This three named A-/B+ list mostly movie actress recently lost a couple of offers that should have come her way. She was told she needed to lose 20 pounds.
So annoying as I am sure whoever told her to lose weight is not the picture of healthy and fitness themselves. And I too LOVE Can't Hardly Wait! That movie is a hidden gem and I also happen to graduate in 1998 :) Memories...
What we need is someone willing to back stuff with women of a healthy normal size. Then, we will begin to have some data on whether or not being larger than a size 2 is an audience killer.
Marilyn was not a size 14. Not UK 14 and certainly not US 14. Back then they measured sizes differently so a '14' was a modern day US 10 (UK 6). She was a US 10 at her biggest and then. Even at her biggest, her waist was still only 28 inches. Her ID cards and even her coroner report have her weighing 117 at 5"5. Other than the butt and chest, she was very slight. There's nothing wrong with being a size 14 of course but this is a massive false rumor about Marilyn.
Re: blind though - I googled all of the actresses mentioned in the comments and all of them look good right now. Healthy.
I've just been invited to appear ( as a talking head type thing ) on an international motorsports show. I'm probably 35Lbs overweight. I'm probably going to say no. Nobody deserves to see a fat me on TV.
I don't think Brice Dallas Howard deserves a B+/A- rating, but it definitely could be her. When I looked up her name, one of the search options was her and "weight gain." My gut goes with Chloe Grace Moritz, because there is so much pressure for young actresses to be thin. -
I'm guessing her rating would be based on (i) her namesake and (ii) Jurassic World, which was the top grossing movie for all of six months before Star Wars: TFA kicked it out of the top spot.
@mercyprosperity :) Thanks. It will air in Europe mostly but it's for an event going on right now at Circuit of the Americas, Austin TX ( and around the world at later dates)
If I have one gift it's that I have a photographic memory and can talk nonsense about men in leather on motorbikes :) That's my thing.
@Han - Oh yeah, I know plenty of women with lovely hourglass shapes that are smaller at the waist or up top but regarding MM, she just wasn't a size 14. Certainly not a US 14. Sizes were different back then, so the 14 in her time would be a US 10 now. I mean it really doesn't matter, it just bugs me when misinformation is passed around so frequently. It's like the fake MM 'if you can't handle me' quote that did the rounds on facebook a few years ago. No source, no proof. Just a lot of silly women patting themselves on the back for bad behavior because 'Marilyn did it.'
Hollywood lies about sizes & weight all the time. My eyes saw Marilyn on film & Marilyn was a big girl THICK in a few of her movies. Esp the one where the guy was hitting her on the ass with a paddle. She actually looked better bigger IMHO.

DeleteShe had a 28.5 waist at her heavist. A size 14 in 1962 equated to a size 6 or 8 today, and much of her career she would have fit into a size 0.
