It is one thing to get a nasty little cease and desist letter from an attorney which you toss into the trash or hit the delete button on your e-mail. It is quite another when you are visited at home by several gentlemen who show you they are armed before having a discussion with you about things you post on the internet. Three times in the past month, the owners of websites have been visited by this group who make it very clear that no matter how true a certain story is about a former A+ list child actor (don't even guess anyone named Corey), that these stories can't be published. Yes, he saw deaths. Yes, he saw things that he speaks about because he is trying not to use drugs and instead communicate his feelings. Why do you think he lived overseas for so long? Why do you think he feared certain family members? Apparently his new girlfriend also wants him talking about his past. This will not end well for anyone. You don't think a junkie can have an overdose? Yeah, ask how that has worked out for celebrity drug addicts the past year. It is amazing how fast the website owners pull down anything about him. No one wants a visit from those guys with guns.

Ummm, I'm totally at a loss with this blind reveal. Website owners being visited by "several gentlemen who are armed" to tell them to take down anything published "Macaulay Culkin" related??? Either these gentlemen are illegally armed, or they are related to some sort of law enforcement agency. Which LE agency would be sending in their guns just to keep someone from posting something about Macaulay? Oh, and BTW, the photos lately of MC show him looking healthier than he has in years. Hopefully he can keep it up.

I read the blind as:

Macaulay isn't going to stop talking, neither does his girlfriend (I don't think he should either).
Enty hints Macaulay may die from an "overdose" that was caused by the people who don't want his story out.
I realize the blinds are cryptically written at times -- most of the time, yes. With a little know-how of Word Smithing however, it's pretty easy to break it down if you take the time to do so. But this blind is on a whole other level of crypticness. It's frustrating (IMO) because it's a waste of time for the reader. If other readers who have been around for a while are capable of deciphering this blind, why can't they help the other readers out by clearing up some of the ambiguity?

ReplyDeleteI think Don is right in how the blind is supposed to be read, but with how it is actually written at first it sounds like the guys with the guns have been sent by Culkin, and then it turns into Culkin himself being threatened. Also, are "family members" supposed to be his own, or some other family, i.e. the Jacksons?
Macaulay is a good guy who grew up with terrible parents and in a horribly destructive industry and, like most child actors, turned to drugs to deal. I've always appreciated him (loved him in Party Monster) and I'm glad he's sober (hopefully staying that way). And maybe can even help Paris Jackson get right.

Thanks to DON K. and NEMO for adding some clarification to the blind. It still doesn't iron it out well enough to want to waste anymore time on it, but it does help to have some of the more experienced readers on this site helping us other less-experienced readers.

DeleteI know about Macaulay's awful parents, but is he alleged to have been molested? Hasn't he said that Jackson did not abuse him? If so, I find it plausible even though I believe that Jackson thought of himself as a kid experimenting when he did molest. Like many peds he probably chose carefully. I would be surprised at Mac and Paris managing a friendship if he was abused by her father.

La-Juice - my understanding from lurking on 4chan around 2010 was that people would start threads about "cheese pizza" as a thinly veiled attempt to get users to share child porn. CP became a common term, I guess it's been stripped down to "pizza" now.
