This foreign born B list mostly television actress who is in her first big English language hit recently got engaged to this A+ list singer who rarely sings in English. The thing is though she was telling people last night some things that totally contradict being engaged.

ReplyDeletePrince Royce is definitely an A list singer who has been around for a long time (I remember learning about him in 2010). I don't know who Emeraude Toubia is, other than from this blind and googling a picture of a big ass ring on "that finger"
Not knowing who they are doesn't equate to no one knows who they are. He's been nominated at almost every major music awards show, and won 153 of them.
ReplyDeleteYou not knowing them (or at least him) doesn't mean no one does. I barely know any of the younger celebs blinded on here, or reality show stars, but that doesn't mean I think the rest of the world is just as unaware of them as me.

ReplyDelete@ Don — A couple of years ago when I sent my friend a link to the “Dick in the Box” video, she replied that she didn’t get it. I told her, “It’s a parody of any other Justin Timberlake song, with the guurrrrllllll, you know how much I loves you lyrics, and she told me that she didn’t know any Justin Timberlake songs. Of course she did! Being aware of or knowing his songs does it mean liking his songs or liking him as an artist.

I never did understand how that "Dick in a Box" skit was funny. People act like it's as legendary as the Cow Bell thing, but i guess I just didn't get the reference.

I also like the parody videos he did with Andy Samberg, who I think is very comedically talented and hope he finds another good project, like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, to keep him working. I think he's one of those comics that just need to find that perfect niche and he could end up with a very long career. Timberlake...I'll just say I liked him for a long time, but after his "acting" and recent songs, not to mention him growing up to be just another douche, I no longer find him appealing. I also had a crush on Chachi, which didn't end well. Maybe I need therapy for dysfunctional fake relationships.

ReplyDelete@ Scandi - As I mentioned above, “dick in a box” is a parody song. Guy is such a vain playa that he’s going to do his lady the great honor of presenting his dick to her as a gift. No jewelry for her, no new car, she gets his wrapped up dick on her birthday, Valentine’s Day and Christmas. Guuurrrrllll, if dat aint love, I dunno what is.
