Tween girls aren't going to get wet when they know their hunk of spunk loves to suck down on D and get covered in man milk. Maybe he could get into that Sam Smith market, or appeal to the blue hair Tumblr crowd, who think that straight sex gives you coochies, because weighing 300 lbs and looking like a hot smelly mess has nothing to do with dudes not wanting to bang you. I say the more homos come out the closet the better, all these straight for pay actors and singers is false advertising, and that's wrong.

Boy Bands are carefully put together to appeal to prepubescent girls fantasies. They have to be good looking, project as uber hetero, each representing a fantasy archetype. The bad boy, the sensitive one, the joker, the jock etc. This shit is all about moving product via young girls wet underpants. You don't get them wet you don't sell records and tickets.

Half his fans want him to be gay so he plays both sides to keep 'em happy. Don't get me wrong, I do think he's messed with guys in the past but c'mon he's never gonna put out a statement anywhere near soon.

I find it truly shocking that heterosexual women prefer gay male porn to straight porn. ReplyDeleteI thought Harry's secret guy is Xander Ritz, who is an athlete. Which would make Enty's clue confusing because he's not foreign-born (believe he's from Pennsylvania). Never heard of Xavier Dolan dating him (he's supposed to be with Winter Soldier right now).
Maybe this blind is referring to another One Direction member (Niall and Liam were both rumored to be dating athletes).
Ugh, I looked for a blind like this Wednesday. The puffy shirt and a lyric about messing around does not make Harry gay or bi. He just has the luxury of being able to f—- anyone in any room.

ReplyDeleteSomeone mentioned Sam Smith he is openly gay and his second album is selling in the millions worldwide. So I do not see why Harry Styles needs to be coy. He should just come out. Notice no one in One Direction solo album is selling millions.Zayn Malik and Niall Horan debut albums along with Styles success is just moderate. Coming out might help give Harry Styles an edge make him distinct.

ReplyDeleteHarry Styles and Xander Ritz. Anyone can see that. It has started way back in 2015 when they were super obvious and they're still hanging out. Plus 'Medicine' - Harry's song about messing around with a guy - was written in 2015.

ReplyDelete1) One Direction members were marketed as sex symbols from the start. Sam Smith was overweight so no one cared who he was dating (but they're more interested now that he's lost the weight)
2) One Direction members don't hold a candle to Sam Smith when it comes to vocals. Now that they've gone solo, people are actually paying attention to their singing, and they don't want to shell out money for just "merely good."
Both of these factors make it harder for Harry to come out. But I agree with you that he should do it, for three reasons:
a) He'd be a lot happier in general. I think he's been itching to do it (he was dropping clues all over the place before his management pushed him back in) and he'd love to be able to walk around freely with his BF.
b) His fans are already the comfortable with the idea of him being with a man. They were convinced he was dating Louis Tomlinson (and shipped them hard), and many also knew about Xander back in 2015 (they created whole Tumblr pages about them). So he doesn't really have much to lose -- it's not like he relies on homophobic people for album sales. And his hardcore fan base will always be there.

ReplyDeleteI can see Harry doing the whole beard marriage thing like you say. Why not, lots of other stars get away with it.
But I think it partly depends on his career. If he releases a few more albums that don't light up the charts, he'll probably feel like he has nothing to lose if he comes out. Conversely, if his next album is a hit (or his acting career takes off), he's more likely to stay in the closet. It's an interesting test case, as I can't remember a musician leaving so many clues without actually coming out as bisexual or gay.
