Blind Item #9

This A- list mouse house staple who is old enough to drink is telling everyone that she is thinking of bailing on an upcoming franchise installment because she can't handle the constant groping and being hit on and the obligation she feels to have sex with the director.

  1. I would have said Dove Cameron but her director is known Mo Kenny Ortega, unless she is pegging?!?!

  2. Franchise being "Descendants" series which KO directs

  3. Kenny Ortega will molest anything with a pulse.

I did not know they were planning a third Descendants movie. But of course they are.

  4. KO always struck me as being into dudes

  5. I'm waiting for Hmmmm to chime in with a Kenny Ortega rant lol

  6. Maybe Zendaya in the Spiderman franchise, although I know nothing about the director.

  7. Of course, there's this ickiness:

  8. I didn't even know there was a second Descendants movie. Or is this not a sequel to the underrated George Clooney movie from a few years ago.

  9. @cheesegrater
Nope. It's pure Disney. These descendants are the teenage offspring (or grand-offspring?) of Disney villains (Cruella, Jafar, etc), doing adventure caper type things to prove they're not evil. Or something like that.
They were books "first", but probably only in the loosest sense. Books were likely written, knowing they would be movies. There's even a line of clothes at Target. No way would they stop at 2.

  10. Lord. I'd rather have a sequel to the Clooney movie.

Seriously though, am I alone in loving that movie?

  11. I think it's Sofia Carson over Dove Cameron, but I do agree that it's the Descendants series, with Kenny Ortega being the director. Ugh.

  12. @cheesegrater: you are not alone! I also love that movie and am shocked that not everyone does.

  13. Everyone is being drugged raped and molested

  14. @fustian, yeah I was surprised he wasn't sniffing his fingers by the end of that video, what a perv.

  15. I also love "the Descendants" as does my daughter. How terrible to find out there was so much horror going on! :(

  16. I was still a young and naive parent when the "High School Musical" movies came out, and watched them with my pre-teen children. They were wonderful and we bought the soundtracks, talked about the characters, sang the songs together. We must've watched that first one a half-dozen times. It makes me angry and sick to think what was happening to all those kids behind the scenes. Whatever happened to Corbin Bleu?

Is no one who makes these giant corporations money ever going to get taken down? Only the old and washed up, or designated takeouts who have outlived their usefulness? So much talk and unveiled revelation to those of us who know where to look, but the masses are still totally unaware.

  17. Brayson? I'll spare you the rant. Just know that when Kenny Ortega's time comes? It'll be a long list of wrecked lives he's left in his wake. No rants, but he should have yellow crime scene tape draped permanently around him to keep people (of every age) away. Monster. Total monster. Cross reference his projects (in all his capacities/jobs) through his career vs. those who've turned out with wrecked lives. Not a coincidence my friend. Not at all.

  18. Yes after your last post about him I was surprised by how he could have ruined the lives of so many beloved people, but never be called out for it.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Sadly, he has been called out. Hollywood Reporter spiked a BIG story on him years ago under threat of losing ad revenue from a studio's ad budget. Bastards. You should've seen the shuffling around by lawyers and settlement people in the wake of the MJ death. It was a typhoon of legal clusterfuckery. But someone else will expose him soon enough, unless a similar play occurs. It'll happen because when his protector goes down he will too.

  20. Himmm, do you honestly think that there is a day when all of this gets called out, and brought to the light of day?
I honestly wonder. I read these blinds, and am brought low by the sheer number of people doing it. I'm starting to wonder if Ronan Farrow is our once in the lifetime sort of person for the decade, and if others coming forward will be crushed by the massive, silent people behind the studios. So many lives lost, and ruined.

  21. Hopefully there will be no descendants resulting from their behavior.

  22. If straight men can rape other men, I don't see why being gay rules out a man as a rapist of women. Haven't we been told for decades now that rape is about power, not sex? Seems to me a twisted producer/director, straight or gay, could rape subordinates of either sex to keep them in line.

  23. @RealRescues: I'd say it's about like the truth coming out in D.C. politics or drugs in sports. Some comes out a little at a time, and those without powerful protectors get sacrificed in public. It'll never totally be washed clean, too many people stand to lose too much money. Now is a transition time in Hwood. But the best part of this is that it IS making it harder for the monsters to get away with it, and it IS allowing victims chances to speak up. Any little change is better than none. That's the reality. So time will tell, but some will be brought down and others will stay hidden. Just like steroids in baseball now still exist but are harder to use for players. Or rapey Congressmen these days having to watch their actions. People in Hwood power ARE on notice, and ARE doing better. But we all have to make our own justice sometimes, and even if it means alerting young actresses/actors to avoid one evil leech? It helps. Wish it were a perfect world.

  24. I can't say I'm too surprised by that.
However in the current climate, a media outlet spiking a big story on a habitual offender for the almighty ad dollar, that's a big story in its own right. That's some Harvey level stuff. There are people who wouldn't be afraid to chase that story.

  25. I have KO down for the director in the Ranch blind. I will never be able to watch Hocus Pocus with the same nostalgic fondness :( Which reminds me, whatever happened to Omri Katz?

  26. It blows my mind that there is so much evil running through the entertainment industry.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I've heard Kenny Ortega and Dan Schneider are close acquaintances/friends, but I don't have any concrete proof. I'd like to think if one goes down, heat would be put on the other.

But like Himmmm was implying, could be a pipedream

  28. If you search "Kenny Ortega assault" you'll see a number of mentions of how he "handled" Dove during various TV interviews. Definitely something strange going on there. Such a disappointment. I was a fan of his.

    ReplyDelete
  29. @Himmmm - Thank you for offering up your perspective on this, and highlighting the positive changes that are occurring. I find it helpful, because these blinds make my heart hurt.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I once again apologize for my silly name, I don't know how to change it.
I get so saddened because as a survivor, I know how many lives have been ruined by assault.rape, etc. I don't even find myself wanting to watch movies anymore, nor television (no REAL loss, reading has been my thing anyway.)
Reading about all of these seriously hurts my heart and it is rather scary, as well.
Ronan focused a shining light on things and persevered despite setbacks. Did his background help that happen? I don't know, but I am beginning to think that not all of the cesspool will see the light of day.

  31. My younger sister loves those movies and books. How should I tell her?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I love when Himmmm pops in. I also love the Clooney- Descendants film. Ah, Hawaii...

  33. I think it's Zendaya because Enty says "who is old enough to drink" and Zendaya abstains from alcohol because she says:
"My life is too stressful to need help with relaxing by having a cocktail. This industry is way too nuts for me to not be in control of myself and my decisions, so I just don't want to introduce drinking! Plus, I don’t want drinking to become a vice. Why try something if you don’t need it?!"

Her name is rumoured on the next Spiderman movie. I have no clue about John Watts and him being predatory.

  34. Me and my daughter love "the Descendants" too :/ TBH I feel like almost everything we watch on tv, movies and even music is full of pedos after reading this blog :O

  35. @Jesorella I am unaware of anything that happened on Hocus Pocus and I don't want to know either. I freaking love that movie! Like seriously love it and there's only so much badness you take take on these blinds, but as for Omri Katz, he's seemingly happy being a hairdresser in LA and is retired from acting.

What I'd like to know is what really happened to Johnathan Brandis and Brad Renfro,...

  36. Why doesn't she say something? this is the time to do it and she will be heard.
