Blind Items Revealed #3
February 16, 2018
Don't believe the hype. This A+/A list mostly movie actress who is an Academy Award winner knew exactly what she was doing when she took a recent role. She knows everything about every role she is offered. She decided the paycheck was worth any backlash.

Natalie Portman/Annihilation
The only Annihilation people are talking about is what Black Panther is doing to the box office.
ReplyDeleteFree publicity for Annihilation. See how it works?
ReplyDeleteIt seems as if people and critics are raving about this and it drew $900,000 in sales at a preview last night. So what's the problem? Oh and Enty's bff (she's on TV too) is in it
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for blind items like this. We learn so much.
ReplyDeleteGuys, if you're writing a minority/POC character, make sure to be as explicit as you can about what race your character is, with relevant backstory specific to their identity (even that won't guarantee you won't get screwed over). Eloquence be damned. Better safe than sorry!
Haha, how'd you like Idris Elba in Dark Tower? Or is that okay by you?
DeleteGina Rodriguez and this movie can kick rocks.
ReplyDeleteIf that's about Black Panther, I believe you missed the point of the movie.
ReplyDelete@Mark, at least someone is paying attention
ReplyDeleteI honestly just looked up Annihilation for the first time today and see what the issue is,now
ReplyDeleteThis one is silly. One line in the second book which this film doesn't even cover referenced that the character is part Asian and therefore has high cheekbones. Natalie has high cheekbones if you want to get technical.

DeleteNoted aaaaand noted. 👌🏼👍🏼
DeleteI saw it last night. It was fucking awesome and highly recommended.
ReplyDeleteOh now I understand, thank SteveD. Maybe next time Enty's other bff Bai Ling will get a shot.

ReplyDeleteJust saw the movie -- it's a respectable effort if not a classic mind-blower on a level with John Carpenter's "The Thing." Portman did a great acting job and has nothing to apologize for here...
ReplyDeleteI loved the book but didn't think much of the trailer for the movie.....too much CGI. Ill probably wait until its on Amazon.
ReplyDeleteMostly movie actress AND rapper - she's just released - "The Lonely Island – Natalie’s Rap 2.0 (feat. Natalie Portman) – Single [iTunes Plus AAC M4A]"
ReplyDeleteShe is Mossad. She is evil.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure all these morons were also offended when Morgan Freeman played the role of Red in Shawshank Redemption. You know, Red, the red-haired Irish guy, according to the Stephen King book the movie is based on.
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't understand why anybody puts Natalie Portman in anything. She has so much personality it's like watching paint dry.
ReplyDeleteNot as big of a travesty as the vag-washing of Ghostbusters.
ReplyDeleteshitty book from a middle class prick who married a publisher/editor calling it "weird Fivtion" but it's just SF without scvaring people with the Sf label written by humanities literary type a-holes.
ReplyDeleteit was just a rip off of the uneven brilliant Branon braga show Threshold with Carla Gugino.
worse is giving it to this hack British director who for the first time in british history makes a movie that isn't like a radio play with great VFX just because they want to launder money.
annihilation due to paramount got delayed supposed to have been Arrival's main rival like Dantes Peak vs Volcano.
