Your Turn

The one word movies worked out pretty well earlier this week. I think it is harder for television though. Favorite one word television show.

    1. I watched an interview of the real-life woman who inspired “Medium” (it’s on YouTube) and it was so fascinating. The way she describes the afterlife is in line with how it’s portrayed in “Black Panther”. At first when I saw T’Challa visit the Wakandan afterlife, I was just respectfully fascinated because I thought it was just a part of someone else’s culture that I didn’t understand, but when I saw KILLMONGER’s visit to the afterlife, I nearly fucking CRIED!!!!! I had goosebumps all over and I was SCREAMING INTERNALLY, “SOMEONE AT MARVEL DID THEIR HOMEWORRRRRK!!!!” ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Brilliant. I was actually underwhelmed by the “hocus-pocus STEM” of BP (which is typical of Hollywood, but I’ll forgive them because Vibranium isn’t even real—it’s not like seeing bad coding on a film/show about IT/tech).

That being said, the “afterlife” is I believe where we shed our skins (like snakes, or our “casings” if we were phones). The residue/memories/identities of our current lifetime. The core soul reincarnates...

I could never understand how The Ancient One’s death was made to be such a big deal in “Doctor Strange” (she died after he’d been a pupil for a while—Stephen should have learned/understood by then). TAO was a very flawed woman. There is no bloody fucking way the Universe is letting her straight into Nirvana. She’s coming back here. And if muggles can figure out who they used to be in a pastlife through their SN, surely the Sorcerer Supreme can track her down (he can even track his entire family’s souls down, if he wants). Even muggles can sense when they’ve met someone from their pastlife and you’re telling me Stephen Strange deals with death like a muggle? Pfffft, Marvel, pppppffffftttttt... Are they fucking kidding us?!

And I swear to God, they better not pull some bigoted marketing stunt about “there’s ‘magic’ in science” (which is just condescending). I legit have a Sanskrit last name IRL (mage cred) and I will SCREAM and call them out for undermining human rights, if they pull that crap again! ๐ŸŒ‹๐ŸŒบ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿป๐Ÿฅ—๐Ÿ‚

Haha. Enty thought television would be harder, but we could go on and on and on...

My favourite television show used to be BBC’s “Sherlock” until one of the cast members did something that absolutely traumatised me in 2016—I even had a nightmare about it before the fact. It’s a pity I get too much anxiety just from looking at it now, because I really want to see Sherrinford (and I LOVE that they cast Ophelia as Sherrinford). Can’t even touch the DVD now. It was good while it lasted, though... RIP fave show. ๐Ÿ–ค⚰️๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿป‍♀️๐ŸŒ‹
