Blind Item #2

Everyone keeps asking when this foreign born permanent A list solo and in a group singer is going to start seeing an improvement in his health. Probably not ever unless he kicks that drug habit. His significant other is not helping because she never tries to intervene.

  4. Such a shame. So many singers end up dead way before their time due to drugs. I wish they had half as much willpower as they do talent.

    1. Maybe that is a casualty of the artistic types - addiction.

  8. Old geezer on heroin, yuck. There comes a point when you have to give up the lifestyle and start acting your age, you know bouncing the grandkids on your knee, playing bingo, going on cruises, complaining about orientals and homos, that kinda thing. Problem with boomer celebs is they still think they're young and people find their drug fuelled stupidity cool and interesting not sad and pathetic. Boomers are awful.

  9. Why do we think this is Neil Young, why would people be asking about an improvement in his health, did he get a medical procedure done lately? I like Weird Al but I'm not sure if I ever want to hear his version of Cinnamon Girl. Don't want that song ruined for me. Even if Neil is addicted I'm sure he would rather not be... but, ya know.... ADDICTION IS A BITCH!

  10. Neil young is 73. He’s not going to get “better”.

  12. Since when is Bono solo?

  13. I don’t think it’s Neil, either. I just don’t like him.

  14. I think it’s Phil.

  15. Yeah Phil Collins is a great guess. He's had massive success as a group and solo. He's Perm A. He's had major health issues which have been supposedly improving. No idea what drugs he's on though, I'm assuming oxy or something. Good guess Dallas Alice!

  16. Thanks, VB. Guesser beat me to it, but IIRC, among Phil’s health issues is a back injury. His SO (ex-wife) also has a myriad of health issues, so it may not be in her best interest to intervene.

  17. Just after returning from the 1968 tour, Dennis Wilson bonded with another local musician, a guy by the name of Charlie Manson. When Dennis introduced his new friend Charlie to his buddies in the Buffalo Springfield, Neil Young in particular was quite smitten – so much so that he reportedly went to record mogul Mo Ostin and recommended that Ostin sign Charlie right away.
How many of you, by the way, were getting a little worried that Manson wasn’t going to make an appearance in this chapter of the Laurel Canyon saga?

  18. Phil sounds right for this.

I thought of Robbie Williams first, but he is on tour right now.
Boy George would have been a 'suspect' too but I saw him on stage recently and he is touring with the b-52's this summer.

  20. I read Phil Collins has nerve damage in his arms. Maybe his addiction started because of the pain.

  21. Vessimede Barstool - your comments always make me laugh. I have three aunts/uncles who are now in their 80s (wait, one is 90!) and this is what they're doing: "playing bingo, going on cruises, complaining about orientals and homos, that kinda thing."

haha. True!! I thought of Robbie, then his comments on George Micheal, that then led to Boy George, obviously I forgot the pronoun along the way!!

  25. Neil Young has type 1 diabetes and epilepsy. I find it hard to believe he would have lasted this long with a serious drug problem.

  26. Neil Young is not a Boomer. Misses it by a year.
