This former A list mostly television actor from a long running network show who is about to have another shot at network television refused to give a part to someone who thought he was a good friend. They are former co-stars and one is kind of down on his luck acting wise but the former A lister said a part was a no go.
Matt Le Blanc? As the Former A list
ReplyDelete@Jean Grey
DeleteLeBlanc's show has been on CBS since 2016. The blind says the actor is about to have another show on network tv.
Christopher Meloni?
ReplyDeleteI think you got it cheesegrater15 ...
ReplyDeleteNoah Wyle has a new show coming up. Don't know which costar he's snubbing. Not Anthony Edwards, he's doing Broadway....
ReplyDeleteMaybe Frank Whaley (they were in Swing Kids together). He works, but nothing of note in a long time.
DeleteHow about a Doors reunion? Val, Frank, Kyle and Kevin together again.
Delete@Normal,
DeleteI'm up for that, as long as Crispin Glover reprises his role as Andy Warhol!
Not Matt LeBlanc - he's not down on his luck, acting wise. He had five seasons of Episodes and Man with a Plan is in it's second season.
ReplyDeleteEpisodes was SO GREAT. I wish it wasn’t cancelled. So original.
DeleteShemar Moore and Thomas Gibson. Old show was Criminal Minds. New show is SWAT.
ReplyDelete@Melissa
DeleteSWAT has been on the air for a while. Doesn't fit the blind as written.
I like the Noah Wyle guess-known doucher. Could be Eric La Salle or Scott Grines(not much work there)
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking not somebody on ER. Seems like that might have been mentioned in the blind. But you're right, I haven't seen Grimes in a while. LaSalle is producing stuff.
DeleteDoes anyone else remember a really awful BI about Noah Wyle? It made it sound like he wouldn’t be working again...
DeleteScott Grimes has had steady work as a voice actor on American Dad for the last 13 years. He also is a regular on The Orville, which has been renewed for a second season.
DeleteEric LaSalle was just in Logan, in addition to his behind the scenes directing & producing.
Noah Wyle executive producers The Librarians tv series, and occassionally appears as "The Librarian."
I just checked it out.. You're right ckpsjp..
ReplyDeleteI was thinking Zach Braff & Donald Faison...
ReplyDeleteNot "about to" have another show. Alex Inc has been on for a few weeks already.
Delete@Sara, Making It Work
DeleteGrimes was on that Seth McFarlane sci-fi show on FOX. I don't know if it has been renewed.
It has been. And it’s terrible (sorry, Seth!)
DeleteOooh, Dena. I like that guess better.
ReplyDeleteExcept for Chris Meloni, I would have no problem never seeing any of the other guesses acting or giving down-on-their-luck acting co-workers another shot.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see him reunite with Lee Tergeson from Oz.
DeleteSo I hope this blind is not about them.
Omg, me too. And Ryan O’Reilly!
DeleteScott Grimes is on the Orville, so probs not him.
ReplyDeleteNoah Wyle has this pilot
ReplyDeletehttp://variety.com/2018/tv/news/noah-wyle-cbs-drama-pilot-red-line-1202719610/
Eriq LaSalle works more behind the camera now. With the recent departures of some exec producers in the Chicago franchise, I think Eriq is now an executive producer, on top of him already directing episodes. I don't even know if he wants to act anymore, and if he does, he could easily take a part on one of those established shows that he's already connected with.
ReplyDeleteIs SWAT on yet? Because if not, I like the Shemar Moore guess. Thomas Gibson is far more of a former A list tv star than the others, and his infamously getting kicked off the show for attacking a writer may be what is keeping Moore from getting hiiiiiiii m the part-- he's bad news now.
ReplyDelete@Melvin the Reanimated
DeleteSWAT is currently on the air and it is a good show.
Jon Cryer or Matt Leblanc
ReplyDeleteActually could be someone from SNL.
ReplyDeleteNot David Spade, I wouldn't call him former A (disagree all you want). Plus his new show is cable.
Hader's new show is cable too.
But there's decades of former A listers....
Why does everyone hate Chris Meloni
ReplyDeleteI don't. He's freaky hot. Like you'd need a safeword.
DeleteI agree. And full frontal in Oz didn’t hurt!
DeleteJust going to pop in to point out that the former A list is the actor with the new gig. Some answers seem to be getting that backward.
ReplyDeleteA: former A list actor/was in long-running network/RETURNING to tv after a presumable absence
B: actor, former co-star of A (presumably on long-running network show) who is down on his luck
I second the question by MichiganMama59 - Why do you all hate Chris Meloni?
ReplyDeleteDid he do something horrible? Or is because he quit Law and Order (while I know that sounds like a stupid reason, I've seen people on this site hate for much less).
I have friends that I absolutely would not want to ever work with.
ReplyDeleteNoah Wyle just finished "The Librarians" which didn't get renewed. Eriq LaSalle directed a few episodes of that show.
ReplyDeleteSo, if it's Noah Wyle, his down-on-his-luck, thought-he-and-XYZ-were-friends, could be a cast member from The Librarians.. Christian Kane, or John Larouquette...
Or John Larouquette (long-running network show being "Night Court"), down on his luck actor friend hoping for a role could be Harry Anderson (Judge Harry Stone on 'Night Court')
@Sagan
DeleteNot Larouquette. Life in Pieces has been on for 3 years.
Sadly Episodes has ended, but leBlanc is doing brilliantly as the lead presenter on (UK) Top Gear. Who knew he’d be a natural!?!
ReplyDeleteEpisodes knew! :)
DeleteShemar Moore gut-hates Thomas Gibson. Gibson was the reason he left CM. There's been blinds here about how abusive Gibson was. I do hope he asked, just so Shemar could slap his ass down.
ReplyDeleteDon't think this is Matt LeBlanc, but the first season of "Episodes" was one of the most consistently hilarious sitcoms of the past 10 years. I howled a lot.
ReplyDeleteThe later seasons were not as consistent, but Kathleen Rose Perkins always made it worth watching. That actress deserves wider recognition: great timing, delivery and an comically expressive face. Love her.
She’s a genius. That show was chock full of talent.
DeleteAgree with @DDonna Tarttty re: Episodes & Perkins. (I'm just catching up with the series on Netflix; saw the first season when we had Showtime for a few months after a move...)
ReplyDeleteWasn't there an awful blind revealed to be Noah Wyle?
Double AGREE w/ Ddonna Tarttty! Kathleen Rose Perkins completely made that show (also a nod to Daisy Haggard in the show who was the nasaly mumbler but never really spoke. Such a small but hilarious role).
ReplyDeleteAnd yes SkittleKitty there was a blind about him. Noah Wyle is a complete douche-bag asshole. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if he tried to stop someone else from working.
http://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2017/11/blind-items-revealed-6-anniversary-month_24.html?m=1
DeleteOrrrrrr this could be Nathan Fillion. He's got a new show coming up that he's also producing.
ReplyDelete"Friend" could be Adam Baldwin from Firefly (who guest starred on Castle, so it wouldn't be unexpected to get a role here), or one of his Castlw costars that he screwed over by getting the show cancelled.
Adam Baldwin has been on the Eric Dane The Last Ship show for a few years.
Delete+1 for the Kathleen Rose Perkins love. She’s adorable on Twitter and the Karen-hands in the hiling scenes always made me giggle. I tuned in for Mangan and Greig (Green Wing 4eva), but Kathleen is arguably the most watchable thing in it.
ReplyDeleteI’ve not actually watched the last episodes - heh - yet as I’m sad it’s ended
I am thinking Tracy Morgan as the guy having a show again- he was on SNL & 30 Rock. Don't know who he isn't helping out though.
ReplyDeleteCharlie Sheen and Jon Cryer, to be different
ReplyDelete
