Blind Item #14 - Golden Globes
This B+ list mostly television actress who has been on television for a couple decades now and was recently booted off a now defunct show, really spoke her mind when being interviewed on the red carpet. Apparently, the female interviewer who felt on the spot criticized the weight of the actress after the actress walked away.
Somebody else besides Coke Mom bitch out an E! Interviewer?
ReplyDeleteDebra Measing/Rancic?
ReplyDeleteDebra Messing has put on some weight since the original series aired. Why even discuss it when inside the venue the grits was about to hit the fan over far, far more serious problems. Ah, Hollywood.
ReplyDeleteIndeed@Boo Hearne....
DeleteI figured messing too but can’t work out what show she was fired from
ReplyDeleteI would also add, if this happens to be Rancic, that a woman who has been extremely underweight for most of her career shouldn’t be calling anyone out about weight. I’ve always assumed the reason she was unable to carry a baby to term was due to her obvious weight issues and that the ensuing fertility treatment probably encouraged or caused her breast cancer diagnosis, she can just GTFO with her fat shaming.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. To me her weight has always seemed a weird symptom of her marriage as well - without doing too much speculation about the nature of their relationship (although that is what we’re here for!) I’d have thought a man who truly cares for his wife would be uncomfortable with her looking like that 🤷🏼♀️
DeleteDebra Messing has looked very good in the new W&G. I don't like people bothering her about her weight.
ReplyDeleteIt is a known fact that Giuliana couldn't get pregnant for the longest time due to her weight. Her group of friends are known for popping laxatives on a daily basis and sharing one plate of appetizers between 4 friends.
ReplyDeleteI assume by now, Bill is more in it for the image than anything else.
A shame no one can convince Rancic fo get help for the weight thing ..she wont be around too long without it
ReplyDeletePeople have freely discussed Giuliana's weight in a disparaging way since forever. Apparently, it's okay to slam some women but not others. I was not impressed with Messing confronting Rancic rather than Seacrest about wage disparity. Seems like a bitchy, passive-aggressive approach so (assuming it's true) I wouldn't blame Rancic for calling out her fat smug ass.
ReplyDeleteConnie Britton?
ReplyDeleteEve Longoria brought it up as well.
ReplyDeleteAnd she’s pregnant, which may make Giuliana a bit jealous.
ReplyDeleteEva Longoria? She is pregnant though, I believe. She mentioned the pay discrepancy while interviewed by E!
ReplyDeleteEva was being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest when she brought it up. That rules her out.
ReplyDeleteI’d say Debra Messing but not sure she’s been booted off any shows, unless Enty just means her last one was cancelled?
ReplyDeleteconsidering rancic is the most unfuckable looking stick to be seen, and her semi-hot husband is fucking a (likely younger/hotter/not anorexic) woman on the side, she's one to talk.
ReplyDeleteif you have working eyeballs, they look at rancic and go "oh shit...that poor Thing...."
she's a bone that's a boner killer if there ever was one.
Is this really even true? Giuliana is-what - 45 years old. Would she really be fat-shaming anyone when nary an article or comment about her is printed in which she is not body-shamed? Even if she was angry about what Messing said, why would she bring up her weight? It just seems so petty and juvenile and beside the point.
ReplyDeleteI think it's fine for celebs to have opinions about the Catt Sadler situation, but it's just odd to direct it at Giuliana and Ryan who don't set salaries and don't sign anyone's paychecks. I get that they want the message to get out, but how about trying an appeal to the actual executives who might be able to do something about it (instead of using this issue as a way to get more publicity and attention and thus further their own popularity and interests in the public eye).
Wage inequality happens every day to women across every strata. It happened to me 15 years ago, and I quit that Wall Street job I had as well. It was a tough lesson, and I was lost for a little while, but luckily I have a good support system and was ok eventually. But there are women in much more dire straits than me who can't afford to that. I worry about those women. I don't know how badly I feel for a woman who is getting millions of dollars and is overpaide to do what she does, or how "impressed" I am by the overpaid Hollywood women who are standing up for her (or purportedly this issue) or their meretricious public proclamations.
Debra Messing was all over the papers today for complaining about pay equality at E! while being interviewed by an E! host.
ReplyDeleteGiuliana was paid more than her co-host. I just couldn't take my eyes off Messng's bad makeup job.
ReplyDeleteOmg Debra’s makeup was sooooooo bad I’ve never seen anything like it!!!
DeleteUnknown you are missing the point.... it's not about feeling sorry for anyone... it doesn't matter if you are earning minimum wage or tens of millions - there shouldn't be a wage disparity between men and women for the same jobs, it's fucking ludicrous. If celebs can bring attention to the problem, it will filter throughout the rest of society, the same way #timesup has. There's an actor here in Australia who is being investigated for sexual harassment at this very moment. The women said they came forward because their confidence was bolstered by the Weinstein fallout. This actor's been acting like a skeezy lech for years apparently...
ReplyDeleteEva Longoria and the defunct show's Telenovela? I don't know if the Will and Grace reboot is cancelled for it to be Debra.
