Blind Item #5

This permanent A list rocker was really out of it at a recent dinner. He was talking to himself and kept getting up and down while at the table. He would pace around in a circle before he would finally agree to sit back down and then repeat the process three or four minutes later. It was driving the diners closest to him and his significant other, nuts.

I agree. This sounds like someone tripping on some wild stuff though.

  4. Both Tricia13 & Brayson87 are correct.

I read a story that claimed Steven Tyler called his band mates to tell them he heard an amazing song on the radio & they should cover it. They asked him what it was, he told them. The band told Steven that *was* them he just heard.

  5. Oh no, this does sound like dementia. Too much alcohol abuse for sure can cause Korsakoff Syndrome later on.

And any drugs done while your brain is still wiring up (process completes at age ~25 for women & ~30 for men) can lead to later fronto-temporal dementia or FTD-like symptoms (bizarre behavior(s) ordinary people will think you are on drugs, are having some other mental health issue).

teepasnow.com has good videos on how to handle someone with dementia. This person needs medical screening ASAP. Positive thoughts for his (her?) loved ones.

  8. Keith Richards? It's a miracle he's even still alive.

  9. VDOVault, good comments, agree with everything you wrote, but it's important to note that heavy drinking causes brain damage, period. It's weird how this obvious fact flies under the radar, even while every metropolis has some kind of custodial facility for the damaged.

  13. Steven Tyler at the Muhammad Ali Celebrity Fight Night in Phoenix. It’s especially sad because this event is a fundraiser for Alzheimer’s research...
