Blind Item #2
Don't believe the hype. This A list singer is going to be under the watchful thumb of her team for a long time. They love the money train and if they let up, the money train will disappear.

ReplyDeleteI was thinking this was Britney (even though it doesn't say "singer") because in the news yesterday was a couple of articles about her father handing control back over to her.
ReplyDeleteTotally Britney.
ReplyDeleteBritney

Britney Spears is still under that conservator. How long has it been?
ReplyDeletePoor Britney.
ReplyDelete@BossyPants - ten years according to the article I read.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Britney. They won’t let her out.
ReplyDeleteOf course her old man is gonna keep her under the thumb. That bitch be Craaaaazy! You leave her with all that money she'll blow the lot on TV home shopping, meth and Nigerian email scams, because that bitch be craaaazy!
ReplyDeleteBritney. Her "people" will work her til she drops dead.
ReplyDeletePoor thing.
Brit.
ReplyDeleteBrit Brit or April Fool
ReplyDelete@TW - Enty pledged on Twitter yesterday that he doesn't do April Fool's joke blinds. Sure, maybe I'm a sucker for believing him. ;-)
ReplyDelete@Thia - I'm just having fun today. Some people take these blind gossip items too seriously. It ain't life or death but they wanna argue.
DeletePrayers for Britney.
Nah, Britney may have more control now over her own affairs, but her dad and the lawyers aren't going anywhere. She's about to start a limited tour. Someone will have to oversee that and keep an eye on her. Her dad set up the tour but he may no longer be her primary minder (terrible term buy I can't think of another.)
ReplyDeleteBrit has made huge strides but she is always going to need help and protection.
I'm going to flog this dead horse forever - it's a good thing for Britney to keep performing on a regular schedule.
Her parents, especially dad, have issues but they are the reason Brit didn’t go the way of Lohan. So, why not keep an eye on her?
ReplyDeleteShe's got what's essentially a public 5150 forevermore. Can you imagine what that poor woman's been through?
ReplyDeleteLol at people actually paying to see this talentless hack lipsync on stage and barely move.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I start to feel badly about Britney's life, I recall watching her perform one song during the New Year's Eve special, and lip-synching poorly. I have to wonder if the best seats in the house for her shows the ones farthest from the stage?
DeleteKaty posted on Instagram today about being “broken”. Perhaps she knows she needs a break and wants one but her team is pushing her on ☹️
ReplyDeleteKaty Perry.
ReplyDeleteHer tour sales were poor and her recent singles barely cracked the charts. Hopefully she spends less time doing blow and more time with Max Martin.
DDonna Tarttty what is a 5150? Does anyone know if Brittany has a diagnosis
ReplyDelete?
Actually, Britney had an option to get control away from her dad some time back, and chose to keep him on. She may have shown good judgement. Either she is doing better or he is getting older and can't monitor her all the time, in which case, someone else may pick up the slack.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they live off her earnings, but she functions better when she's working a regular schedule, so this may be the best arrangement.
I'm agreeing with @plot for once. Turning 18 doesn't magically make you a grown-up capable of making sensible decisions in your life, and that goes triple for someone who's been through what I think she's been through, and triple again when there are complex finances involved. I know plenty of ordinary, non-abused people in their 40s who aren't particularly good at it. She's lucky she has a father to provide some oversight, even if he's not perfect.
ReplyDeleteShe will never 'recover' from her severe mental illness, though it's possible to have some kind of a good life, depending on how well the medications work. (I have family in a group home, and I know well what an awful thing it is.) So it's a good thing her father is overseeing her, and her money. She simply cannot bust loose and be 'free' - it would be a disaster in the making with a tragic end.
ReplyDeleteAs for her supposedly being goaded to working, she makes a sh*tload of money even as a freakish lip-sync act. And she's been doing it so long, well, that's her LIFE. What else is she going to do, sit home under a pecan tree looking at the grass grow? She literally can't do anything else but 'perform', in her way. She would be unhappy not having it any more.
