Blind Items Revealed #1

December 28, 2017

Another royal one for you. That new bride is going to be offered something for her wedding to wear that is an original so to speak. It wasn't offered to the most recent big bride in that huge wedding. This would be huge.

Meghan Markle/Spencer tiara that Diana wore

  1. This is not a big deal. Harry is also Diana's son after all

  2. Kate is going to be Queen one day, maybe that's the tradeoff Meghan gets to wear the iconic tiara. Also, maybe Kate didn't want to wear the tiara at her wedding. It would make people think more of Diana than her.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Meaning that Pippa wasn't offered it? Yeah, I don't think that's all controversial, seeing as she has only a tertiary relationship to Diana.

    1. Why would Pippa be offered the Spencer tiara? LOL
I think Enty means that Catherine wasn't offered it.

  4. I was under the impression that only the wife or daughters of an Earl were allowed to wear the family tiara.

I do hope an exception is made, and this blind is correct though.
The tiara is beautiful and would be a wonderful way to include Diana's memory.

  5. I originally thought this, then I thought "original" = new tiara for Meghan. THAT would have been some serious snark.

    This? Not so much.

  6. I would say something snarky but my New Years resolution is to keep my sparkles snark to myself 😂

  7. No point in having an overly modest ceremony. If they're going to do it, they might as well do it right.

  9. They're not opening the vault for Media Meg.
So Harry went to his uncle who's like a second dad for a loaner. No photocalls inside the royal place, no balcony kiss, no royal jewels. They're giving her crumbs elsewhere to not be labeled that word. The firm is speaking without using words.

    1. This! And this is the word in the street here in London.

    2. Seconded. Kate wasn’t offered it because she wore one that belongs to the fucking QUEEN. Slightly bigger deal than the Spencer tiara.

  10. @To Whom It May Concern - your comment is quite interesting but i'm having trouble deciphering it. Harry went to Andrew or Edward because The Firm scaled way back on the wedding traditions that most recently Kate was able to enjoy, and one of them said Megan could wear Diana's tiara? And are they just throwing her a bone so they don't seem racist after scaling back on everything else?

Long before consideration of her ethnicity, please note that Megan is a blue collar/low class American, a divorcée, a Hollywood actress... plenty enough proper negatives for the Firm to sort.

The question on everyone’s mind is: is there a royal cock ring?

    ReplyDelete
  14. There isn't a competition between Harry and William. Therefore there won't be one between Kate or Meghan. Kate got Diana's ring as William is the eldest. And Kate wore the tiara that was first commissioned for the Queen Mum after King George became King. It was the current Queen's 18th birthday present and was therefore, especially meaningful. People are always looking for a scandal and if they can't find one, they'll make one.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Actually, Harry inherited Diana's sapphire ring and was incredibly selfless to let William take it to give to Katherine. So Meghan deserves the tiara, at the very least.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Actually, I’d classify MeAgain Sparkles as nouveau riche, which Kate also is (but at least Kate’s Dad was from a line of landed gentry, instead of from centuries of blue collar, like both of MeAgain’s parents). Divorcee, American, and an actress are all a bad combo for the Firm (Wallis, Koo, Camilla, etc. have all paved the way for MeAgain’s primary attributes to spell trouble for the Firm).

If MeAgain Sparkles wasn’t given the Spencer Tiara, she’d probably insist on a new tiara fashioned from more of Diana’s jewels. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if she wasn’t the one both behind this rumor and behind pushing for the tiara (it’s clear that she’s trying to be the new Di incarnate, which is how she’s caught the ginger and how she thinks she’ll win over the British people). Trying to emulate a dead person should be left to reenactors, imo.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Harry and Meghan will have a lower key wedding not because Meghan is biracial or American, but because it's her second wedding. As is polite and proper. Catherine and William had a big shindig because they'll be king and queen someday.

From what I can tell, the royal family is thrilled with Meghan. She makes the royal family seem less hidebound and starchy. Now they look more daring and modern.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yes, this is a tradeoff. Kate gets to wear Diana's engagement ring. Her wedding tiara was lent to her by the Queen. She has access to the Royal Family jewels including the Lover's Knot tiara that Diana frequently wore. Meghan gets to wear the Spencer tiara that belongs to the Spencer family. My only surprise here is that the Earl would lend it out. He seems like a jerk.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I agree w/you Mary. Kate got her ring, so the younger son was bequeathed her tiara.

Wasn’t here during the Christmas season, so it looks like I am missing some snark on Meghan.

I was shocked when I heard they were dating. I had no clue she was bi-racial, I just never saw him date anyone but a blonde. And the engagement rumors came fast, within a month or two of when their dating was announced. I was skeptical @ first, but their body language in candids shows how in tune they are w/one another. I think she is perfect for Harry.

Some stories state the family is head over heels for her (how she was able to attend Christmas w/the family, her very sexy engagement dress that I was in shock she got away with, etc.) and the gossip I hear is that she loves the media attention and is NOT a good fit for Harry. BTW, I choose to ignore her siblings. I have 2 sisters that are the total opposite of me...

Can someone please catch me up...lol

  20. THE SPENCER TIARA BELONGS TO EARL SPENCER. NOT DIANA. Jesus, if you people don't know anything about how this works, shut up. Meghan will not "inherit" Diana's tiara because it wasn't hers, ever.

  21. I was dubious about MM's intentions in the beginning, but she is a real life Cinderalla story in a sick and twisted world, and I say let's enjoy it the way we did Charles and Diana's wedding, ffs.

Her ex-husband was no great beauty and he had similar coloring to Harry's. Harry is stunning and charming, not to mention A PRINCE, so it's no stretch to believe that she's genuinely besotted.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I saw an item on BG before their engagement announcement which said that Kate was horrified at the idea of Meghan and Harry marrying, and Camilla too, and that Kate asked William to have a word with Harry.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I am almost SURE that the ring was left to Harry and he gave it to his brother .

    ReplyDelete
  24. US posters appear to be forgetting that meghan is very popular with people who don't usually fall for royal grandeur. She is important because she will help the survival of the 'brand'.

    ReplyDelete
  25. AS a matter of fact it came in the paper in 2013 that Spencer would give the sons Dianas jewls and such

    ReplyDelete
  26. I don't generally trust BG, but there's always the possibility that Harry threatened to go public if he was not allowed to marry Meghan, or to remove himself from the line of succession in order to marry her. That would have been a bad look for the Firm.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I still don't think the wedding is going to happen.

    ReplyDelete
  28. @longtimereader, where do you get the information that "Meghan is very popular with people who don't usually fall for royal grandeur."

From the tabloid press, from surveys, from personal experience?

The tabloid press seems to be writing puff pieces about Meghan to ensure their continuing access to the Royals, so I wouldn't call them a solid source.

    ReplyDelete
  29. For clarification, when I said MeAgain Sparkles was getting the tiara, I only meant that she would be getting it for the purpose of wearing it for the wedding (otherwise, she probably would have insisted on a new tiara for the wedding). The only equal swap for the engagement ring would be if MeAgain Sparkles was allowed to have Di’s watch (if she isn’t given that anytime soon, it may be a sign that William isn’t 100% certain that the couple are truly “till death do you part”). MeAgain is more besotted with the idea of everlasting popularity than with the Ginger, hence all of her efforts to be just like Di. However, her true colors keep popping out (being ultra political, not adhering to basic protocol like being one step behind her fiancé at all times, wearing an obscenely expensive dress for her engagement photos).

I very much doubt that MeAgain Sparkles will allow her wedding to be scaled back in terms of everything that she can push for (tiara, big dress, tons of money splashed out, big name celebrity guests who had no idea who she was until her engagement [despite her claiming to be a successful big name Hollywood actress in her own right]). She’s already secured a big church wedding, rather than a registry wedding followed by a church blessing (which is what Charles and Camilla did, since they were both previously married).

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yep! You can read her will too, it's right here.

    http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/9803/04/diana.will/

She left all her stuff to William and Harry. She did not specify "my engagement ring goes to William" or anything like that.

Spencer couldn't give the princes Diana's jewels because they didn't belong to him. They belonged to her and the princes inherited them.

    1. Thanks for the info Krab, and the much nicer response!!! My bad when it comes to tiara’s...I am half asleep and feel like a brick hit me in the head...Of course they stay in the family and are loaned out. Diana was given a crown or a tiara by the Queen as a wedding gift I believe?!? I just remember talk about when/if it had to be returned upon the divorce. I think it is time for my lunch/piwer nap now, before I embarrass myself further...lol

  31. Kate got to wear something better than Diana's brother's tiara: she wore Queen Elizabeth's tiara. And, as the wife of the future King of England, some day she gets to wear ALL the tiaras.

This is Meghan's one and only chance to wear a borrowed tiara.

    ReplyDelete
  32. time bob and Krab - Kate will not be Queen, she will always be the Duchess of Cambridge, or Queen consort. Just because Wills will be King, won't make her a Queen, doesn't work like that I'm afraid. Prince Philip isn't King either, yet he's the husband of the Queen.
And MM will never be Princess.

    Whom +1

JCG - I'm with you. MM is super unpopular, everyone is already sick of her and her fake ness, and she's been around 5 minutes. As if she'd even look at Harry twice if he weren't a Prince. Now her PR team is busy literally erasing her entire past existence from social media....wonder why.

She just comes across as so disingenuous and tacky, blowing kisses to people, wtf? It's not pageant.
I find her super unlikeable, she never looks at him the way he looks at her, she's always gunning for the cameras. Something Amal Clooney about her. Fake and smug.
I'll be surprised if they go through with it, but I'll be really surprised if it lasts longer than 5 years.
Hell get bored of her very quickly, she's not the right type for this lifestyle and eventually he will realise.

    ReplyDelete
  33. @Patience Fullerton - To Whom It May Concern said the firm didn't want to be "labeled that word", so I took that to mean a single very negative connotation, hence racist. Commenting on her being middle class or divorced would be elitist and snobby, but I don't really think those would be referred to as horrific labels The Firm wants to avoid like the plage. Racist is though. Also, FWIW - I wouldn't call Megan blue collar or lower class at all. She went to a prestigious college and her mother has a masters degree in social work. Her father was director of lighting on a successful television show, so I would put her in middle class.

  35. Bored: Catherine will indeed be Queen. Try googling it. You're thinking of Camilla.

    ReplyDelete
  36. The palace is being lose on the rules with Meg.

Kate wasn't invited to family events or to meet the queen even though her & Wills had been a couple living together since college, around 10 years.

Meg is a social climber, but so is Kate and especially Kate's family. I think Meg just doesn't realize how reserved British are, especially royals, so she's not as polished as Kate was.

    ReplyDelete
  37. @bored, I disagree with your assertion that Meghan wouldn't look at Harry if he wasn't a Prince. I'm not into gingers, but Harry is very attractive and he's charismatic. Even as a commoner, Harry would get a look from most women.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Charles will never be king, therefore Camilla will never be queen.

    ReplyDelete
  39. @Krab-thank you for clarifying that Earl Spencer is the uncle with Di's tiara. I honestly had no idea. To Whom It May Concern's comment makes total sense now:
They're (The Firm) is not opening the vault for Media Meg. In other words, none of Queen Liz's tiaras for her. Upset about this, Harry went to Earl Spencer, who's like a second dad to him, to ask for Di's tiara. The Firm is speaking without using words by not having photocalls inside the royal palace (Kate and Will got to, but Harry and MM's was in at KP), no balcony kiss, no royal jewels. In order to not come across as racists, The Firm is putting the Di tiara story out there. It all makes sense now!

    ReplyDelete
  40. @Bay Area Girl - I 100% agree on Harry being cute. I'm not really into gingers either, but there is something devilishly handsome about him. I am around Will's age and I remember back in the day when he was considered the hot one and Harry was the unfortunate looking one. My, times have changed!
@Thursday November - I'm confused...why won't Charles be king? I know there were rumors before that Lizzy was going to bypass him, but I thought that people in the know are pretty certain now that she's going to pick Charles as her successor.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. My mother would disagree! She always thought Harry was the hot one and scoffed at William (I'm not going to repeat the things we say about him at home). LOL.

      Delete
  41. Earl Spencer is not like a second dad to Harry: they had a huge rift for many years. If Spencer offered to lend the tiara to Meghan I would be very surprised. If it actually happens it would be Spencer's way of trying to hone in on the wedding, because he basically is that much of a jerk. I doubt QEII would let that happen anyway. She'd offer one of hers. But as I said, I don't think the wedding will be a tiara-affair. Mostly likely a hat as Camilla wore.

And yes of course Catherine will be queen. She won't be the sovereign but she'll be the queen, married to the king. Of course that's how it works.

    ReplyDelete
  42. "The Firm is speaking without using words by not having photocalls inside the royal palace"

Uh, NO. Harry and Meghan chose to have the photos taken at the Diana memorial garden at Kensington Palace, which, by the way, is a royal palace. Their official engagement photos were at Frogmore, which again, is owned by the Crown. (It's a beautiful place, where Victoria is buried. I've been there.)

    ReplyDelete
  43. @Krab - all good points. Let me ask you this - some have asserted that Harry is doing all this as a giant FU to the firm for...umm...how do I put this without sounding accusatory...for being not so nice towards his mother at the end of her life. I'll leave it at that. Do you think that has any truth to it? This is Harry sticking his middle finger up at everyone as some kind of Di-related revenge? Do you buy it?

    ReplyDelete
  44. @just saying - I think you mean Queen Consort, it's not Queen. But hey, if she were to become Queen, and they'd change protocol, that'd be fine by me. She's very dignified, I like her. I don't know why people give Kate such a hard time, she's extremely suitable and appropriate, always. And it never comes across fake, but always genuine. She's lovely.

@bayAreagirl - it's got nothing to do with him being ginger. I think he's sort of attractiv-ish. But that's not what I think MM is attracted to. I see no love when she looks at him, she barely does actually. She's playing him like a fiddle, and he's whipped. She's in love with the idea of marrying a Prince, and everything else @Unknown has correctly said . And everyone sees this expect for Harry.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Bored: I think we're both right. There's a difference between how they're titled and addressed and the technical description of their position. A royal descendant who becomes Monarch is King or Queen Regnant, meaning they have ruling power. Their spouses are Consorts because they're married to the Monarch but do not rule. But for example the current Queen's mother's title was "Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother" and Kate will be "Queen Catherine", though they were both Consorts, while Queen Elizabeth II is Regnant.

  50. Diana wore a crown from her side of the family, as is tradition. Catherine's a commoner and her family would not family own heirloom tiaras. She was lent one by the queen so her crown actually outranked Diana's if that makes sense.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Whoever fed you this tripe Enty is way off, the Spencer tiara will certainly not be used because they would have to ask/beg Charles Spencer for a loan of it and they loathe him for the way he treated Diana, they would certainly not want to draw attention to it again so he can flog it off for millions or send it on another lucrative 'personal appearance' tour at a high cost to the exhibitors.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I love Meghan and Harry together! She's so bright-eyed and refreshing and they're obviously in love. I hope they live happily ever after.
When I see people besmirch her character and drag her through the mud, it's amazes me how jealous and mean-spirited people can be.
Truly a shame that some people have such empty, pitiful lives.

    ReplyDelete
  53. @Bay Area Girl: Harry is not terribly attractive. I don't see women flocking to a balding man in his early 30s with a ruddy complexion who has spent his 20s partying and wore a Nazi uniform to one. Without his inherited wealth, he probably wouldn't be a fauxlanthropist. I don't think he's much of an intellectual conversation, either, as he didn't attend university, when he had all resources at his disposal to do so. It is interesting that he went the military route, as Hewitt did. Sure, he's someone's cup of tea, but it's a small pot.

  56. Mary Lamb, it’s MeAgain Sparkles’s cheerleaders such as yourself that make me roll my eyes even more (MeAgain Sparkles is so perfect, only because she was born biracial! Anyone who doesn’t love her is evil and a racist!!!). MeAgain Sparkles is a public figure, and as such, she’s open for public commentary. Just like people dislike other public figures, people are free to dislike MeAgain Sparkles, and comment about how they dislike her.

  59. I have to eat my words and appologize to Enty. It seems that that Meg may very well have been 'offered' the use of the Spencer tiara to wear by dastardly Charles Spencer.

I know an old jeweller who used to attend to Royal and Noble jewels back in the day (he's 93yrs old now), I asked him and he asked around. The word is she has been offered a loan of the tiara, it's still not certain that she will accept as more than one person has told Harry/Meg that Spencer has approached both Christies and Sothebys about selling the tiara with in the next year or two and would love to get it on her head with all the additional publicity involved to add £££'s to the auction price.

" the Spencer tiara will certainly not be used because they would have to ask/beg Charles Spencer for a loan of it and they loathe him for the way he treated Diana"

Um, I think you have Charles Spencer confused with someone else. He was very close to Diana.

To other people - almost every woman I know thinks Harry's a hottie. He's solidified that by having flipped his life around in the past few years.

Oh, and Kate won't be Queen. Y'all, please look up some GOOD references on royal precedent, ok? All this is really bugging the historian in me.

  61. Dish girl , isn't it true that Charles will become King and it won't be bi -passed to William . Protocol dictates that . I get tired of hearing that Charles is being sidelined and the crown will go to William .

    ReplyDelete
  62. @Dotty Settler: When the Queen passes, no one can prevent Charles from being king except Charles. He may choose to step aside for William, though it is doubtful he would. There's no motivation for it. The only thing I could think might interfere with it is if he developed a medical condition that mean being king was too much stress, or would interfere with his duties. That's not out of the realm of possibility. He's 69, and statistically men have more health problems as they age.

However, there are good long-living genes on both sides, so I expect he'll be king, but definitely not for as long as his mother has reigned.

William has been brought up to assume the mantle when it comes to him. I figure that will be sometime in his 50s.

Opinions and theories about all of this are a dime a dozen, but it would be incredibly unusual if Charles didn't become king.

Cathrine (Kate) wore Diana’s tiara back in Dec 2017 for diplomatic reception at Buckingham Palace. There’s pictures. BI Leaked by/for Ms Markel? Many rumours MM obsessed with playing Diana. Hence PH saying in engagement interview ‘they’d be thick as thieves”. Diana wasn’t perfect (admitted herself on tape) BUT no disputing she had rare ‘it’ factor and natural charisma and connected with many avg people she cared about who only went public many years later. You can’t play at it, either you have it or you don’t.
