  2. Latest story about Oscar "red carpet" is that security is extra high. Does this mean Hollywood is "for" guns and not "against" anymore ??

    1. They’re all about body guards and guns and any other cool shit to save their hides, but the idea that some schmuck in Hiram or Naperville or Tupelo defending their families is white terrorism.

      Fuck these pieces of garbage.

  3. 99 percent will talk to Seacrest because they know he is gay, an therefore, a victim of extortion. But. They also know sexual misconduct is about POWER, but will give him a pass for cameratime. Except biggies like Meryl and hopefully Longoria & crew. No one will be called out, but there will be plenty of METOO in the speeches. Just want to dish on red carpet clothes like Joan used to do.

Thanks for the reminder! Let's watch to see what Leslie Bibb is wearing! Or if not Bibb, see if somebody's date is wearing an up and coming designer.

That said, I wonder which Himmmm wrote that? It sounds like the speaker might be famous, so not likely Himmmm #1. And when will we get the next blinds so we can figure out who 2 & 3 are?

  5. I hope actresses show their headlights and bumpers and make this a memorable show for all of us! Amen!

    ReplyDelete
  6. It'll be boring. Hollywood's downgraded to trashy. When you see someone like Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajakoski at the Oscars red carpet, it's over.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Anonymous1:15 PM

@coolbrady Was thinking the same. Will someone please call Rockwell & Bibb on my behalf, the next time I get shit on by life :)????

    ReplyDelete
  8. Sanctimonious hypocrites. Won't be watching.

    Uma...Oprah"

(Letterman after an awkward reference to Uma's allegations in front of Harvey's friend Oprah)

  10. @Coolbrady:
Sam Rockwell & Leslie Bibb. The young lady designer is Leslie's stylist for the night but not sure who she is wearing to the show. (sorry this should've been revealed already. Thanks!).

  11. Oh that's so cool. Thanks for the update Himmmm

    ReplyDelete
  12. Ratface and Hadid are not at the Oscar red carpet, they're at the after parties.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Anonymous1:43 PM

Thanks, Himmm! They seem like a genuinely lovely couple.

In other news, apparently Access Hollywood is planning to ask celebs about Ryan Seacrest. I wonder if E!’s 30-second tape delay will help him save face.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Gonna just sit and wait for "Shape of Water" to win all the oscars. And for some epic trainwreck at after parties lmao. Bring it Enty and Your insiders!

Maybe Leslie will mention the stylist? You never know...

Let's celebrate the "Morally Superior" celestials. With all of the predator A list directors and actors on firm ground, there will be No Change in Hollywood. Hypocrites! And they passionately demand America changes for the better? As if they come from a pure standing! Funny how whatever they spout is the same message preached by the organization founded by a famous cross dresser!

  19. Didn't see any of the movies. Haven't been to the movies in years. Definitely will skip. I don't need to listen to holier than thou pretty people tell me what I should think (regardless of topic/slant). They just need to do what they are paid to do-it-yourself look nice and read convincingly what a writer tells them to say.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Not watching. Terrible industry, no need to celebrate it

    ReplyDelete
  21. I want jimmy kimmel to bring the tmz tour in again to the front rows!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I also haven't been to the movies in over a decade, if not longer. Can't believe the prices I hear tickets are!! I'll wait till it comes on TV. The public has known these award shows are all rigged and staged. Just get rid of them and start from scratch, if at all.
Maybe the "big screen" has passed its expiration date? With so many other options, Netflix, et al, let the "big screen" go, FFS.

  23. WOW, their narrative 180 after bringing up #TimesUp. WOWWW

    ReplyDelete
  24. e! just needs to stick with the red carpet and ignore wolfgang puck stuff

    ReplyDelete
  25. Guiliana just tried to eat on live TV but failed, out of practice.

    ReplyDelete
  26. greatest showman, wonder woman are the best pics this year. ratings will be at an all time low because they wont reward populist films that people PAY hard earned money to see! so easy to stay at home streaming...the biz is dying without DVD and only china and overseas IMAX and 3D revenues keeping it afloat

    ReplyDelete
  27. what a bunch of party poopers on here. I am just here to see the dresses. Love the glam.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Three Billboards and Shape I hope do well as expected. Blade Runner for cinematography and Phantom for score are the two I really want

    ReplyDelete
  29. Alison Williams dress is pretty but her hairline is god awful, makes her look very masculine in the face.....so thin, that doesn't help the look either.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hey look, commenters on the internet saying the same thing about the Oscars you say every year. And just like every other year, your opinion doesn't matter.

    ReplyDelete
  31. And Sal yours matters even less.

    ReplyDelete
  32. james corden in the house!

    ReplyDelete
  33. E! will "prescreen" the actors and ask if they feel "comfortable" speaking with Seacrest. Good grief.

    ReplyDelete
  34. rooting for Laurie Metcalf of steppenwolf theatre company of chicago! rip john mahoney

    ReplyDelete
  35. When E keeps the camera on Guiliana instead of seacrest it’s better

    ReplyDelete
  36. I hope Sam Rockwell wins tonight. I never liked any of his previous roles much, but he was spectacular in Three Billboards! Plus it would be good to see a good guy win.

@Alexandria - The Shape of Water is soooo overrated. Disney for adults, just with better acting. I'm afaraid it may win, though. Somehow, Americans can't get enough of fairytales. ;)

    1. Mag, I love everything otherworldly, thought it was really beautiful, and I'm heartless, so out of the nominated movies it stands out. But I'm no expert and I'm immature af, so I respect Your opinion very much! 😄

    2. In the 1st Charlie’s Angels movie
      When Sam Rockwell transformed from
Shy nerd to Evil Monster, I knew he was something

  37. I'm here for the dresses too! All the way from the UK.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I won't be watching the Oscars but I do hope Sam Rockwell wins. I've been a fan of his work since Lawn Dogs. So happy to know he (& Leslie) are on the good guy list!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Sorry but I've got no interest in any of it, from the dresses (seriously?) to the films to the actors. Have fun, everybody. :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. People still watch that farce?

The Razzies had Weinstein's career as part of their in memorium segment.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Betty Gabriel (Georgina from Get Out) looks stunning!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Mac & Me is on the Comet network right now. That is more entertaining than waiting 10 hours to see who gets an award for being the best at playing make believe.

    ReplyDelete
  43. ooo Alison Janey looks emotional. I really need a breakdown this year.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Leslie Bibb's dress is beautiful! And I so agree - if you don't watch the movies and have no interest in the show, by all means feel free to scroll past and stop being Debbie Downer. It's a bad look. 0/10

    ReplyDelete
  45. I am waiting for the catty comments to appear here. Reading CDaN comments is more entertaining to me than watching Oscars. See you guys later!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Is "lovely" the word of the year?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Ashley Judd and Mira Sorvino both look gorgeous....beautiful dresses

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. @Wantsapphires - Donald could be looking for work. A lot of entertainers attend the awards and the after parties to get good roles and such.

      Delete
    2. I think he won one of the honorary Oscars this year.

      Delete
    3. @wantsapphires - @pwal is correct. Sutherland received an honorary award in November.

      Delete
  52. @Alexandria - Good for you :) You'll probably have a great night watching the awards. Shape of Water is bound to get many :)
Meanwhile, it's half past midnight back here and I'm about to waste the night watching this, so Three Billboards sand CMBYN better win SOMETHING to make it worth my time :D

    ReplyDelete
  53. Well, I guess I haven't caught any of the movies this year.

And it's a little tough listening to all that smugness. And from a group that so desperately needs a little more humility.

Besides, all the stuff worth knowing about will be on the Daily Mail tomorrow morning!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Mag, I'm not allowed to watch oscars 😶 lmao I'll be reprimanded for doing so, that's why I'm reading updates on internet and CDAN. In Enty and fellow commenters I trust!

    ReplyDelete
  55. @ Bring Ugly Back....start reading the blind around message 300. From then on it gets more clear with the help of some Hmmmm hints and direction. Someopne guessed it pretty quickly and then things began to progress.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I watched LadyBird last night with wife and teen daughter. I thought it was great and wife/daughter very much enjoyed it. Nice prelude to watching tonight.

Hopefully the focus is on movies and not other things. I fear some may try to play up certain political issues in a cynical attempt to draw attention away from the last 6 months.

P.S. Let's turn the page on Streep. Time to shine the spotlight on some other great performances.

    ReplyDelete
  57. 3 Billboards was a really good movie, I don't say that often lol.

    ReplyDelete
  58. @Adrian Zmed....agree about Streep. 21 nominations I think? A little OTT.

    ReplyDelete
  59. kimmel has a near impossible task hosting this year. david letterman was never the same after he choked that one year

    ReplyDelete
  60. Here's a catty comment. Michael Strahan was a great football player, but he doesn't belong here. Can't ABC get someone better? He's approaching tool territory

  66. Jeanann Williams styled Leslie for the Golden Globes as well as tonight and she's been a stylist for Naomi Watts for a few years now.

    ReplyDelete
  67. tiffany haddish looks like she is auditioning for les liasons dangeruse!

    ReplyDelete
  68. @drewh1979 - I'm with you on Laurie MetCalf and Steppenwolf. Great to see a longtime working actor/actress like Laurie MetCalf get rewarded. She was great in Lady Bird, especially at the end. She really captured that mother-daughter tension and her struggle to bond under great family stress.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Whether they're going to Ryan bc they believe he's a victim of extortion or bc their agents are forcing them...its making for very awkward interviews.

    ReplyDelete

  76. Adrian Zmed ...Alison Janney always wins everything and her trophy case is full! give it to roseannes sister!!

    ReplyDelete
  77. The only positive thing I can say about ABC's red carpet coverage is that I'm not paying for the stream. Nobody is coming as close to doing it as entertainingly as Joan Rivers did.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. +1 RIP Joan. Hopefully she's critiquing hilariously in Heaven

      Delete
    2. I've been lamenting the loss of Joan hard core since the Weinstein story came out. No doubt the bon mots woild have been gold, plus I bet she knew some stuff too. remember what she said about JLaw?

      Delete
    3. As I remember... She f*cked for Oscar so f*ck her.

  78. Another vote for Laurie Metcalf. A friend who lived in Chicago back in the early days of Steppenwolf and said their work was amazing. And TV fans of "Frasier" will always love her as his first wife Nanny G!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Jennifer Garner is being fake AF.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Is anyone else digging Paz Vega’s cherry blossom dress? I’m loving it!

    ReplyDelete
  81. @ OB what did she about JLaw?

    ReplyDelete
  82. I got bitch all nothing to say. Watching other BS.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Helen Mirren puts all the others to shame! WOW

    ReplyDelete
  84. Margot Robbie brought her mom, as did Timothee Chalamet.
Standard move for women with marriage troubles and closeted men. IJS...

    ReplyDelete
  85. Micheal Strahan is so uncomfortable to watch and was weird for him to "send it to" the six people sitting in empty movie theatre rooting for del Toro lol what was that?

I would normally not watch Oscars let alone interviews but you folks make this fun! thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Betty Gabriel & Helen Mirren for the win.

    Oh Whoopie......

  94. I went to Daily Mail to see red carpet pics (I cut the cord so I can't see it on tv even if I wanted to).

I mostly saw were anorexic, masculine looking women in poorly constructed gowns. You would think these high fashion designers could construct proper garments for breast support.

Dame Helen Mirren and Jane Fonda look nice. Sir Patrick Stewart looks like he is holding back a laugh, as usual.

I'm going back to the Oscar forums. See you guys later!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Sutherland is receiving the Governor's Award tonight.

E! just had a pic of Mary J. Blige and were gasping at how gorge the bodice was and all I could see is her left breast about to crawl out of the bodice and up the side of her face. Clearly one of the implants escaped captivity.

I wonder how many baby fetuses Jane Fonda consumes to maintain her "look"?

    Nicole Kidman...WOW! Perfection.

  96. roseanne world premier tv trailer during the oscars! maybe she will re do the national anthem

    ReplyDelete
  97. Betty Gabriel looks drop dead stunning!!! 😳 Alison Janney killin it. Greta Gerwig wins for most unlikely color to pull off. Whoopi — yikes. Daniel Kaluuya looks great put the color of his jacket reminds me of a valet or sleazy realtor. Allison Williams - pretty dress but she needs a better stylist to soften up her hair and masculine features, especially if she insists on having such a gaunt, shapeless figure. Disappointed by saorise’s dress - she usually takes bigger fashion risks. Mary J looks gorgeous, but would be better w/o the tats. Margot R looks pretty and I like her hair cut.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Anyone else find it odd that there were barely any blinds about the Oscars over the last 10days, like the obvious one about Seacrest interviews and then nada. What's up with that?

    ReplyDelete
  99. imho:

Sorvino - glamorous, classy, ethereal, beautiful.
Kidman - disgusting dress. Who made that monstrosity?
Abbie Cornish - lovely dress, but she doesn't do it justice. Who the heck is her stylist? Sack her/him.
Elizabeth Moss - boring dress that makes her look frumpy.
Viola Davis - simple, structured dress that looks wonderful on her. Big tick.
Saoirse Ronan: nice simple classy dress that needed some beautiful, expensive jewellery around her neck to pimp it up. Without the jewellery she looks awfully bland.
Kelly Rippa: don't like the dress; don't like the woman. She clearly has an eating disorder. Nothing looks great on such a thin body.
Emma Stone - Just no. Did she get dressed wearing a blindfold? Someone help Emma out.
Allison Janney - That dress looks perfect on her. Age appropriate, classy but sexy. That dress does to her body what any dress should do to a woman's body--perfect it.
Margot Robbie - can make any dress look good. I like that she wears the dress and the dress doesn't wear her. But Margot, you're looking too thin. Eat a burger.
Blanco Blanco - why is she wearing the Indonesian flag?? Flags should be outlawed at the Oscards, especially ones that have to be stickied to your boobs.
St Vincent: when did wearing a black nappy become a fashion statement?
Salma Hayek - She's got an amazing body. She's beautiful. But today she just looks frumpy. Why is she dressing a 10-year-old child who looks like she hasn't been exposed to the 21st century? Too much sparkles; too much frills; too much purple.
Sam Rippon: when did BDSM go mainstream? I don't care what you wear when you picking up men, but please don't shove it down our throats at all-age events.
Jennifer Lawrence - Blech! Why is she dressing like a 60 year old?
Andra Day - a touch of Christian LaCroix but she's not pulling it off.

  102. I used to love watching the Oscars as a little girl obviously to see the gowns and movie stars. Coming from South Africa, my mum and I stayed up till 3am waiting to see if Charlize Theron would win for Monster and we weren’t disappointed. Now I couldn’t give a rats arse to watch all of these fake, botox’d overpaid narcissists and perverts strut their sponsored gowns and loaned jewelry. WGAF?!

  103. Went and read the Awww Shucks post and I don't see any guesses for Samwise. Have they been deleted? Or am I missing something. Anyway Oscars was somewhat interesting. Glad Sam Rockwell won.
