Blind Item #10

The head of this network is about to go crashing down in a ball of flames. The things he has done to employees and actresses who work for the network is mind blowing.

  1. Then I'll take Les Moonves.

  3. Les Moonves... Poor Chenbot may be out of a job in the future.

  4. We can probably wait a bit and both will get shitcanned.

Les Moonves. BlindGossip had a post that the NYT was working on putting together a story about someone with Weinstein-level power and were talking to CBS employees about it. The general thought in the comments was either David Letterman, Dan Schneider (CBS owns Nickelodeon) or Moonves.

    This apparently confirms its him.

    1. Yup I saw they said CBS which encompasses many hats but this blind narrows it to Les M. I feel bad for his wife if so

  6. Other sites reporting that Ronan Farrow has been calling people at CBS and that the next Weinstein-size scandal is getting ready to go down.

  7. les moonves (CBS head)

already buzz about a NYT / Farrow working on a piece about him

  8. Les Moonves is the smartest man in the room regardless of where he goes. He is very low-key and shuns the spotlight when he can. He is also a blood relative of David Ben Gurion. Talk about pedigrees!!

  9. They better not cancel Celebrity Big Brother!

  11. I want scandals involving Disney traitor Kennedy. She raped all fans of a real Star wars movie. Instead we got this parody.

  12. I keep thinking it'll be someone from Nickelodeon. Isn't Dan Schneider at Nickelodeon? Please let it be someone who DESERVES to fallout and not someone weak they are just tossing under the bus to "appear" as if they are cleaning house.

  13. Was just going to ask about Dan Schneider. Surely if someone else under that umbrella goes he can't be far behind if even 10% of what's out there on the net is true about him.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Ugh seriously how is Dan Schneider still working.

    ReplyDelete
  15. People keep throwing Schneider's name out but as far as I know he is not "head of a network." As to Les Moonves, never heard anything crazy about him. Has anyone else?

  16. @Lea Unfortunately he's still working. Hopefully he's next to go down. D.S. beyond disgusting.

  17. I want to see those who abuse child actors and actresses be exposed! Hollywood has been a pedophiles playground since it's early days ,too many have wined up dead or with destroyed lives. It is not just due to aging out of being a child who no longer is in the spotlight.Media has always given the perception that no longer being on a show or in a movie, was why so many end up dead but in Reality it is the systemic abuse IMO.

  18. Oh man if this is Moonves we may never have another season of Big Brother. Oh wait, I don't care.

  19. Head of CBS.
There have been rumblings about somebody big at CBS going down.
I have no idea what he has done, but clearly it's big enough to take him down.

  20. I didnt even know who les moonves was, I had to look him up.

  21. Head of Network would not be Dan Schneider, although he is beyond past due for being completely crushed. Les Moonves would be the head of CBS Corp, but there is also a board (that includes William S. Cohen, Clinton's secretary of state) and their subsidiaries, like CBS Sports, CBS Films, CBS Television, Showtime, 50% of the CW as well as Simon & Schuster.
Ronan Farrow talking with CBS people probably means it's someone big under the CBS umbrella, but Moonves isn't the only head of a network at CBS. He's technically head of CBS Corp, but not necessarily the "head of the network". They do run multiple networks.

(The Clinton Sec of State part was true, but just to feed the trolls. Maybe if they eat, they'll play nice)

  22. Forgot to add, the Letterman guess is obviously wrong since he isn't the head of any networks (production and record companies, yes, but not a network).
However, it would have been very interesting if it was him. His Netflix show just premiered with Barack Obama as his guest. (I already opened the trollgates, so I figured if they get google alerts about Obama and Clinton mentioned in the same thread, they will be here very soon. Now that I started this mess, for a good ol' Irish Goodbye

  23. @Don, titles and roles aside, Les Moonves runs CBS. Unless they have another role within the company, Board Members don't handle the daily operations of a company. They typically just show up for the quarterly meeting. Occasionally a vote is needed for a "material transaction," such as a large acquisition, sale, merger--or the firing/hiring of a C level executive.

If Les Moonves goes, I'm pretty sure Schneider is not far behind.

  24. What has Les Moonves done?

    ReplyDelete
  25. BayAreaGirl, the board part was just so I could make the Clinton reference per conspiracy rules. CBS head of network definitely makes me think of Moonves, but I'm stuck on "network" and Showtime would technically have a different head of network, right? I'm not sure, since they still all fall under Les, but didn't want to limit my guess to just him

  26. Good comments Don K. It's not necessarily Moonves, who is the CEO of several CBS "networks" and not likely very hands-on with actual show productions. (Hmm, maybe the term "hands-on" should be avoided ...). Perfectly okay to mention ex-Senator ex-Secretary Cohen; having politicians on the board tells you there's some sleaze underneath.

CJ: "It's not necessarily Moonves, who is the CEO of several CBS "networks" and not likely very hands-on with actual show productions."

Les Moonves was "intimately involved in the whole [Gossip Girl] audition process"

  28. A couple other gossip sites are writing about this too. One of them says it's somebody significant inside CBS but doesn't say a network head. It does say he's "as big as Weinstein."

Could that mean perhaps SIZE, not corporate standing? Dan Schneider also large like Weinstein. Larger, even. Could Enty have swiped this blind from another site and presumed the Weinstein comparison meant top network exec?

Doesn't matter. If Dan Schneider goes, you'd think Moonves would follow. How could they pretend not to know? Everybody knows.

  29. @Dan Kieballs

Cohen was Defense, not State. That was Albright.......easy to tell them apart!

  30. I'm going to guess Les Moonves, which is actually very shocking to me. Will there be repercussions because CBS is a publicly traded company?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Les had a huge part in everything eighties, good or bad. He's written about in books about mtv, howard stern, he was everywhere media oriented. Can't remember all I've read, but I've been reading his name everywhere for decades

  32. Isn’t it incredible that even for a blind such as this, with very few possible answers, there are still multiple options? Although there is often a single “best choice”, just as with this one (Les).

Beggars the question once more, WHO’S NEXT?!?

Seize all their assets. Dump them all in a pit. Douse in gasoline. 🔥. Or, a slightly more environmentally friendly solution, lock them in shipping cargo containers, submerge them in the San Pedro Harbor for 5-10 minutes, empty container contents into the water.

  33. Ahhhh, this would be Cohen! This would mesh with the Huma/Hubbie blind!!! He's given up Cohen???

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm rather disappointed that the NYT will be running this story rather than the New Yorker. Wonder how watered down they'll demand from Ronan. Or not. But, If I'm correct that his is Cohen, NYT being in Trump's corner would love it to be about someone connected to Clinton's, no, yes?
