It all began unraveling a little over two decades ago. His carefully constructed facade crumbled under the revelation that this permanent A+ list singer had multiple sexual relationships with girls as young as 9. It was the early 90's and he was working on of all things a children's record. It was not his record, but a female singer/songwriter who probably reached a peak of A- list in her career. For the most part, the female singer was a B lister. She did get a top 10 single on the top 200 and a number one on one of the specialized Billboard charts.
She wanted to make a children's record to give her young child something to listen to. It was a nice touch. Anyway, she was working with the A+ lister on the record and he wanted to make a video. So, some kids and their parents were invited to make the video. One of the parents that was at the video was 21 years old. With her was her 7 year old daughter. The father of that 7 year old? The A+ list singer. Yes, that means he impregnated a 14 year old. She was not the only teen he has ever impregnated. There are rumors that there are over a dozen teens he got pregnant through his decades long career.
Usually our singer would brush these kinds of things off and send a team of his lawyers swarming over any teen who tried to cause a fuss in the media. This was not the 70's though. This was this early to mid 90's and it was the late 1980's when he got that particular teen pregnant. The other difference was that the wife of the A+ lister was present when the 21 year old confronted the singer. This was the first time she ever met one of these women. She had heard rumors of their existence but the singer had always blown them off.
The fight that occurred in that studio that day was epic. Apparently much of it was caught on tape. That tape was the death knell for any possible graceful exit for the A+ lister. The wife of the A+ lister then hired someone to break into the safe of the A+ lister. Inside were hours and hours of tapes dating back to the late 1960's/early 1970's of the singer and various teens having sex. There were VHS tapes and reel to reel films. In the safe were documents related to pregnancies of teens and settlements paid. It was a treasure trove of documents and proof. The wife told the mom/singer who had simply just been making a record for kids. That mom/singer was crushed. She had looked up to the A+ list singer. She turned to a friend of hers who was also a singer (B) and told her what had happened. Apparently B knew about the A+ list singer and B said that a very close relative of hers was the same way back in the day. That relative, C, is also a permanent A+ lister and for a decade never had sex with anyone over 18, except for his wife. His philosophy was that he became a rock star to have sex with groupies. Very young groupies.
Going back to our A+ lister, he ended up getting divorced and didn't say a peep about the terms or the amount. He couldn't. His now ex-wife did try and find all the teens that had been impregnated by the singer and gave them each $1M. His settlements with them had been for $25K-50K each. As for the child porn collection? The now ex-wife gave it to her lawyer and so it will remain until after the death of the A+ lister. As for the singer/mom? She basically killed herself. She couldn't handle the fact she had looked up to the A+ lister and had worked with him and brought her own kid(s) around him.

Paul Simon and Edie Brickel?
ReplyDeletesimon and brickel are still married
ReplyDeleteC=Elvis and B is Lisa Marie?
ReplyDeletelionel richie ??
ReplyDeleteKenny Loggins and...?
ReplyDeleteK-Log didn’t order room service...
DeleteI kinda want to go with Jerry Garcia for this.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering about Garth and Mindy McCready (sp?).
ReplyDeleteI thought McCready but she didn't have kids till 2012, this person had a child in 1990
ReplyDeletePete Townsend?
ReplyDeleteHe says he was a victim of child abuse.
DeleteDebbie Gibson and ?
ReplyDelete@Krab This says the person is still alive and Jerry died in 1995. Thank God this isn't about Jerry, I'm a deadhead and would be crushed.
ReplyDeleteNeil Diamond
ReplyDeleteNooooooooooooo! 🙉
DeleteKenny Rogers and Kathy Mattea??
ReplyDeleteTownshend isn’t known as a singer and was married to the same woman from 1968 to 2009. Google before you guess, people!
ReplyDeleteA+ Mick Jagger
ReplyDeleteGheez. Somebody figure it out.
ReplyDeleteJewel has a kids album.
ReplyDeleteTownsend would be called a musician as well as singer in the BI.
ReplyDeleteJewel is still alive...
ReplyDeleteMy guess for B and C are Carnie and Brian Wilson.
ReplyDeleteA+ singer could be a bunch of people
Were the 21 year old mom who A+ impregnated and the singer/songwriter who was recording the album the same person??
I did Google.
ReplyDeleteGet over yourselves.
Townshend isn't a child molester--he was exonerated.
ReplyDeleteYou're right about Garcia. Sorry, Jerry. I was just trying to think of rock stars who made kids' albums.
N aah, he just looked at kiddie porn...he is not to be trusted and should not be allowed here...and I'm a fan.
DeleteI'm thinking rn'b/mor singer not known for hellraising, the special chart ref points to rn'b/country.
ReplyDelete"Basically killed herself" makes me think we are looking for a female singer/songwriter that died from an overdose or some other reckless behavior.
ReplyDeleteNeil Diamond
ReplyDeleteFrom "Most expensive Divorces of LL Time" (URL below):
"Neil Diamond and Marcia Murphey. A generous Neil Diamond gave up $150 million -- half of his estate -- to ex-wife Marcia Murphey when the couple divorced after 25 years of marriage in 1994 and said she was "worth every penny."
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbclosangeles.com/news/national-international/The-Most-Expensive-Divorces-of-All-Time-211565081.html%3famp=y
Looks pretty damning...I just hope it’s not true. :( also the blind said the terms of the A+ lister’s divorce were not made public (no one ever knew how much the ex-wife got) which is why I’m thinking it’s not him. Otherwise, though... be still my heart... that would be a tough one...
DeleteThat looks like a winner. I took it to mean the non-monetary terms (ie she can’t reveal what she knows) weren’t public - in which case this fits
Delete@unknown that song "Sweet Caroline" he did about Caroline Kennedy always creepy imho.
DeleteAmy Grant?
ReplyDeleteI was thinking along the same lines; doesn’t she fits though. What are the “other” bilboard charts besides gospel? Country? Latin American? Dance?
Delete@Krab Haha, Jerry was no saint, but he wasn't a pedo. His kid's album was with David Grisman
ReplyDeletebut it says he never talked about the terms because he was legally unable to. so, no.
ReplyDeleteLast time Jagger was divorced was 1979
ReplyDeleteJust to be different how about Nena for the female singer?
ReplyDelete"Girl, you'll be a woman soon" shudder
ReplyDeleteBob Dylan, Phil Collins and James Taylor all had divorces in the 90's
ReplyDelete@joshg g actually he and Jerry Hall ended their "marriage" in the 90s.
ReplyDeleteBilly Joel?
ReplyDeleteNeil Diamond has quite a few songs that could fit. I read somewhere he wrote Sweet Caroline after seeing a picture of 9yo Caroline Kennedy in her riding gear.
ReplyDeleteWho is the singer who recorded the childrens record in the early 90's. I can't connect Diamond.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@krab, he purchased child porn with a credit card and was caught in a sting. He was never charged with being a molester himself, but the porn charge is real.
ReplyDeleteWe are on the same wavelength guesser. Never forgot those charges and the fact that it was boys. Crappy English laws are to blame.
DeletePete Townsend
ReplyDeletePhil Collins & Vanessa Williams?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteTownsend isn't a singer
ReplyDeleteLoggins was performing in the late 60's/early 70's. I think this would have to be somebody well known at that time
Let my love open the door and his fabulous solo album is where Pete sings. Love that album
DeleteI think a key bit of info that people are overlooking is that the singer/songwriter mother who the A+ singer was recording the children's album with has since died...so count out any female singers who are still living.
ReplyDeleteI actually think this will be easier to solve if you can track down a female singer who had a young child in the early 90's and released a children's album...then work from there.
The Neil Diamond guess works for the A+lister,he could easily been on someone else's record, and his image is well protected.
ReplyDelete@ carolinalily and the singer mom with a children's album killed herself. I was thinking of Wendy O Williams as her music wasn't exactly kid appropriate and might have wanted to "make a children's record to give her young child something to listen to" but couldn't find any such album for her.
ReplyDeleteRonstadt had a kids album in the mid 90's.
ReplyDeleteAaron Neville had a duet.
Agreed - McCready doesn't work since her first kid wasn't born until 2006, but the main issue is:
ReplyDeleteWe need a DECEASED female singer.
Did Whitney Houston have a children's album?
ReplyDeleteTrying to make Mindy McCready work as the country singer who "basically" killed herself. In the 90s she worked on a compilation album called Country Cares for Kids to benefit St. Jude's Hospital. Many other well known country artists participated, but don't know if anyone could be classified as A+.
ReplyDeleteThere is a video, including appearance from Trace Adkins, but is he A+?
FFS Whitney Houston didn't peak at A-.
ReplyDeleteLove this blind though.
It was a question. I barely pay attention to the rankings because they're so subjective. It'll be okay.
DeleteI believe this is Nicolette Larson and her 1994 album "Sleep, Baby, Sleep". Not sure of the male singer yet.
ReplyDeleteDavid Crosby worked on the album, but he has been married only once, to his present wife, although he had many prior relationships.
DeleteI think you got it. Male singer could be Rodney Crowell who divorced Rosanna Cash in 1992.
DeleteFriend B - Astrid Young
Friend B's relative - Neil Young
Neil Diamond works. What about R Kelly.

ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteNicolette Larson who had a huge hit with Lotta Love worked with Graham Nash on that album. He didn't get a divorce for a long time after though.
ReplyDeleteR Kelly doesn’t fit at all.
ReplyDeleteAre there any A+ country singers with careers dating back to the 60s that are still alive? I wouldn’t have the foggiest.
Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley?
Larson did duet with Graham Nash on that record. GnuGuy
ReplyDeleteHe was married in the 90's though.
The Sleep Baby Sleep album that is.
ReplyDeleteYes, the Nicolette Larson thing is good, @GnuGuy. Neil Young, Graham Nash - as Krab pointed out - and David Crosby are all on it, but the marriages don't seem to fit.
ReplyDeleteThe "credits" tab on Allmusic.com is helpful for this blind, everyone.
@Donald Cox, Willie Nelson
ReplyDeleteLooks like Will Ferrell nailed it years ago:
ReplyDelete"It gets crazy on the road, and awful lonely. That's why I love pornography. This next song is all about my love of hardcore, barely-legal pornography. Gary knows what I'm talking about."
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x692ix
Nicolette Larson works perfectly for the A- singer. Which would make the A+ artist Neil Young. I don't think he sang on "Sleep, Baby Sleep" but he contributed a song, and was intimately involved in Larson's career.
ReplyDeleteThe only gap is that Neil Young didn't get divorced until 2014. The item doesn't say when the divorce happened, however.
Nicolette Larson was very close friends with Astrid Young - Neil's half-sister and she worked closely with Neil in the late 70s.
ReplyDeleteI do believe the singer-songwriter to be her.
That would make Astrid Young "B", Neil Young "C", and a contemporary of Neil's as the A+ singer.
David Crosby was featured on that album. So was Graham Nash. Not sure if either are A+. Could have been another featured artist that they removed their track after all of this happened.
Or...Neil Young could be the A+ singer, and someone like Carnie Wilson/Brian Wilson could be B and C.
Maybe not a country singer but a folk/rock singer? How about Neil Young and Nicollete Larson?
ReplyDeleteUgh. I'd rather think it was Crosby or Nash rather than Neil Young. I like Neil Young!
ReplyDeleteI do think this all kind of fits though.
@Krab .... Larson's "Lotta Love", a simple but heartfelt Neil Young composition, she reached the American Top 10 in 1979. "I got that song off a tape I found lying on the floor of Neil's car," she said in interviews. "I popped it in the tape player and commented on what a great song it was. Neil said: `You want it? It's yours.' She recorded Sleep Baby Sleep for the Sony Wonder label in 1994.
ReplyDeleteLove that song!!
DeleteHow about Laura 'Gloria' Branigan?
ReplyDelete@GnuGuy - +1 Great Job!!
ReplyDeleteNicolette Larson (daughter born in 1990; died from liver failure related to her chronic use of Valium and Tylenol PM; suffered from depression)
A+ - Neil Young (she covers a previously unreleased song of his on this album, so he was involved but did not sing). His latest divorce was in 2014 though, so that part doesn't fit.
Here are the Amazon notes for the Sleep, Baby, Sleep album released in 1994:
Listeners familiar with Nicolette Larson's early work as a vocalist with Commander Cody will know right away that this project comes from her smoother-edged solo career. She scored big-easy rock hits, after all, a cynic might add, so it makes sense that her first release of the 1990s (nine years separate this recording and its predecessor, Say When) would be softened by keyboard washes and muted rhythms. But there's a simple reason for this CD's quietude, its floating gentleness: Larson writes in the liner notes that she wrote the songs as she sat by her daughter Elsie May's hospital bed as her daughter recovered. The music had to be all gentle and nonintrusive, and that's how it comes across. This is a great disc to spin as you rock the newborn. Larson's voice peeks out exceptionally as she covers an unreleased Neil Young tune ("Barefoot Floors") and presents a tender reading of "I Bid You Goodnight." Persistently fine layers of accordion and bowed cello give the keyboard-laden environments surprising warmth. --Andrew Bartlett
James Taylor and Nicolette Larson both sang backing vocals on Neil Young's Harvest Moon.
ReplyDeleteMy final guess:
A+ = James Taylor
Singer/Songwriter = Nicolette Larson
B = Astrid Young
C = Neil Young
ex-wife of A+ lister: Kathryn Walker
Larson seems to fit the woman to a T. Crosby, Nash, and Young, however, don't quite fit. Crosby has come up as a guess for a few other blinds because of his very unusual arrangements in the past (including being a foster home, essentially, for Drew Barrymore), so if I were to try and guess one of these guys, it'd be him. Neil Young did get divorced (in 2014), and the blind doesn't specify that the divorce happened in the 90's, although one could certainly infer that from the way it was written. Young, however, remains in partnership with his wife running the Bridge School Benefit, and I couldn't see her continuing to do that if she knew what she knows.
ReplyDelete@pkelly, another blind had some nasty stories on James Taylor.
ReplyDeleteHow do you figure Laura Brannigan? She had multiple top 10 hits, not just one. And she died from a brain aneurysm, not suicide.
ReplyDeleteAnother bit of info if C = Neil Young...
ReplyDeleteDrew Barrymore lived with him and his wife for a year when she was 14 and fresh out of rehab {shudders}
Sorry, I meant David Nash, not Neil Young for the Drew Barrymore bit.
ReplyDeleteLarson never had a top 10 on the Billboard 200. She did have a #1 adult contemporary.
ReplyDeletePhyllis Hyman had a #1 R&B and killed herself. Can't find another top 10 song though.
ReplyDeleteYes she did--Lotta Love hit #8 on the Billboard Hot 100. I remember it--it was a huge hit in 1979.
ReplyDeleteHyman had no children.
ReplyDeleteRodney Crowell is hardly permanent A+
ReplyDeleteOT - I'm waiting for Drew Barrymore to speak up on the #metoo movement and reveal what she knows or what may have happened to her when she was young. After all, we are talking about a girl who started in the business as a baby, had basically zero parental guidance or supervision, ended up in rehab by 13, came up in the business with the Coreys, etc. Plus, with all of her "girl power" stances, I can't believe she has stayed silent thus far.
ReplyDeleteI agree. It's very disappointing she hasn't said anything. I've always liked how outspoken she has been but her lips sure are sealed now.
Delete@carolinalily,I think you mean Drew lived with David Crosby and his wife. Neil Young did get divorced, not until 2014 when he took up with Daryl Hannah. The Nicolette Larson part fits, but a lot of A+singers were on the album. Neil Young was married to Peg for the time period listed. It is possible they made an arrangement to stay married to maintain his image and keep the money coming.
ReplyDeleteHis 2 kids have CP and require round the clock care. I hope it's not him. OMG
DeleteBravo to the wife, for trying to help the women hurt by her husband! Who ever he is, his lost a good woman.
ReplyDelete@Don Navatto:
ReplyDelete"Lotta Love" reached #8 on the Hot 100 and #1 on the adult contemporary chart, which fits the description perfectly.
My guess: Nicolette Larson who died in 1997. Children’s album is Sleep, baby, sleep and the perm A list is Neil Young.
ReplyDeleteWhy is posting to this website so slow and buggy? Still DOS attacks?
ReplyDeleteNeil Young got divorced last year. This ain’t him. Nor Dylan, or Jerry.
ReplyDeleteDavid Crosby and Nicollete Larson.
ReplyDeleteAnother note about Taylor: ex Carly Simon also recorded music for kids (no not saying it's her - she's permanent A- list, at least - but pattern and all).
ReplyDeleteToo bad the ex-wife is keeping the evidence hidden until it's too late to prosecute the predator.
ReplyDeleteI did see a blind on an old gossip log that was about Tom Jones. The only thing is his wife died.
ReplyDeleteI can't find anything about James Taylor except an article on how Carly hasn't spoken to him for years but still loves him and wants to heal him.
Gary Glitter
ReplyDeleteI like James Taylor for this. He has a divorce that fits the time frame, worked with Nicolette, and if I recall correctly...is a Grade A shit.
ReplyDelete@ cat,a lot,of people said Neil left a good woman when he divorced Peg, she is highly thought of by his friends and people in the industry.
ReplyDeletePosts keep disappearing. The A lister is David Crosby. He co-produced and sang backup vocals on Nicollete's kids album in the 1990s.
ReplyDeleteThere are two A+listers,so David Crosby for the guy who also liked them young, but not the main answer because he is still married to the same wife as this time.
ReplyDelete@John Doe,several of my posts today and yesterday disappeared, yet my Google mail says they posted!
ReplyDeleteI always thought it was weird that Sweet Caroline was written about Caroline Kennedy..just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteStephen Stills matches up with the divorce timeline, but doesn't look like he was a part of the album.
ReplyDeleteRemember it doesn't say WHEN they divorced. It could be any of Crosby, Sills, Nash, and Young.
ReplyDeleteGlad it's not Neil.
It's all speculation, slanderous, libelous speculation and I won't engage in that; you could be sued.
ReplyDeleteHaving said that, I detest Neil Young and James Taylor. That smarmy smug lefty PC self righteousness is really annoying. Plus Neil is a Toronto boy...
RELEASE THE HOUNDS!
A isn't anybody from CSNY.
ReplyDeleteThe four of them were still touring together as late as 2008. They had their ups and downs but they were in relative good terms before Crosby made comments on Darryl Hannah and clashed with Graham Nash, the one who had managed to be friends with everybody else.
Crosby wasn't into underage groupies. He was into threesomes (he wrote a song about it), dated a woman called Christine Hinton (the "Devil in Disguise" for The Flying Burrito Brothers) and Joni Mitchell. He also has a few illegitimate children, none of them with a teenager at the time the child was conceived.
Neil Young dated Nicolette Larson in the mid-seventies. After him, she dated producer Jack Nitzsche, who had a lot of drugs issues and was violent towards her. Also, Neil Young just wasn't married to Pegi Young. He produced her solo album and toured with her as late as 2008.
Bob Dylan did get a divorce in the early nineties, but, at this point, he had just married his then wife, a backup singer, because she was pregnant. Both the marriage, the divorce and the child remained a secret for at least a decade.
The key could be B: a singer who was a very close relative (sister or daughter?) of one A+ list molester, who was also close enough to the first A+ list molester to know about him too. That could indicate they were in the same band. Or maybe she had a relationship with the one she wasn't related to. She was also a friend of the B lister who made the children's record. Her own "list" level isn't given, so she could be a backup singer or something like that, not someone easy to identify. But it means the second A+ lister had a close female relative who was some kind of singer in the 1990s.
ReplyDeleteNicolette Larson looking good for the dead singer/songwriter.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen anything indicating that James Taylor worked on "Sleep, Baby, Sleep", but given the confrontation during the production, Larson might have omitted his material from the final product. The blind doesn't rule that out. Taylor got divorced from Kathryn Walker in 1995. Hard to believe that A's ex-wife did not divorce him promptly. Are there details about the divorce? If not, that's very strong. Carefully constructed facade fits. Rose to fame in 1970.
B could be Astrid Young, C could be Neil Young.
"pkelly491 said...

My final guess:
A+ = James Taylor
Singer/Songwriter = Nicolette Larson
B = Astrid Young
C = Neil Young
ex-wife of A+ lister: Kathryn Walker"
I think you nailed it. (And I loved her voice, particularly with Neil Young.)
Is anyone any good with morals these days?
ReplyDelete@Mark is probably right.
ReplyDeleteThe only other A+ list singer I could fit in there would be Graham Nash since he was in the Hollies, but he would be foreign born and not A+.
I really, really, REALLY do NOT want this to be Neil Young. I love his music & he’s always seemed to have so much integrity & done a lot of good with his work. That being said the 3 kids he has all have issues. Both sons have cerebral palsy & his daughter has epilepsy. I’m no doctor, but kinda seems other offspring would have health issues too??
ReplyDeleteDennis Wilson doesn’t fit as the blind implies the other A+ lister is still alive. And had multiple wives over a decade or so.
ReplyDeleteNo one guessed C as John Phillips!!?!!?
ReplyDeleteMakes B as Chynna (Mackenzie would be actress/singer).
According to Fire and Rain, a biography of James Taylor written by Ian Halperin, Taylor was adamant that a clause must be added to the divorce settlement that forbids Kathryn from discussing the details of their marriage (p. 249). He was described as willing to pay Kathryn whatever she wanted as long as she never discussed the marriage (p. 249).
ReplyDeleteI certainly have no idea if James Taylor is the A + singer but a few details do fit:
time frame- he was an adult in the 1960s when early videos were taken- making him old enough to fit
he is certainly permanent A+ list
time frame of divorce fits
description of divorce details fit
Great info, @Nor Cal. Looks like we're done.
ReplyDelete@Nor Cal, and James Taylor worked with Nicolette Larson on Neil Young's Harvest Moon (1992). Puts him within reach for her self-produced "Sleep, Baby, Sleep."
ReplyDeleteWilling to pay her anything she wants? Yes,I guess we have a winner,Crosby or Young could be the other A+ lister. James Taylor has a lot to hide I guess.
ReplyDeleteGreat sleuthing here today! And @Gnu who opened the Nicolette Larson door, well done!
ReplyDelete@Nor Cal .... further details from Fire & Rain: "Some people suggested that Kathryn Walker didn't want to go public with her story because she feared the backlash of the power of Taylor and his record label, Sony Music. If she were to drag Taylor through the mud, she would have automatically cut off many important connections. Taylor is a powerful player in show business. He knows everbody, and his record label, Sony, is one of the most influential entertainment companies."
ReplyDeleteKathryn Walker wrote a book called "A Stopover in Venice" awhile back.
ReplyDeleteIt would appear to be a bit Roman a cleffy if you all get my drift.
In it,Nell, married to a musician, takes a powder on the musician hubby while on a trip to Europe. She makes her way to Venice. There, she recuses a dog being tormented by some boys. She takes the dog back to her hotel.
The following day a man appears claiming that the dog belongs to his employer. They meet and the adventure begins complete with mystery involving a painting among other things.
A person can only go so long with a secret wadded up inside of them. At some point the contents shift and the hatch pops open. I wonder if this was her way of blowing off steam? I gotta check this out.
According to the Allmusic website, the only noteworthy musicians credited to Sleep, Baby, Sleep are
ReplyDeleteAndrew Gold (deceased),
David Crosby (never been divorced),
Neil Young (only as songwriter, she covered his song),
and Graham Nash (divorced last year.)
Based on this, the only person it could be is Nash. They did a duet, although I can't find an actual video of it. Although she could have scrapped it after the shoot.
HOWEVER. It is unclear if the album had been released at the time of the video shoot. If not, it's possible that she scrapped the song altogether, which means he wouldn't be listed on the credits.
If that's the case, it totally could be James Taylor. I mean, this screams James Taylor.
For B & C, could be anyone.
Someone suggested above the A+ singer may have been removed from the project. Look at the credits--Crosby, Nash, and Young. Why would the three of them get together on a project and not include...Stephen Stills? Plus the divorce timeline works. But is Stills permanent A+ list?
ReplyDeleteGnuGuy, PKelly491 and The_Myth
ReplyDeleteA+ I like (loathe) James Taylor for it,
A- B list Singer-Songwriter - Nicolette Larson
C Permanent A+ lister - I want it to be John Phillips or less Brian Wilson but probably is Neil Young
Singer B - close relative I think Astrid Young is closer in age to be friends with NL than Chynna Phillips or Carnie Wilson, so, C is most likely Neil.
Yuck, I need a soul shower
I have one point to make about this blind. Words and wording are important. You cannot have “sexual relationships” with 9 year olds. Relationship implies consent and 9 year olds cannot consent. It is rape.
ReplyDelete@DonaldCox Dennis was a huge creep
ReplyDelete@Unknown: I would say Stills is perm A list
ReplyDeletePhil Collins got divorced in the right time period and his ex-wife Jill, the mother of Lily Collins, lives in a huge historic mansion on over four acres in Beverly Hills proper which would be worth tens of millions, so I think she must have done well. But unlike with Neil Diamond, it wasn't a big story
ReplyDeleteGlad the guy won't get busted until he's dead, so he can live a full life.. And we continue to find that women can only ever be complicit. Good to know.
ReplyDelete@os75 - Phil Collins is British though. Enty would have stated 'foreign born' in the blind. Same as Tom Jones & Gary Glitter & Pete Townsend (spelling?) who were also mentioned by some posters.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete*Townshend.
ReplyDeleteRolf Harris. A list in Britain and Aus, stripped of his CBE.
ReplyDeleteThis is neil diamond. His wife got a monster settlement. Remember she gave a million to each victim.
ReplyDelete+1 Neil Diamond, nobody else suggested had the monster settlement.
ReplyDelete"Townshend isn't a singer"
ReplyDeleteWho's that singing on ROUGH BOYS and FACE TO FACE then? Demis Roussos?
I don't believe Townshend is the subject of this blind though. He was investigated, exonerated, and had much more public issues with drug addiction. You can see him lately in news footage from the UK of the Grenville Fire aftermath, where he mentions how an entirely family near his flat that he had helped purchase a piano for - "They carted it up all those stairs, got it to the top of the building" - had died in the flames.
The timeline is wrong of course but sounds like R Kelly and Aliyah.
ReplyDeleteI think it's Neil Diamond because one of his exes got one of the biggest divorce settlements in history. $150 million back in the 90s.
ReplyDeletePhil Collins is a good guess too though.

ReplyDeleteNames that fit the timeline in article linked.
–Gordon Lightfoot
–James Taylor
–Tom Jones
–Rod Stewart
I've been heavily leaning toward James Taylor, but usually there's a hint or rumor floating around out there. because of the agreement with his divorce it still could be him and he's just been damn lucky nobody has said a word, but I'm getting to think it could be Neil Diamond. He had a monster divorce settlement and a couple of his songs are very creepy. I think we caught him without his clothes on.
ReplyDeletedebbieschlussel.com/3139/neil-diamond-pedophile/
And there's no way he was Monster icon because he was born in Brooklyn New York.
Hmmm..and Carly Simon engaged to Nicolette's husband after her death...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMqlMUE-YZ0

ReplyDeleteI think Neil Diamond is really more A++
ReplyDeleteAnd the divorce settlement amount was
Publicized
This was more hush hush
But I don’t see any of these guesses as
Permanent A+ list
Former A+ List is more like it
@carolinelily
ReplyDeletedoubt drew can ever come forward. her lost years are pretty much the rosetta stone to this whole mess but she was durg using child who was repeatedly drugged and passed around herself.
nothing she actually knows would be considered legally reliable and since her abuse is connected to people who will kill her and her family. [literally the only related fact that gives corey any shred of credibility at all is that he "lucked out" and was male and got abused by the equivalent of the Pope Julius III of hollywood]
Neil young and Lisa Loeb
ReplyDeleteI was also thinking Lisa Loeb. Neil Young is foreign born though, from Canada I believe.
DeleteOn the Brother Love album, Neil Diamond was bearded on the cover. "The growing of the beard, I suppose, from outward appearances, looked like I was getting hip or something. In reality, I was hiding from some private detectives my first wife had hired." (Rolling Stone - 09/23/1976)
ReplyDeleteIf A+ singer is Neil, and we're told the second wife hired detectives, we have to wonder why his first wife Jaye Posner did as well.
Back in 1996, his daughter Elyn Diamond Resnick directed a foundation to aid abused children. She is currently a trustee of her father's New Roads Foundation.
How appropriate: "Children Who Never Forget"

How many times have we seen predators involved with children charities? It's a nice way to meet them. I think this is the direction we should go in now.
DeleteSo this is how I read the players of this blind:
ReplyDelete#1 - A+ male singer since possibly the 60's and def 80's - 90's, up through today. Still alive. Time frame of this blind is 1990-1995 and he was married then. "Rumors of him impregnating teens through his decades long career" makes me think this was all before the incident/fight of the blind. Would send a swarm of lawyers after teens that would try to cause a fuss in the media. Would settle with impregnated teens for $25k-$50k. Got divorced but not known when. "He didn't say a peep of the divorce terms or amount" I took to mean because of what the wife discovered since that fight in the studio and in his safe, he had no grounds to contest her divorce demands. I don't think the divorce terms were necessarily secret or kept out of the public, but rather, whatever they were and how outlandish they may have seemed, where someone else would have negotiated, the A+ male singer just signed off on it without making a stink since the wife had him by the balls at that point (and to the present!).
#2 - B list female singer/songwriter who looked up to the A+ male singer. Could have possibly worked with him previously. She had already reached her A- peak previous to the time frame of this blind. She had a top 10 single on the Top 200 and a #1 on one of the "specialized" Billboards. She was working on a children's record meant for her young child. It seems she may have only had 1 child. She was crushed when she was told about what was going on with the A+ male singer. I believe she may have not even completed/released that children's record. "She basically killed herself" I took to mean either literally like from depression or an illness/condition she neglected or a possible overdose. It is not clear how soon after the incident of this blind, she may have died. OR, killed herself emotionally as in the guilt and disgust of knowing the A+ male secrets. Tormenting herself with the fact that her kid was around him, probably alone at times. She couldn't bear the thought that her precious child may have been abused by him. It may not mean that she is actually dead but that she was very distraught and beat herself up over it.
#3 - Then wife of A+ male singer. Had heard rumors of impregnated teens by her husband. Had hours of VHS and reel tapes of husband having sex with teens and settlement paperwork of paid off impregnated teens. Told B list female singer/songwriter about what she had discovered about A+ male singer. The wife tried to find impregnated teens and gave them $1mil each. She gave her lawyer all the tapes and documents which will apparently not be revealed/released (or destroyed) until after the death of the A+ male singer.
#4 - (B) Singer friend of the B list singer who was told about the revelations of the A+ male singer. Apparently B knew of the A+ male singers sexcapades. B said that a very close relative of hers was the same way back in the day.
#5 - (C) Relative of B and a permanent A+ rock star who would have sex with very young groupies.
Does anyone's guess fit all these details?
I think if the B list singer/songwriter is identified everything else would fit. What is the top 10 single in the Top 200 she had and the song on the specialized Billboard?
@Blogger Land Manatee ... I did look extensively for a top 10 single in the Top 200 + specialized category who has died already. Looked thru 70s/80s/80s Billboard listings. Surprisingly hard to find because her hit didn't make #1. Nicolette Larson so far is the best contender. Neil Y. and James T. collaborated with female artists more than Neil D.
ReplyDeleteNeil Diamond and her collaborate it in the late 70s for the first time.
DeleteI have no idea. At first James Taylor and Carly Simon seemed impossible because she’s always wanted to talk with him and he will not talk to her at all. However upon thinking about it, she’s odd enough to still want to talk to him even if she knew, and that might explain why he wants nothing to do with her (because she knows). She also seems like the type who might try to pay the victims.
ReplyDeleteIf this would be ND I would be devastated😢Great memories of my parents playing his music growing up.
ReplyDeletePete Townsend is a singer as well as a songwriter and guitarist. Listen to the words of his song Behind Blue Eyes and tell me it isn't the confession of a pedophile.
ReplyDeleteJames Taylor got divorced in 1995, that would fit the timing
ReplyDeletemichael jackson (lisa marie presley) and nicolette larson.
ReplyDeleteCadmium 77 sez -
ReplyDelete"I detest Neil Young and James Taylor. That smarmy smug lefty PC self righteousness is really annoying."
Um, so I guess Neil Young's support of Reagan still makes him a "leftie" as you say?
Lotta Love by Nicolette Larson reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and #1 on the Easy Listening chart in 1978
ReplyDeletehttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lotta_Love
@Appalachian Mothersauce ... Nicolette collaborates with Neil Young several times over the years, not Diamond. As I wrote earlier, Larson's "Lotta Love", a Neil Young composition, reached the American Top 10 in 1979. "I got that song off a tape I found lying on the floor of Neil's car," she said in interviews. "I popped it in the tape player and commented on what a great song it was. Neil said: `You want it? It's yours.'
ReplyDeleteAccording to wiki, Nicolette was good friends with Neil Young's half-sister, Astrid. Maybe she is the relative of the similar artist (Neil Young), who used to be the same way, back in the day. She also happens to be a singer, as the blind states. So, that might make the C for Crazy Horse?
ReplyDeleteNeil Diamond
ReplyDeleteHaving researched it some more, I strongly agree with pkelly. Larson is the singer-songwriter and James Taylor is the A+ singer. Taylor got divorced just a year after sleep, baby, sleep came out. Larson and Taylor sang backup together on a song on Neil young's harvest moon album. They sang harmony with Astrid Young, who Neil had invited to work with him for the first time. For the next few years, Astrid and Larson regularly sang backup for Neil and became very good friends, to the point that Astrid is the person Wikipedia quotes about the true causes of Larson's death in 1997 (just 3 years after her sleep baby sleep album).
ReplyDeleteI think Taylor's public persona is a great match for the blind's description of the singer's "carefully crafted facade." For what it's worth, I think it's likely that the Neil Young is genuinely a really good guy now, much different than the wildly drug-abusing groupie-obsessed musician he was in the 60s and 70s. It sounds as though he began to turn the corner in the mid-80s, focused by the health problems of his son Ben. What Astrid told Larson about Neil may have been in reference to an earlier, long-passed period, perhaps even prior to when he met his third wife / longest companion Pegi in the late 70s.
"Listen to the words of his song Behind Blue Eyes and tell me it isn't the confession of a pedophile."
ReplyDeleteTownshend wrote that song as one of multiple first-person narratives for his abandoned LIFEHOUSE concept album, which he conceived as a science-fiction fable about workers connecting to a drab VR utopia, and escapees rebelling and awakening the human race with a cathartic global rock concert. (The escapees journey fuels the song 'Going Mobile', and the climactic concert and scales-falling-from-the-audience's-eyes moment was to be accompanied by 'Wont Get Fooled Again'). When the project fell apart, alongside his friendship with longtime Who producer Kit Lambert, Townshend briefly contemplated suicide, then put out half the songs for their WHO'S NEXT album, and threw himself into another narrative concept album, QUADROPHENIA, about disenchanted British mod rockers.
The Who song with an overt abuse metaphor doesn't require much deciphering - on the 1969 TOMMY album, the song 'Fiddle About' describes an evening when the Tommy character is molested by his own uncle. Townshend asked bassist John Entwistle to write and perform that one, as the story reminded him too harshly of an abuse incident from his own childhood - something the TOMMY album as a whole possibly springs from, suggesting abused people (Townshend may have viewed himself as one) can awaken, overcome the damage they endured, and come out of their shells. When the cops eventually investigated Pete Townshend in 2002 during Operation Ore in the UK, they found that Townshend had logged on to an ordinary porn site that featured a (false) headline offering child abuse material. Townshend was in the thick of writing an abuse-related essay for his autobiography at the time, did not have a history of accessing the material, had not kept illegal materials on his PC, and had no other detectable links to or history with abuse networks. He was given a warning by the cops. The general consensus is that the abuse in Townshend's personal life involves him (when young) as a victim, not him (as an adult) as abuser. The figure involved was a friend of his aunt's, apparently.
@pkelly Awesome sleuthing! I missed your Astrid connection earlier. :)
ReplyDeleteOk all you Neil Young guessers - he was born in Toronto. Wouldn’t the description say foreign born?
ReplyDelete(First night posting, I’ve been lurking for a few months)
Holy moly, lay offa Neil Young, he would never ever, ever, ever do something like this and for the record HE filed for divorce not the other way around. Astrid also has more integrity than to out her brother and if Pegi turned safe cracker half the f'en mountain would know about it by now. Seriously this is not Neil Young. I'm sure about it!!!11
ReplyDeleteGo back to Neil Diamond, my Mom always got the two of them confused too.
ReplyDeleteNeil Diamond is my guess for the A+ lister. He had hits in the mid-1960s, which by the way excludes several musicians mentioned by other posters. He did a great job of owning copyright for his self-written hits, which made him very wealthy. He’s a horndog from way back. Nicolette Larson fits the mom/singer profile.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'm missing something, but other than Neil Diamond's 1995 divorce, the terms of which seem to have been publicized, very much in contradiction to what the blind says, is there any reason to connect him to Nicolette Larson? She fits the blind perfectly. I think it's reasonable to assume that the A+ list singer was omitted from the final version of the children's record, given that the confrontation between him and one of the girls he impregnated took place during the production of the children's record. We have Astrid Young being close to Larson, which makes Neil Young a good candidate for "C". Let's see some substantiation of the Neil Diamond guess, if any is available. I would be surprised.
ReplyDeleteYou could connect Neil Diamond directly to Nicolette via her husband, producer, session musician Russ Kunkle. Also could directly connect Taylor this way and our old favorite Glenn Frey.
ReplyDeleteWell shit.
ReplyDeleteI've been vacilating between JT and ND. Because I couldn't find a connection to Larson, I settled on JT.
Now you have a connection.
Its the lyrics. They keep gnawing at me.
Gary Glitter?
ReplyDeleteWhat about this? In an interview about the album, Van Halen?
ReplyDeleteAlso on your first album is a tune called "Can't Get Away From You", and on that song's credits there's a question mark where the lead guitarist's name should be. Who was that mystery player?
Eddie Van Halen. He didn't want his name used because they were Van Halen and that's all there was to it. That was when they were just starting, and they were very much into being just Van Halen and nothing else.
+1 Unknown. This blind SCREAMS Neil Diamond.
ReplyDelete@designace001, I wanted it to be Neil Diamond -- that sounds worse than it really is because these are all just fictional characters, after all -- but couldn't find the connection to Nicolette Larson. Nice job!

ReplyDeleteWhat did Valerie BertandErnie ever sing?
ReplyDeleteIf the dead creator of the Xmas album is Nicolette Larson, then Neil Young must be the A+. Her career was deeply interwoven with his, and her fame came from his song---the emotional impact myst have been devastating. James Taylor is a certified mess, but I see no indications that they were particularly close. Same for Neil Diamond---creepy, but why would she care enough to kill herself?
ReplyDelete@Sadie, I'm curious where you read pedophilia in Behind Blue Eyes. I've always read it as a person who is thought to be good and kind because he's attractive and has a sunny persona, but he knows he's not that good on the inside. He can't show his real self, so he increasingly feels like he's living a lie. I get anger and potential violence from it, but I don't see pedophilia.
ReplyDelete@designace001, I don't know whether it's N.Y. or not, but I don't think I'd call concealing a pedophile "integrity," even if it is your brother.
ReplyDeleteNothing to add, other than to say that I love the name "Entwistle". 😊
ReplyDeleteIt's not Pete Townshend. He was hugely investigated for this stuff--if this were true it would have come out then.
ReplyDeleteIts Neil Diamond
ReplyDeletehttps://www.henrymakow.com/ugly-truth-about-the-celebrities-we-adored.html
Nicolette Larson husband was Neil Diamond's drummer on many albums.
DeleteIs the 14 year old that the A+ singer got pregnant anyone who would be known? I can’t imagine being 14 and pregnant. That poor child. I wonder if she has ever told her child who their father is. I would have a hard time knowing my father got my mother pregnant at 14 and have any respect for him.
ReplyDeleteThe link between Nicolette and ND could be Peter Asher.......
