Blind Item #11

This A list legend is speaking the truth about her recent payments for acting. She gets scale and nothing more. However, one thing she is not being completely open about is that she has increased her nightly fee for what makes her a legend by close to 50% because of the acting which her agents cite when booking her.

    Mary J Blige was just talking about losing money on Mudbound and voiceover for the Gnome movie, because her (upgraded) travel and accommodations cost more than her salaries.

    An entertainment legend gets paid scale for her acting roles but her acting roles are getting her extra pay now for doing what made her a legend in the first place.

    This is about a dual talented celeb who is making more money in the other profession because her current acting career has bumped her up a notch. Sounds like Mary J and the people who are paying her scale are ripping her off regardless. They should be outed, not her.

    The wording makes it sound like she's escorting LOL. They mean she's jacking up the price for music shows based on her visibility from the movies, so she isn't really losing in the end. She owes millions to her label for record advances that sales didn't cover.

    Mary J Blige is indeed a legend and not just to black people. She has sold over 70 million records worldwide. Blige is the most successful female soul singer in the past 25 years.

    Blige is so successful that she owes her record company $25million,doesn't own any of her catalog, cannot cause her money to be well managed, and repeatedly picks men who bleed her dry. Maybe the acting will work out for her, who knows?
