About halfway through the show last night, this A list singer with multiple responsibilities last evening had a four minute mini-rant where she kept repeating, "F**k this." She hated last night and if it had just been a concert would have walked during the show.

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Mariah last night and Britney. BTS did a great job introducing KPOP to a lot of people who never listened before. Anderson and Cohen was the absolute worst but Don Lemon did his best to keep things interesting and introduced his hot boyfriend. Yes, Mariah did good. Don't @ me.
I don't watch the NYE specials, but I'm glad Mariah did a good job.
ReplyDeleteWell now, there was her missing tea that she had to soldier on without, lol. I think she was kidding about how its a disaster b/c no tea. If she wasnt, wow.
DeleteEvery year I'm relegated to watching Bye Bye (insert year number here). It's on the French CBC (so SRC). Normally it's pretty f'n funny, but this year it was terrible. (Granted, we didn't get a lot of what they were making fun of.) Glad I didn't miss anything like last year's debacle with Mariah.

Presure of hosting was just too much for her apparently.
ReplyDeleteI think the tea comments were just a joke. I'm positive she was serious about wanting the hot tea, but the rest was just joking. She struggled with high notes, but with a feels like of -7 on a raised platform with the girls exposed to the elements, she was great. She posted a tweet this morning sipping a cup of tea.

I think Mariah did a great job too, but she really did struggle on the high notes, a lot of off key and strained notes, especially in the beginning. But agree Don, it was freezing and she was exposed so that to affect her. I do hope she is able to hit the high notes and sing somewhat like she used to because love her or hate, she had one of the most beautiful voices ever.
ReplyDeleteMariah's gotten older, she can't hit the high notes anymore. Listen to her early music on you tube, you will see what the big deal about her was, and how far she's fallen. She's is still around though, unlike most singers like her from the early 90's. Although she did marry the head of Sony, then when divorced him and her career was falling, she became a chicken head to the DJ's and rappers so they would "re-mix" her music.
