagine him scraggly and bow-legged out of his jeans. I like my guy stockier than me to make me feel feminine. A skinny dude just doesn't do it for me.

Seems like the rest of the board are on a different track though so maybe we need to expand our knowledge of almost-tv shows. As soon as I see that description I think Stranger Things since most times it has been. Not this time it seems.

ReplyDeleteI have to admit the show is good. I don't like "gross" shows - why everybody's so in love with fake blood and yucky things I don't know, it's as if Hollywood is run by men who stopped evolving at age 7 - ok, don't answer that - so I look away a lot but the non-gross parts are well written and funny.
I buy Drew and Timothy - years ago my daughter and I went to a taping of Conan that he was on, maybe supporting Justified, I only knew him from Go. Anyway, we were in line, and this dressed down guy walks by and looks her up and down like she was dessert. I thought he was some flunky until I saw him cleaned up sitting next to Conan. Recently I had a reason to relay that story to my daughter and she was like "he's married!" Mmmhmm. Haha I think it was early 2014, she was 24 at the time.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I always confuse timothy olyphant with josh duhamel, I know they don't look exactly alike but i still mix them up.
ReplyDeleteThey definitely look like they could be brothers, especially since their hair is graying similarly. Also, their builds were similar before Josh started taking steroids.

ReplyDeleteThey were on Watch What Happens Live. Think a caller asked who his best kiss was and if I remember, think he wouldn't even answer because he said his wife was so perfect. So makes sense it could be words of a guy on a short leash after straying. Maybe. She was very self deprecating. Who knows. But glad he's still with his wife

I don’t happen to be into Olyphant myself, however he stars with Olga Kurylenko in “Hitman,” a guilty pleasure movie of mine that I’ve seen prolly 64 times. I mention this for those of you who love him. He’s dressed in a suit, playing a cold, emotionless hitman ... who clearly has a soft spot for Olga, who was quite fetching playing a sex slave for a Russian. I know it’s not great cinema, but I can’t stop watching it whenever I come across it. (Last summer, I saw it four times in four days.) If you like him, I suspect you’ll love “Hitman.” BTW, his head is shaved in that, though it was filmed several years ago.
