Blind Item #26 - SAG Awards
While this dress worn by a former A list mostly movie actress made 99% of the worst dressed lists, it made the best dressed list on a couple run by fashion magazines. Apparently the designer who spends a ton on advertising made sure it did and they wanted to keep the designer happy.
Winona Ryder
ReplyDeleteKate Hudson is possible too!
DeleteKate Hudson
ReplyDeleteI'll go with Kate Hudson and her Valentino too.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I always think "would I wear that" and I would wear Winona's dress. No idea wth Kate was thinking...
ReplyDeleteOh I agree(didn’t see your post!).
DeleteI haven’t seen good press at all on it yet- and I cannot believe she wore that either😰
I'm pretty sure I saw that in Kmart in 1975.
DeleteIt was like belles of the ball with all the ruffles etc and I love girly things but not wackadoodle dresses! Also, I thought Mary J Blige looked great but she was panned for some reason.
ReplyDelete@Samantha Totally agreeing on MJBlige dress. I thought she looked fabo
DeleteHalle looked beautiful I thought... there were a few spectacular dresses but quite a few dooozies

ReplyDeleteI can't imagine who in their right mind would advise anyone to wear that dress that Kate had on. I kept flashing back to hers--among others--as reminding me of the old Gunni Sax days back in the 1980's.
ReplyDeleteThat dress was fashioned from the curtains.
ReplyDelete1st time comment but even a demented Barbie doll wouldn't want to wear that pink & black nightmare. Yikes.
ReplyDelete@RealRescues, lol, I was thinking Jessica McClintock from the 70's called. I wore a lot of Gunni Sax back in the day. Very Stevie Nicks.
ReplyDeleteKate Hudson and no excuse because this pink monstrosity made that horrible blue Victorian number she wore to the Oscars back when she was married to the dirty hippy look good
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly!! Actually I liked this outfit more, because she looked good sans dress. The year she went with Ryder’s daddy, she had HeeHaw hair!!🤮
DeleteKate’s mom COMPLETELY upstaged her at the SAGs! Goldie’s dress was gorgeous and she looked radiant - could easily pass for Kate’s sister. Kate’s dress looked like Goth Bo Peep
ReplyDelete@Julia, my thoughts exactly, as they stood together. Goldie outshone her daughter.
ReplyDeletelol if this is kate hudson, every person who reads that (when she is on a best dressed list) will laugh out loud, even the most gullible of them. nothing says 'I paid for this mention' -
ReplyDeletereminds me of when taylor swift threatened music outlets w/zero coverage if they gave Reputation a bad review. Consequence of Sound didnt kowtow to Taylor and wrote a real review (negative) - swifties flooded the comments w/anger....I cant even imagine how pathetic you have to be to stan that hard for a pop star - maybe the lack of a life makes you fill the void with that? I love that Reputation hasnt had ONE hit take over the radio like 1989 did (which was a good album imo) - Swift sinking in the charts..
Reputation is overproduced. What happened to the adorable roots rocker Swifty? She morphed into Spinal Tap.
DeleteKate's dress was actually a cool dress, but ONLY for A VERY SELECT FEW to wear, like a Cate Blanchett, Diane Kruger, or a Zendaya, say. They can take something generally hideous like that dress and turn it into FASHION. On Kate Hudson, though...yeah, no. No.
ReplyDeleteJust looked up Kate’s dress. In black and white it’s nice.
ReplyDeleteNo Chris Robinson trash talk on my watch. He went downhill after getting involved with Kate but still more talented than most discussed here.
Kate Hudson was a dumbass for wearing that POS. I can't believe someone talked her into wearing it. Hell, I can't believe someone made that POS!
ReplyDeleteWho gives a flying fuck? This is a moron question, of interest only to morons.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like something some of my kids would color. I mean, actual hearts?
ReplyDeleteIs Kate Hudson "former A list"? I'm new to CDAN, so this is a genuine question.
ReplyDeleteOk, I might be a rare bird, but I actually kind of liked Kate Hudson's dress...and it was a definite upgrade to what she wore to the GGs. It was very Victorian, but I can't help but think it would have kicked ass in a Jane Austin adaptation, like Emma. For a modest modern twist, I would have gone for mesh at the neckline over lace.
ReplyDeleteKate Hudson for sure.
