This A- list mostly movie actress who usually exclusively focuses on comedies got her start in television. She wants to be in a new superhero movie, but part of any deal is she only has to do very very limited press. She just has severe issues doing things like that or meeting the public.
Kristen Wiig

Kristen Wiig
She doesn't "usually exclusively focuses on comedies" which doesn't even make sense anyway (which is it, "usually" or "exclusively"???)
ReplyDeleteAnxiety is a true mofo! She must really hate one-on-one interviews, because she never seemed nervous & was always amazing on SNL.
ReplyDeleteIs she the lead actress then she will have to. These big budget super hero movies need to make as much money as possible, usually in the first weekend before everyone realizes it blows chunks big time. So the more PR the better.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting that this is about Kristen Wiig because it's common knowledge that Kate McKinnon absolutely HATES being interviewed. She was the subject of a Vanity Fair cover story and it did not go well.
ReplyDeleteShe’s also not on twitter or uses a brilliant disguise.
DeleteWhat kind of "brilliant disguise" are you thinking?
Delete@Sandybrook One of the leads. She's in talks to play Cheetah in the Wonder Woman sequel.
ReplyDelete*sigh* considering how the DC movies have been going I half expect her to show up in the original outfit instead of the more modern werecat look.
ReplyDeleteAfter Ghostbusters evisceration and the hate the DC films get, I don't blame her for wanting to dodge the press. She's a curveball choice, but she could be really good in this. Let Gal talk to the baying mob.
ReplyDeleteWatch her in "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee". Wiig explicitly talks about how she hates talking in front of groups of people. Like she can perform on stage no problem, but she completely freezes up and gets super anxious and nervous at a dinner party.
ReplyDeleteIf it's Wonder Woman then maybe they can do w\o her doing the PR tour since everyone would want Gadot anyway.
ReplyDeleteShe really needs to work on that, she has the resources.
ReplyDeleteI want to play shortstop for the Yankees, but i dont want to exercise or train to learn the position. Should i hold my breath until the world changes for me or should i consider other jobs?
ReplyDeleteat least she's putting it out there beforehand. make a kick-ass movie and it could speak for itself, then come up with some ingenious creative shtick to self promote. interview herself or cardboard cutouts in strategic locales with voicebox. some shit could be really comical but if the movie is shit aside from pride it's a win win she'd want to hide anyhow
ReplyDeleteLMao! I almost did that once! I was going to do a YouTube video where a lion hand-puppet interviews me (all the funnier because I've never actually been asked to do an interview IRL—parodying thirst is my favourite thing to do). π¦ππ¦π¦
Delete*The lion-puppet because one of my roles in the series of skits was as a housewife who roars like a lion.
Deleteyou should do it scandi you seem to have a lot of creative energy and genuine love of performing, channel it all into a channel ,maybe create and act out your own skits or roles you have done. throw it all out there and see what sticks, even haters equal clicks and you may get some positive feedback , constructive criticism or maybe just have some fun. or release all that pent up stalker rage you may even help someone. let me know so I can obnoxiously type "first!"
Delete*who's reading this in 2018?
Lucyyyyyyy!!!! Thank you. You're very, very kind. ππππππ
DeleteYou know who DID let out a lot of pent up anger against their stalker in video? Mimi in her video "Obsessed" (apparently she's a huge "Mean Girls" fan). π
*I'M READING THIS IN 2018!
I generally don't get crushes on celebs, but I have a huge thing for Kristen. Maybe it's because she's from where I'm from. I just crush on her, hard. She's my "type", I guess. Loved her in Paul, especially!
ReplyDeleteWho cares? So overrated, to me. One note wonder. And she way lost me when they had that big “farewell” show when she left SNL. They didn’t do that even for Gilda, who richly deserved to be celebrated.
ReplyDeleteKristen is an incredibly nice person and as far as you can get from having what I think of as a typical actor's personality. In fact, I'm kind of surprised she has made it as far as she has because she just doesn't have the pushiness, the drive to self-promote, etc. Worked with her once years ago, can't say enough nice things about her. I'm sure her co-stars won't mind sucking up the extra attention if she no shows for some things.
ReplyDeleteI like the alleged Wiig blind where the dude tried to break up w/ her in a publoc setting, to avoid a meltdown, and she blurted out "You cant break up with me, i let you fuck my ass." or something similar, which everyone in the reataurant heard.

DeleteThat was Fabrizio.Morretti from the Strokes. LOL
I love The Strokes. Why isn't their song "Hawaii Aloha" available anywhere anymore? There was a video of it from MTV on YouTube but it's not on Apple Music or anything. πΊπΉπ©π»π΄πΆ
DeleteI usually despise any SNL'er, and we all know what comedians are like IRL. But she has always appealed to me, just seems like a nice, real person. What a waste of her intelligence and beauty to do goofy comedy.
ReplyDeleteher Toni Erdmann remake is being deliberately postponed until they know for sure jack nicholson isnt the next spacey/weinstein/hoffman
