Ricky Martin
With men or women???
ReplyDeleteShould be singer turned actor turned
ReplyDeletesinger turned actor
I just saw him in the Versace movie
Wow, how sad. Ricky just had to get married and now that he's got the guy, he cheats. If I was the husband, I'd dump him and move on. What. A. Tool.
ReplyDeleteTHIS is why I don't understand why these idiots get married in the first place! Ricky didn't have to marry so why bother?!
ReplyDeleteThe agreement that two people have in a union is their business.
ReplyDeleteLike others mentioned while guessing, it sounds like they have an open marriage, which does seem to be more common with gay men. (As opposed to straight men with wives who wouldn’t agree to it who resort to cheating). It’s a bit different if that is indeed their arrangement.
ReplyDeleteI guess loving and cherishing means different things to different folks. My wife and I are super monogamous, but that’s just part of our personalities.
It’s a valid expression of sexuality to separate sex from love and to choose to marry for love while keeping sex open as long as both partners are on the same page.
I don’t GET it and I sure as hell wouldn’t agree to it. But I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t heard of people who practice that way having perfectly happy long marriages, too.
@tiny I believe you. All the couples I know who agreed to an open marriage were either an older generation (married before Betty Friedan published) in which the woman didn’t actually want to have to “put up” with having sex with her husband anymore or gay men who viewed their emotional, familial, and economic connection through marriage as something totally separate from sex.*
ReplyDeleteI have never known it to work with a lesbian couple or a bisexual/monosexual couple for long, though.
*The description of which puts me in mind of going out to dinner. They enjoy going out to dinner together, and with others, but it’s not a big deal if they go out to dinner without the other either.
Eh, his husband might not like it but Ricky’s honest and upfront about it and the husband can choose whether that’s acceptable.
ReplyDeleteTo me this is different from lying and sneaking around on the DL.
I'm gay and Ricky shouldn't be getting married if he's going to live like a bachelor. And his husband is an idiot too for agreeing or not vetting the situation will enough. Ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteMakes me sad this is Ricky. His childhood must have really been messed up. He shouldn't have married
ReplyDeleteBecause you have to have a traumatic childhood to want to have sex with more than one person? I am trying not to piss myself lauging at your armchair psycology.
DeleteThere are no universal rules for relationships or marriage, and if he had a problem with Ricky doing other people he wouldn't have married him. The idea that Ricky's preference for nonmonogamy would be a surprise to him is very unliklely.
Thankfully no one needs your approval to get married or have sex. The delusion of moral superiority on here is nauseating.
This is entertainment gossip, people. If it wounds your sacred worldview to realize that people live their lives without needing you to understand or condone them, maybe you should stick to mainstream media.
He got married and they had kids, so did he get married just to be able to do that?

ReplyDelete@sandybrook, per Wikipedia, Ricky Martin became the father of twin boys in August 2008, and started dating Jwan Yosef (his husband) in April 2016, so the answer to your question has to be no.
ReplyDeleteThis blind doesn't read like Ricky's husband anticipated an open marriage. Ricky wouldn't have had to dictate the terms, and in such a hard line take it or leave it manner, if that were the case. If this is true, it sounds like he may be having 2nd thoughts.
And it makes sense to you that enty would have insight into what Ricky's husband did or did not anticipate marriage would be? Really?
Delete“Eddie, I want half.”
ReplyDelete@supapimp +1! LOL

ReplyDeleteWell, it seems like Ricky is trying to promote his husband's art work in a video that I saw of a home tour. So, there's that. He's getting greater exposure than he would have ever had.
ReplyDeleteSome guys think that money and power equals the right to screw others as they please. Jwan must find something tangible in their marriage to accept it. Or maybe he's just one of those guys who has always separated love from sex and doesn't really care either way? I know a couple of gay marriages like this. There is always one partner who doesn't like it but accepts it.
Moocho money does change things.
ReplyDeleteThe Golden Rule applies.
The one with the Gold, rules.
Too bad for the children though
I would hope there is some kind of relationship
with the Egg Donor Mom
Want nonmonogamy? Don't get married. Simple.
