At my holiday party, on Friday afternoons, and every other day in the workplace. I work for a large tech company, so nearly every floor has a beer keg and sometimes also a wine keg. There's usually someone in every group that has a whiskey or other cocktail bar. We don't actually *drink* that often. But if you want a drink after a tough week or tough meeting, it's available.
Work alone. My christmas party/bonus will be a trip to the strip club. Started doimg it 2 yrs ago and i am batting .500 on getting take out to a motel.
We go out for lunch and can have drinks, but there is no drinking at the office. There are no longer big parties or open bars because of the liabilities and now I think they are worried about people becoming "inappropriate". Thanks, Harvey.
Satin Dolls too far north and closing or closed. Probably either Bourbon Street if i decide to stay in NJ or a run through Tattletales/Club Risque/a seedy dump if i decide to go over the bridge to PA so i can smoke in the joint.
Yes and lots of it. We're a small business so our boss hosts at his place, caters in and springs for a bartender. It gets pretty crazy and we all look forward to letting loose.
No booze! Worked 48 years and only one job offered liquors at the Party. That was in London when I was working for an Irish-based news-gathering group. I was the only employee who wasn't Irish. The bosses came in stoned, drank beer at lunch, staggered out to a local Pub after work. And yet, they got the job done, did their jobs totally professionally, and no one seemed to guess how high they were. God, I miss those guys soooo much!
Oh yes and lots of it, I’m still hungover from Sunday night. Lol It was a great one. I’d love to thank the two good doctors that I work with, as they provided us a wonderful evening!! Whereas the establishment that I work for gave us a cold lunch, that wasn’t meant to be a cold meal. Just today and yuck!!
Well I just got told what my works doing for Xmas party its going to be (sigh) FUCKING BINGO???? Joy! Fun night to be had by all! Drinks after too! Hate to be antisocial but fuck that!
No! Small company, under 20 employees, boss is uptight AF. We have a lunch, no booze and I call it the "Holiday Obligation" because it in no way resembles a party.
We own our own small business, and have always done fun parties (we did a couple amazing race events, we’ve taken the employees go kart racing etc) and we always end with lots of booze!
I'm the boss, so every year I invite my employees to a trendy restaurant for a Christmas party dinner. They can order and drink whatever they like, and how much they like.
cash bar
ReplyDeleteThere's booze everywhere I go, or I don't go. (Not that I'm throwing any party or shit.)
ReplyDeleteI once dated a gorilla. One night I suggested we go out and tie one on, so he took me to the Monkey Bars.
ReplyDeletefuck yes and free too
ReplyDelete@sandybrook - word, same lol
ReplyDeleteNo, because people then have to step out and drive trains, lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm retired, so it's a party everyday, and booze is always involved.
ReplyDeleteMy company is a booze company. We get booze if there is a 3 day weekend.
ReplyDeleteAha Panda let's meet sometime under the tableπ

ReplyDeleteAwesome! My friend's Christmas Party is at Whiskey's this year and I'm her +1.
DeleteMost definitely. Our office is small, so we have a holiday lunch at a restaurant. The only requisite is that the place have a full bar.

ReplyDeleteDid you mean to say "maximum"?
DeleteYep, open bar every year. People generally act like adults, but every so often someone will get smashed and embarrass themselves.

ReplyDeleteI didn't go to the after-party... I read "Notes from the Underground", and had booze and room service with my plushies instead. π½π©π»πππ
ReplyDeleteI'm in real estate, so.... yeah.
