Blind Items Revealed #10

July 7, 2017

All the fans of this superhero show seem to be clamoring for the exit of the second billed actress on the almost network show not as good or as popular as the others on the almost network. The thing is though, to get rid of her would cost a ton of money because she is brilliant (one of the smartest actresses on television) and from day 1 has been documenting every time she has been sexually harassed or had other things said to her which were objectionable. The producers know she has it because they tried to fire her before.

Candice Patton/The Flash (This blind was four months before Andrew Kreisberg was fired)

  1. I'm not that familiar with her, but looking at her IMDB page she seems like an Oliver Platt type actor (which is a compliment).

*If just one edge of the car is in a square, do I have to check it to prove I'm human? I had to go through at least 5 verifications to post this useless comment.

    1. Yep. Even if it's just a small piece.

    2. You only have to verify once. After that any time you want to post you just hit Post

  2. Wow I knew Katie Cassidy has a rep for being difficult, but I didn't see it being Candice on The Flash. Makes you wonder why they wanted to fire her unless it's because she generally objects to being harassed. I'm which case, can't say I blame her.

  3. Yes Don you have to check every box that has even a bit of car in it.

May I suggest her exit is clamored for due to being the Kristen Stewart of whatever show she is on. Rather than bite her lip in the face of Center City's impending doom however, she squints.

    She is beautiful, but unwatchable.

    2. Do you mean Kristen Kreuk? The worst.

  6. Had to Google her, never seen the flash. I've probably seen her in other shows, looks like she does little onsie/twosies. But just can't remember her. She'll probably continue to be a working actress, just never the star.

  7. She seems like she's on a bit actor trajectory. Like "that guy/girl" from all those movies/shows, but you can't recall their name. That's what I meant by Oliver Platt type. I always liked him in movies, many times than the leads. I respect that. It's like a commitment to a good role over a lead role.

  8. So, what happens on the set in Vancouver, Canada doesn't stay in Vancouver!
Good thing the show isn't filmed in Las Vegas!

    PS: Smart woman!

PPS: I have never watched that show.

    =)

  9. Can u judge anyones acting based on a television superhero franchise?

  10. andy81 - I believe yes. I base my opinion on Wentworth Miller's lack of acting skills completely based on DC Legends of Tomorrow.

  11. I had to Google as well. And as others said, she does look familiar-I do not watch Superhero shows. She is beautiful though and if true very savvy.

  12. Hey, Harry if things don't workout with Markle...

  13. It was the fans clamoring for her exit, not the cast or crew. Basically, her character is supposed to be the One True Love of The Flash. When it was clear during the first season that she and Grant Gustin didn't have any immediate chemistry, the producers went with other relationships for both characters. (Their backstory also had them growing up in the same house, which gave the whole thing a creepy, incesty vibe.) Unfortunately they've been brought back together and recently got married.

  14. @don well U can spot trash for sure haha, but most roles are so daft that it makes not much sense imo, i like her btw, easy on the eye and smart (according to enty), but her role isn't realy interesting. as to why people want her out, the producer prolly realized that a black girl dating the lead/ hero doesn't sit to well with alot of the viewers/white girls.

  15. @andy81-it tends to be MRA male members on twitter that have issues with race of leads.

  16. This makes no sense. The producers (and cast) love her, not to mention that The Flash is the most popular of the Arrowverse shows (and the most popular CW show in general), which is contrary to what this says.

  17. I'm confused. Your blind said her show wasn't as good or as popular as the others, but The Flash is literally the CW's #1 show in both live ratings and DVR... And while some contingent of fans may want her gone, she's also pretty popular on Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr.

  18. This items seems to have a lot of wrong info. Flash is #1 show on the network and very much popular. The actress herself is highly praised by writers and producers. Not to much the creator of comics being her number fan. The President of network himself has considered her an asset.

Majority of the fans adore and love Candice Patton. Her acting chops are phenomenal. She won a saturns award this year for her acting. Plus the Westallen wedding picture received over a million likes out of all the pictures posted on grant gustin instagram. The producers believe she is a great asset and the reason the show has number one ratings.

  20. I actually watch The Flash, it's the only superhero show on that network I watch, and she was the lead female of the show. Why does this blind say she is second billed female? I actually like her character a lot, a whole lot better than the #2 billed female (Danielle as Snow) who I wouldn't miss if the show dropped her. I think maybe this reveal is wrong. Maybe it is supposed to be Danielle and not Candice.

  22. @RachelMiddle I think second-billed just means the second name in the credits period, not second actress in the credits. But either way it's wrong, because The Flash is factually the most popular show on the CW. "Not as good" is subjective and "all the fans" is clearly an exaggeration seeing as she's got a large fanbase even if she also has detractors.

I'm laughing at the idea that she weaponized a toxic work environment to secure her position on the show. Who knew it was that simple? And after she did that, they created a season-long arc about how vital she was to the Flash's existence and how he can't live without her which led to HR dying for her (something that was foreshadowed in the very beginning of the season). Then the next season they married her and Barry off and brought in her daughter from the future. That's how it's done, ladies! Document your mistreatment, and the world will fall at your feet. If this blind IS true and simply written by a bitter Flash hater who *wishes* it was "not as good" as all the other CW shows it beats in the ratings, then I'm proud of Candice for making lemonade out of sexist and racist lemons.

  23. Wasn't there another blind that suggested the LEAD ACTOR is the one who secretly wants her booted from the show?

    ReplyDelete
  24. @RachelMiddle the blind is correct. You can (if you want) consider that being the "leading lady" is the same as "second billed", but it doesn't work like this. This industry considers other thinks, like, other jobs and acting age and whatever, so in The Flash, Danielle is the 1st because of her time acting.
