Blind Items Revealed #1

September 18, 2017

Emmy Awards

This A list mostly movie actress who is an Academy Award winner was jeered multiple times last night about her political beliefs to the point she tried to stay firmly planted in her seat and during commercials had a production assistant stand next to her.

Susan Sarandon

  1. That moment when Ms. Sarandon realized that if the folks in her Hollywood community ran the world, they'd throw her in a work camp, just for having a different opinion from them. I'm not exaggerating...

  2. Sorry, but this is not right...she hasn't voted for Trump, she didn't feel like it, i understand her..she may have been wrong, but perhpas people should mind more about who actually VOTED for Trump

    1. You’re an idiot. Just because your moronic echo chamber believes you’re right, doesn’t mean shit. Enjoy the next seven years. Snowflake.

  3. I bet that a LOT of people react-ed more rudely to S Sarandon that to one of those predators that they KNEW were predators, or rapist or whatever

    Again, Hyocritical HOllywood

  4. I love Susan Sarandon. I know she was (and is) a HUGE Bernie fan. We all realize that any vote for Bernie basically split the democratic vote - but it's not like it mattered as the popular vote was won by the Dems, but not the electoral college...(same with Gore/Bush in 2000)

    ReplyDelete
  5. Bernie was straight up ROBBED. And news flash: President Trump was elected in spite of the Dems cheating so there you go. Thank God we got him and not Clinton.

  6. I'm so sick of this group think, hive mind mentality. It's no ones business. Vote policy, not popularity.

  7. Sarandon is even harder left than most of her peers. Think she had it rough? Imagine the opprobrium a right leaning person would receive.

And people pretend there’s no Hollywood blacklist of conservatives...

    ReplyDelete
  8. They could stop attacking people for their political opinions, and stop bringing politics into awards shows at all. Crazy idea, I know, but it just might work.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Since a lot of top actors are known conservative, i don't think they are blacklisted too much, after all

    ReplyDelete
  10. @MJ, you're right. If Roman Polanski walked into one of these awards shows today, he would still be cheered. Maybe not the full-house standing ovation he would have gotten a year ago, because some of them would have the self-awareness to realize how bad that would look. They'd have to save some of their cheers for backstage.

  11. Free speech and it's consequences. Both sides do it. Look what happened to the Dixie Chicks when they spoke up.

  12. MJ, you must have a pretty loose definition of “top actors” because by any normal definition, that’s just crazy talk.

  13. Speaking of free speech, I would like to share my favorite passage from one of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's speeches. I was a guest speaker on MLK Day in Savannah in 1981. I ended my talk with this passage. It says so much.

"There comes a time when people get tired of being pushed out of the glittering sunlight of life's July, and left standing amid the piercing chill of an Alpine November." Martin Luther King, Jr.

You were my mentor, my rock, my inspiration and friend. I miss you every single day!

  14. Deciding to not spend your money on someone's music, concerts, and merchandise (Dixie Chicks) is a far cry from jeering and harassing someone. I don't care who someone voted for, no one should be subjected to that. But Susan Sarandon has been pretty sanctimonious over the years, I hope she at least is learning that everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion without harassment - yes, even if you don't like that opinion, even Trump supporters.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Clint Eastwood is a known conservative and I don't see him blacklisted in any way.

Susan Sarandon is entitled to vote whatever way she wants, but if she wants to avoid being judged, maybe she should not share her hatred of Hillary to the public. We are allowed to judge. Freedom of speech is a thing, but it doesn't mean you don't have to accept the consequences of your opinions in the world of public opinion.

And yes, I agree that Bill C. may have done some less that savory things, but I don't get that Clintons are evil illuminati and pedophiles theory. Especially Hillary. She's hardworking and has worked for women and children for years. She got put through the meat grinder for trying to push health care reform as First Lady.

    1. Well said. And she went on every show to voice that opinion over and over and went out of her way to go to the Democratic convention and make sure to have herself be on camera showing how miserable she was making faces and doing interviews to say how horrible it was. She went out of her way to do that. So yes, when she did that, she needs to own it and the consequences. And then supporting Stein.

  17. Clint Eastwodd, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger...

  18. Love and respect her even more after this, she rocks!

  19. She was for Jill Stein.

  20. The group think is vicious, including those here who wouldn't mind if it happened to a Trump supporter. The Handmaid's Tale is about you!

BTW, Eastwood, Willis and Schwarzenegger are known and established properties, at least two of whom are semi-retired at this point. And Willis and Schwarzenegger had breathing room to be conservative because they came up during the Reagan years. Could never happen now. Would be snuffed out before they even got started.

  21. What in the hell did she expect?

    ReplyDelete
  22. "Some people feel that Donald Trump will bring the revolution immediately, if he gets in. Then things will really, you know, explode," Susan Sarandon said in March 2016.

He did get in and he did start a revolution, but not the one she wanted.

I remember a lot of people on the left talking circa 2014-5 about how they wanted a revolution. Then Trump won, and they're now the biggest fans of the (pre-2016) status quo.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Also, LOL at using Clint Eastwood as an example of a prominent Hollywood Republican. You forgot Ginger Rogers and Charlton Heston.

    ReplyDelete
  24. So much intolerance from the Hollywood hothouse flowers. "Live and let live unless you disagree with me."

    ReplyDelete
  25. Do people READ before commenting? Huntley Haverstock talkked about people being" blacklisted " and not for being Trump suppoeters, but for being CONSERVATIVEs...so, unless you could name me ONE person that has been blacklisted bc was " conservative"

Not mockede, not jeered at, you know...blacklisted

I write it capital, perhaps will be more clear : BLACKLISTED

    Names?

    ReplyDelete
  26. AH, Sarandon wasn't a Hilary supporter and as such, had to be scorned and berated and attacked. Gotta baa along with the sheep and the big Dem donors or face the music.

Hope it was a wake up call to her what a bunch of backstabbing, intellectually shallow, nasty little cunts they all are.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Free speech? Only if you agree with liberals.

    ReplyDelete
  28. The blacklist doesn’t work the way it used to. It’s covert. It’s unspoken. But if you come out too conservative in Hollywood you will find jobs not coming your way. Actors who have long established brands or are very popular with audiences have the strikes against them mitigated by those factors. But the fact that you can only come up with one who doesn’t act anymore, one who seldom acts anymore (and isn’t really conservative) and one who makes b movies for foreign markets, and all of whom are in or near their 70s and 80s, makes my point for me.

Even if you threw in Jon Voight and Vince Vaughn, you’re still not talking about “top actors.”

I work in Hollywood, MJ. I can tell you don’t. So you’ll have to take my word for it. The Hollywood “progressive” left is the nastiest, most intolerrant bloc around. Should go without saying they tend to be breathlessly ignorant too.

    ReplyDelete
  29. @ Huntley Haverstock

" I work in Hollywood, MJ." sure, Jan

" So you’ll have to take my word for it." No, i don't have to

Look, you want to talk about how " The Hollywood “progressive” left is the nastiest, most intolerrant bloc around" Ok, on SOME things we may agree...but balcklist is a big world, doesn't apply

I named Willis, etc, bc they were and are HUGE...but i could tell you Chris Pratt, too...He did not become huge during Reagan, or am i wrong?

Still watiting for names...come on, people are standing against powerful predators, rapists, perverted...Trump will help you, FIGHT against this nasty Hollywood

  30. I love the quote Boo, thank you for sharing!

  31. So let me get this straight, in Hollywood its ok to rape men, women and children, hide it, cover it etc etc but it is not ok to not support the wife of a know rapist and sexually predator (it wasn't just Monica and those ugly ladies folks, he likes little girls as well, he kicks it at Pedo Island with all the other rich pedos) who was also a shady politician/person herself?
Ok, makes no sense, typical Hollywood GARBAGE.

This is what Free Speech means:

It means I fight for your right to say something I don't agree with.

Its that simple. What happened to SS is rotten. But the same thing happens all across the country (and this blog comments) every time someone says something that another person doesn't agree with. It's so sad this is where we are today as a country. Say what ever you want. I would rather have people feel free to say what they think and how they feel and let them make an ass of themselves versus trying to tell everyone to be quiet and ultimately protect them because we never see whom they really are. (Annnnd it's so late in the day that probably no one will see this ;) )

  35. @M Styles Provide proof of ANYTHING you just wrote, or STFU. I am so sick of people making claims about Hillary that have zero credibility.

  36. @ Boo Hearne

MLK Day wasn't a holiday until 1986, so you couldn't have been "a guest speaker on MLK Day in 1981", because the holiday didn't exist yet. MLK was your mentor and friend? What am I saying.... of course he was!

    ReplyDelete
  37. @ hairydawg - FWIW, Savannah GA has held a MLK Observance Day since 1979.

  38. President Trump was elected in spite of the Dems cheating so there you go.

Trump won because many Bernie Sanders loyalists were outraged against the DNC's bias against Sanders and did not turn out to vote. That was enough to give Trump the edge. He won BECAUSE the Dems cheated.

Trump will help you, FIGHT against this nasty Hollywood

I'm sure Trump believes that Hollywood is filled with degenerates, and the pretty ones are bangable degenerates. He does, however, respect a degenerate with a particularly large bank balance; that's what really makes a tent in his tailored trousers, so I don't think you will be able to count on him to take down the Spielbergs and the Geffens. They are rich so they are exempt from penalty and prosecution.

    ReplyDelete
  39. " so I don't think you will be able to count on him to take down the Spielbergs and the Geffens"

Well...that was a bit sacastic, by me, bc people have said that Willis, Stallone etc, could become big bc there was Reagan or so

( anyway, i was talking about Trump " helping" to fight against the " blacklisting")

  40. Thank you, Mango. You cannot post anything truthful on this site without some people, not all, grabbing the knife and gutting you with it. Savannah is a unique Southern city in many ways. Progressive long before other Southern cities were. Thanks again. It is my favorite quote. So beautiful and full of caring.

  41. It always fascinates me when a tabloid knows who the owner of a yacht is and has photos of him on the yacht but will still try and convince you that the former lead singer of a manufactured group turned reality judge is vacationing alone. Yeah, and in two or three days there will be another model/actress/celebrity vacationing alone on the same yacht with the same owner. Remarkable isn’t it?
