Blind Item #3
Technically this B+ list singer/songwriter/performer who is openly gay was born in the US. It isn't really where he grew up though. Anyway, he is staging a new production and is living out every one of his sexual fantasies in it. The production features teens of barely legal age who are being cast only if they look much younger than 18. It is actually in the casting notes that they need to look as young as possible. All of these one on one auditions where our B+ lister meets with the prospective actors naked is certainly interesting too. It is a such a casting couch type thing that even the A list director would be impressed. Even the director hasn't figured out how to land a project where the whole idea is to have sex with teenagers and get paid for it and have it on camera.
Rufus Wainwright?
ReplyDeleteMichael Stipe? He should be rated higher so I hope I'm wrong.
ReplyDeleteBorn in Georgia. Not the one in the Caucauses.
DeleteHe grew up in Georgia, not him.
DeleteRufus grew up in Canada
ReplyDeleteCasey Spooner?
ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone would write about Stipe he was "technically" born in the US. God, I loved REM back in the 80s.
ReplyDeleteRufus Wainwright is working on an opera called "Hadrian" that will premiere this year. According to its Wikipedia page, it has "a big chorus, a lot of characters" and a same-sex love story.
ReplyDeleteI've met Rufus. He gives me the creeps.
ReplyDeleteWainwright was also born in the US, but grew up in Canada and is more associated with Canada.
ReplyDelete@Krab got it right away, I think.
ReplyDeleteRicky Martin, born in Puerto Rico.
ReplyDeleteStipe was born in the US but he was a military brat and grew up all over the world, still I think he would have a higher rating so hopefully it is not him.

ReplyDelete"How to land a project where the whole idea is to have sex with teenagers and get paid for it and have it on camera."
Landing a project? How about capturing and inverting an entire industry?
This is the entertainment industry's Holy Grail. The last part, putting it on camera, is the only way to monetize the depravity. It must be such a nuisance having to wrap production values around getting off. But they need us to finance their perversions or else a truly beautiful thing cannot perpetuate itself. If you want to play with kiddies on a systematic wide scale, you're going to have to invest some time and money creating a massive diversionary apparatus. That's Hollywood in a nutshell.
The public has been groomed into pedophilia enablers. The word entertainment implies an industry constructed to address the leisure demands of an audience. But things have been turned ass-backwards. We serve them. Eyes wide shut.
Oh yeah, I'd forgotten Stipe was a military brat. Truth be told, once REM got big around Pop Song 89, I lost a lot of interest in them. (I thought they'd lost their interesting quirkiness.) Anyway, no way he's not perm A list.
ReplyDeleteStipe is not putting together any projects right now, that I can find.
ReplyDeleteJust throwing this out there, Ricky Martin is in residency in Las Vegas, in a big production number show, that's continuing through 2018. Directed by Jamie King, who did tours for Rhianna, Circe De Soleil, Madonna, and many others. Ricky was born in Puerto Rico, so he was born in the US. His show could be considered "living out every fantasy".
It's probably Rufus, but I don't know enough about that industry to know if the director of Hadrian is A list.
The part where it all falls apart is "on camera" for Hadrian and Ricky - it's a live performance for both of them. And, "prospective actors", not dancers or singers.
That Roman emperor is known expressly and pretty much only for buggering a Greek boy who later drowned in the river, and Hadrian was so crazy about him he had statues of him built everywhere.
ReplyDeleteMan. The things they don't tell you in school. I think this is more messed up than Caligula.
DeleteEww eww eww there isn’t enough space to put all the ewws I need to convey what I’m feeling.
ReplyDeleteWasn't there a blind that a month or so ago had Stipe involved in molesting a underage boy in a vid that REM where doing?
ReplyDeleteYou can imagine the audition for the movie version: "Joey, do you like movies about gladiators? Would you like to be in one?"
ReplyDeleteRufus Wainwright IS a creep and this is totally him and his new play.
ReplyDeletebut his cover of hallejuah is great, sadly.
This is a motherfucking outrage! It really pisses me off! Fuck the pedophile! Cut his fucking balls off!
ReplyDeletePull your head out of your ass! They are all legal of age as the blind clearly states, fucktard!
DeleteHe's having fun, good on him, whoever he is...
Really it is up to the actors/actresses to take a stand and say no to the scumbags doing these films. Otherwise, same trick, different film. I wonder if this is a bs story considering the hot topic of the moment is #timesup?
ReplyDelete@Kendrick: I thought Hadrian was primarily known for building a big fuck-off wall between the Solway Firth and the North Sea?
ReplyDeleteYour tidbit would make more sense in this instance, as I did think that the consolidation of the outer limits of the Roman Empire and control of trading routes for tribes outside of their control was an unlikely subject for a Rufus Wainwright musical...
(that’d be more George Lucas c.The Phantom Menace: there’s nothing more exciting than trading negotiations... as those of us suffering the Brexit talks will confirm)
@ToneBone: you shouldn't take everything you read on this website too seriously. that blind about Stipe was essentially taken from datalounge comments, which are notoriously exaggerated and unreliable
ReplyDeleteI should point out that according to the blind this is being done with “barely legal” teens, which means legal. So while the singer may have fantasies with the young looking actors, he is not a pedophile. Still gross to run a casting couch operation.
ReplyDelete@Unknown,
ReplyDeleteThey're not saying Hadrian director is A-list, they're comparing him to "that" A-list director who hadn't even managed this level of debauchery (Bryan Singer).
Anyway, defo Rufus Wainwright. Grade A creeper.
Stipe is permanent A list, at the very least.
@german alvarez
ReplyDelete100% accuracy!! Perfectly stated

ReplyDeleteWe solved the Church's Investment
You know, the absolutely impossible story that a religious organization funded a bioweapon?
Court documents strongly indicate:
The Mormon Church worked with South Africa during the apartheid to fund an ebola-like virus to target black people
Read the most recent comments. Enty has lead us to discover a horrible truth.
Dont just brush this off as impossible. Open your mind and heart.
We need to confront societal darkness
@AIP Very funny comment!
ReplyDeleteHadrian also enjoyed killing jews and wanted to build a new religion around his dead b.f., hence the statues. Yet he has a great reputation because he is kinda considered the father of england.
