  1. Good for him for getting the help he needs and deserves to have.

  2. Love Eminem. Hope he’s getting the help he needs.

  3. Good. I've always had a soft spot for him.

  4. He dated Mariah Carey? Weird addition to a blind about being suicidal. I really loved Eminem, but he’s changed so much on his views, it makes him seem like he’s not been honest his whole life.

    1. @Barbra RiceHand - the info that he dated someone we ALL know was intended to be a major clue. It is a reference to Mariah saying "I don't know her" (Jennifer Lopez).

Mariah claimed she never dated Eminem and had a song about him being obsessed with her.

  5. Hope he is better, now? I, too, have a soft spot for him, some way

    ReplyDelete
  6. Maybe, he says he did, and rapped about her in his rhymes a few times. She says they never dated (which probably means they did after they did a song together way way back).

    ReplyDelete
  7. What has Eminem changed his views about?

He's always been offensive to anyone he pleases, which makes him special and endearing (to me at least.)

    ReplyDelete
  8. Didn't Em have a voice message that Mariah left him that he used to play for shiyts and giggles? He might have even used it as an intro to a song.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Good for him, seems like a good father as well. Shame his new album is pretty weak 'cept for a few good tunes.

    ReplyDelete
  10. He’s always come off as a basket case and an asshole. I’ve never got how people can listen to his excruciating voice.

  12. Didn't see that coming, but they both seem to like variety in their paramours.

  13. He dated Mariah and then discarded her and said some really nasty stuff about her. Not that she's all that but it was still typically classless and selfish crybaby Marshall Mathers behavior. After all, other people only exist to serve Marshall. He has a lot of issues, chief among which is that he never really grew up and now he's an adult who can't function even despite all of the advantages that came to him at an early age due to his phenomental rhythmic angry pouting skillz. At least Mariah can sing.

  16. I am not midwestern, but man, I did grow up poor, and had some minor addictions, (not drugs really) glad to know ppl hate ppl that are poor white and Midwestern with mental issues. Just saying.

    1. @Truthseeker On this one, we’re on the same team.

    2. Ok let me clarify a little, drugs arent bad and neither are poor people, but I hate midwesterners and please dont put me in a roomful of addicts...hes made millions glorifying this pathetic lifestyle. The people who love him think its ok if not great to be that way.

      Delete
    3. How can you hate an entire region of people? Don’t worry I doubt we’d like you either

      Delete
    4. The midwest is the incest and inbreeding capital of the US AND IT SHOWS...haha!

  17. I think he's smart, interesting and probably incredibly difficult. Hope that he can maintain his sobriety and can have some fulfillment.

    ReplyDelete
  18. @truthseeker. Yep. It’s good to know who the snobby dicks are..

    ReplyDelete
  19. Stereotypes and discrimination are wrong no matter where they're directed. MLK taught us to despise people based on their individual character, not their appearance or background.

    ReplyDelete
  20. At least he has lines ready in case Trump ever mentions his name.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I love Eminem. Hope he gets the help he needs. His daughter needs him.

    ReplyDelete
  22. +1 @Truthseeker

But in a way, it is good when the classist/abelist/snobbish folks out themselves from the get-go.

Just consider yourself lucky @Kiki. You haven't had to endure the pain of the loss of a loved one due the addiction. The rest of us here have.

    1. Are u kidding me, ive been surrounded my addicts from day one, why do you think I abhor them? Can you give me a list of thier endearing qualities? Lets see: lies cheating stealing flaky betraying no money cops arrests jail abuse etc this is what he sings about...i know people who love this guy bcuz he justifies thier lifestyle

      Delete
    2. They are human beings

      Goodbye Kiki

      Delete
    3. Spiritually bankrupt human beings...thats what addiction is, spiritual bankruptcy...I'll throw down money and say he's trying to kill himself bcuz hes surrounded by those same uplifting folks and knows he is thier hero and savior...

“What, you tryin' to be my new wife?
What, you Mariah? Fly through twice”

-Superman by Eminem ( not a very pro woman song)

  24. I still laugh endlessly at his little pre-school outburst when he tried to insult President Trump and Trump just ignored him like most of us do, and he had that little tantrum - "WHY WON'T YOU LISTEN TO MEEEEEE!" ahahahaahah God, how embarrassing for him, how amazing for us!

Anyway, if he offed himself, he'd being doing everyone, especially the music world, a huge favor.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I agree with all of those who have a soft spot for him. He's had some great songs over the years and I like that he always remained true to his MI roots. However, the best thing about him is that despite a rough childhood, and his own personal struggles, he seems to have done right by, and been a great father to not only his biological daughter, but also his niece and the daughter his ex had with another man. To me, that speaks volumes more about his character than his "politics" do. Good for him for getting the help needs.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Does that explain all the botox and fillers on his face? he's always had issues, amongst them, his hatred for women.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Do black trash or Asian trash with addictions also fit into the equation?

I grew up poor white trash with no addictions in the midwest.
I worked my ass off and made something of myself.

The hatred toward poor white people amazes me.

I hate the word RACISM because it's almost become meaningless but that's exactly what it is.

p.s. I grew up not too far from Eminem. My summer home is 20 minutes from where he lives now.

  28. Aw come on all you guys except plot; how can you not love a moralizing misogynist? Those are the best kind.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Marshall is an equal opportunity offender of all peoples.

A good honest true misanthrope warms the cockles of my heart (unless they are named Holden Caulfield, what a whiny douche that character is.)

    ReplyDelete
  30. They had more of a fling I'd say but never slept together which he admitted

    ReplyDelete
  31. I like Eminem.
    All rappers say awful shit.
Behind all that, he’s been a good father to his daughter and hasn’t left a trail of little M&Ms all over the planet.

    ReplyDelete
  32. He's real. Unlike those who pretend they're weird just to seem edgy, or the even larger number who pretend they're normal and well-adjusted, he's messed-up and honest about it: witness the lyrics of 'Kim."

    ReplyDelete
  33. Like those people you're talking about would have been great people without addiction and living in a different area. I think you fell for the lies they tell themselves.

Very sad. I have always liked him.

  35. Kikibunny - don't read this. You're too young & ignorant to understand.

After a long debate w/my then teenage son, in which I slammed any and all musicians who wave the Rap flag, he asked me to sit and really listen to some. Some I liked. Some I hated. All in all, I found - for me - Eminem's music conveyed a very poignant social message - from a kid with a totally different social, geographic, economic and generational perspective. I supposed you'd have to be willing to see the world from a social bubble other than your own to get it.

Something most here do. Then there are others (sign, eyeroll and points finger up there) that are just flat out ignorant.

Reminds me of the Benny Goodman vs. the Elvis vs. the Beatles vs. Snoop Dog generations. Most of whom young Keekster up there never had the opportunity to hear on a handheld Tandy A.M. transistor radio.

    F'ing dumb kids.

    1. I used to make tents and listen to soul music on the am radio back in 1971...had all the beatles records by age 10...i've listened to slim shady, over and over unfortunately...I ve toured the US with rock bands...when it got boring everyone would offer up thier horrible tales of various stops and venues in the midwest...mothers offering up thier daughters to meet the band and tag teaming etc...Not a dumb kid honey....gimme a fuckin break.

  36. When you're that full of anger and hate, you're always going to be miserable, help or not. Enty says he 'tried' multiple times...which then looks more like attention seeking, than honestly trying to end it.
Some folks just need to be miserable, so it's unlikely he'll actually benefit from that 'good help'.
Think about it...a happy eminem? It doesn't compute.

  39. I saw 8 Mile. I was furious with his mother's treatment of him- so neglectful and abusive. That scene where he was carrying around his belongings in a hefty garbage bag broke my heart. "As the twig is bent, so grows the tree." Not a fan or anything but that part of the movie killed me. I wish him peace of mind.

  40. Ah. And it finally comes out..

  41. I love him (even if he hates people like me because of politics). I'm glad he is getting help. Depression is rough. Even when you have the world on a platter your brain won't cooperate.

  43. NEWSFLASH - people with addiction issues struggle with depression.

    unbelievable, I know, I know

This is of zero surprise to me and I like Eminem a lot. None of us are perfect but he's tried real hard to do the right thing in a lot of ways. Don't judge his insecurity on his fillers, lots of people are insecure.

    ReplyDelete
  44. @Violet...I remember the first time I heard "Kim"....I was young and sitting around with friends drinking (dark room, surround sound) and it sounded like we were in the song. I still remember the sound of the leaves when "Kim" was running away in the song.

  45. He doesn't hate ALL women. He only hates those women who use people to get ahead in life. Oops. #equality

    ReplyDelete
  46. Eminem is sad because he misjudged who was buying his music.

    ReplyDelete
  47. " hates those women who use people to get ahead in life"

Everyone uses others to get ahead in life. Welcome to capitalism. Why is that particularly repellent when women do it?

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm not sure he's the wonderful Dad people make him out to be. His ex wife said he was not very present around his kids and expected a lot of gratitude when he did anything for them. He did adopt Kim's niece and other daughter, but not her son Parker who he never mentions, which must be weird for him. Hayley has dropped her father's surname and uses her mother's name. He holds the purse strings, so maybe none of them will ever come out and say "no he sucks", but they are adults now and none of them talk about what a great father they have, not even on instagram...

  49. "I'm back on my fuck hoes, with a whole new hatred for blondes, but biased? I hate all bitches the same, baby c'mon! Excuse the pun but bitch is such a BROAD statement and I'm channeling my anger thru every single station that's on!" - Eminem, So Much Better (2013)
