Blind Item #3
We have always known this former A+ list rapper is an a-hole. The way he treats his kids and mothers of those kids should have shown that. He cares about nothing but himself and this week added a bunch of new haters to his long list of haters for his comments about a rival. There is no one who will want to work with our former A+ list rapper now.
50 Cent
ReplyDeleteCurtis James Jackson.

Yeah, he’s busy talking shit about Rick Ross, who’s near death in the hospital. No class whatsoever.
ReplyDeleteHe’s a enemy to him, he won’t be “singing praises” about his enemy.
DeleteDo any of these rappers have any class? Most of their subject matter tells me no.
ReplyDeleteFifty should hang out with Ryan Murphy. See which one croaks first. Aholes
ReplyDeleteI'm shocked that a former crack dealer who was shot nine times and blew through (hundreds of) millions of dollars on baby mamas, lavish properties and other foolish investments isn't the salt of the earth! Why do our heroes always let us down?
ReplyDeleteLol @ Ernie
DeleteHe’s as cold as they come. 50.
ReplyDeleteNot a generalization, but this is common with Rappers hahaha
ReplyDeleteYeah, but fuck Rick Ross too.
ReplyDeleteDiddy gets a pass because Power is so fucking great.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to Rick Ross? Why is he dying?
ReplyDelete@Orangesoda - the sandra rose site reported Rick Ross is on ECMO. Survival rates for adults placed on ECMO is 50 to 75 percent.
DeleteRick Ross was involved in an assault and kidnapping among other things. Not offended at all by what 50 Cent said.

It’s surprising, but you know what they say about heroes with clay feet. 😊
Only believe 1/2 of what you hear about rappers' pasts. https://www.bet.com/news/music/2015/12/22/is-50-cent-s-shot-9-times-story-a-lie.html
ReplyDeleteIt's PR that helps with their fans. They don't care if it creates a negative image with those who already don't care about the genre. He just got caught in a big lie about having a bitcoin fortune.
Unfortunately, for those who do care about the genre, it paints a bad picture overall.
I thought i’d read that was BS. Thanks.

ReplyDeleteYeah. I judge people by how they treat the mother of their children too. I don't care about men who are rude about asking for paternity tests, but once it's confirmed that it's yours, you better behave. You can be an asshole all you like with an ex if you don't have children with them, but don't be an ass to the mother of your own offspring.
ReplyDeleteBack in 2015, this D-list guy was in a legal dispute and his ex-wife filed (?) an injunction (I'm not sure what that is in the Anglo legal/common law systems?) against his book because she wanted to protect their son (who was a minor at the time). Common law courts also use a jury, maybe not always—but I think this was a very public legal dispute (which is a huge deal if you have celebrity "friends").
Anyway, the dispute itself had the vibes of something that belonged in a family court, but it ended up seeming like a asymmetric warfare (he probably had a legal team provided by his publisher—I don't know this for a fact, but you'd think he'd have a good legal team, and he dragged his A-list friend to "support" him on court day—which, I GUARANTEE YOU, with or without his direct involvement and "support", no doubt would he would've name-dropped him anyway—if I were the A-lister's adviser, I'd tell him to stay the fuck away from it because it felt so wrong for for some reason, not "a bad look/bad optics/PR bad" wrong, but something fundamentally morally wrong). It just felt like powerful people bullying a woman just trying to protect a minor, you know? And all the fans of the A-lister cheered the win and bought the book.
I hope if things go sour, The A-lister has a defence (like: I had no idea, I was too busy with my own life's mess to check the details of what I was "supporting", anything! Even "I had drug problem wasn't thinking straight", would've been a good defence). It doesn't feel right and the truth will come out, it always does. What was he thinking?
Anyway, after had won the case, he had the gall to say, "IN THIS COUNTRY WE DONT BAN BOOKS." Sounds like an innocent expression of patriotism/victory, right? Not to me.
It sounded jingoistic and almooooost semi-racist (like this came out of someone who looks down on developing countries with human rights problems—even if his media outlet of choice on the surface is The Guardian). As an Asian person who lives in Asia (we had books banned during a military dictatorship), it came off like the words of a closet racist, you know?
He said it like he just won a legal battle against some oppressive government or the Queen of England/the a PM herself (like as if his book was banned by institutionalised oppression or something). I was just like thinking THIS IS SO, SO WRONG! Get off your self-important high-horse, that was the mother of your own child trying to protect the minor that was your own son!!!!
Makes me wonder if he has delusions of grandeur too. So, so messed up...
sandra rose dot com has an interesting post about rick ross maybe faking all this.
ReplyDeleteTBH Rick Ross is no better of a person
ReplyDeleteNo way no how it's 50. He has baby mama drama but is NOT a shitty parent to his kids and from all accounts is a chill guy. I'm gonna go with DMX. 15 kids with 9 baby mamas at last count. Rival is Jay-Z and makes no bones about it.
