Blind Item #8

This A list comic/actor took a huge check without telling anyone he took the huge check from a corporate behemoth to advocate for them in a recent public relations disaster.

  9. Was he expecting people to think he was promoting a corporation for free? Now that I think of it, I've met big enough fans of Starbucks that they might believe someone would do that.

  10. Starbucks tastes like burnt urine. I don't know why it's so popular other than people can cover that nasty shit in syrups and foams that smell of dryer sheets.

    It's popularity is unfathomable.

I think the popularity of Starbucks most be soley through people who actually hate the taste of coffee but like the taste of sugar, syrup, cream, artificial flavors and more sugar.

Well of course this issue is debatable on how it speaks about the character of Mr. Hart because he very well should have voiced his concern over this issue regardless of the payout. My take on Kevin Hart is that he was invited out to Hollywood because he is exactly the kind of duplicitous black actor they like out there and he's just now getting a feel for how they roll. can just SE the seething opportunism boiling behind his eyes. Hey, someones gotta take the place of the Black Jewish Knight of Malta Sammy Davis Jr, The Bethesda Naval Station Mk conditioned Cosby, and the crack addicted bi-sexual Richard Pryor.

Starbucks sells more sugar based drinks than they do actual coffee. Starbucks is a "lifestyle", not a source of caffeine. I generally avoid hipsters, but I'll give them this - they make a good cup of coffee. I stopped buying Starbucks years ago, because I never got any coffee in their stores that wasn't stale.

You mean passive and inoffensive black male one could invite to dinner, right? Like Will Smith? Neutered but terrifically gung-ho!

What the movie Get Out has taught us all...

  19. Amazes me how many morons take an isolated incident at one of 15,000 starbucks locations in the US and somehow decide that the whole corporation must be the same.

Starbucks and Bath & Body Works don't take kindly to us coloreds setting foot in their stores.

The joke is on them. We tend to spend cash money.

I could understand the outrage if Starbucks refused service to these few people because of their race. But to say “you have to buy something to use the restroom” is called normal. Starbucks should not have apologized. This is one biggest victories for the homeless regardless of race, because they now will be able to go use and camp out in Starbucks restrooms and other similar places of business.

  24. Just read the thread. Kevin was saying that people should wait and see what happens. He watched the gmail interview and is now into the boycott.
The reason most pple drink it is because they all but ran caribou out of business, as well as any other competition.

In my city you can’t just hang out anywhere without being a paying customer, it’s called loitering. Even at gas stations they have a min of how long your car can be parked at a gas station.

    2. Anonymous3:27 PM

Actual signs outside the gas station with warnings they will call the cops, again loitering people

    3. They were waiting for a friend. Furthermore what sense does it make to buy a coffee BEFORE going to the restroom? Who wants to take a cup of coffee into the bathroom??? Fuck off, TR. Stop trying to criminalize these guys when they did nothing wrong.

  26. @one_eyed_bob

That Starbucks allowed others to use the bathroom who ordered nothing. It's on tape.

The guys who were arrested were not homeless. They were waiting on a friend, like a lot of people do, to order.

It’s coffee, not food, it would be rude to order lunch/dinner without your guests. It’s not the first time or last time this will happen. They had suspicions of something or simply loitering. They can’t call the cops and say, hey black people come get them.

  27. "They can’t call the cops and say, hey black people come get them. "

That's where you are wrong. They can. Cops do.

It doesn't matter. The guys were waiting on a friend. This happens all the time.
