So, apparently if you keep all the secrets you know in house about all the sexual harassment and assault, you not only get promoted, but thanks from the deviant too.
It could be Hoda, but hey, if she had said something even a few months ago she would have been out on her rear faster than Lauer goes through sex toys. See: Curry, Anne.
What about Bob Greenblatt - the recently promoted NBC executive?
I don't understand while all the reports say "Kotb is replacing Lauer." It seems much more logical that Savannah Guthrie has really 'replaced' Lauer and Hoda Kotb is Savannah's replacement.
After Lauer was ousted, Hoda was asked by paps if she had anything to say to him her response was "love you, Matt". So I stil won't be watching. She and Savannah both still love Matt depsite knowing about his despicable behavior.
I like Hoda, but she's not hard-hitting, of course, none of the morning shows are hard-hitting though. I've never found Hoda to be in the trenches with the likes of Lauer. I like her as the replacement though. She's paid her damn dues with Kathi Lee..
The thing about the Today Show was that Lauer's behavior wasn't an open secret in that it wasn't secret at all. Everyone knew, and his female coworkers like Katie Couric openly joked about it. I knew about it, and I know no one connected to the show.
What could any of the women have done about it? Complaining would have gotten them fired and replaced.
Don't blame the women who lived with piggish behavior because their other choice was unemployment. I hope things will change, but the idea that any one of these women (Hoda, Guthrie or even the ever obnoxious Kathie Lee) had more power than Lauer and wouldn't have been escorted out of Rockefeller Center to the snickers of dumb c**t from any number of NBC executives the moment they complained is laughable.
Look at how Kelly Ripa was treated on her own damn show, being the last to know the co-star she handpicked was moving on. She was portrayed as a hysteric when she demanded to be treated like any male in the business would have have been.
Hoda?
ReplyDeleteSounds like Hoda...
ReplyDeleteSo the Bush daughter going to replace her
ReplyDeletein the 3rd hour? She’s hilarious
Let's be real - they all kept this a secret, for many, many, many years.

DeleteHoda is a company girl she knows where her bread is buttered.
ReplyDeleteThis is why, in a nutshell, the abuse continues. People keep silent hoping for a future financial gain.
ReplyDeleteThe Bush daughter Jenna is OBNOXIOUS.
ReplyDeleteHoda will still be co-hosting with KLG.

ReplyDeleteSavannah has her job in,part because of Laur's behavior. And anyone close to him knew.
ReplyDeleteSavannah knew about Matt's affair at work and did nothing. So Hoda gets promoted.
ReplyDeleteTHEY ALL KNEW.
ReplyDeleteHoda is no different then every other person that works there, from the anchors to the caterers to the cameramen - they all knew.
