ReplyDeleteOne of the first films I worked on when I moved to LA was "Tuff Turf."
It starred James Spadar, Kim Richards and Robert Downey Jr.
Out of the three, James was the biggest a-hole. (He didn't like my reference to us growing up in MA.)
Kim was too pretty to approach. (Gorgeous woman made me nervous back then. (I was young.))
Robert was easy to talk to even though he wasn't on set a lot of the time.)
So, if Robert is one of the Hmmmms: Hi, Robert!

Hi David - I’m also curious about Spader’s Massachusettts disdain! I grew up near his hometown of North Andover and my mom’s friend knew him from Phillips Academy. I was always under the impression he liked it here and I know he bought a house in Marion, Mass. not too long ago.

I think most of this is searchable online, but yeah, he grew up in North Andover, went to the Pike School (where his mom taught), Brooks Academy (where his father taught) and Phillips Academy before ultimately moving to NYC to pursue acting. And like you said, North Andover is a very nice town and all of the Massachusetts schools he went to (especially Phillips) are quite prestigious. His mother was from Marion, Mass where he has a house now. My mom's friend who went to school with him at Phillips always had good things to say about him. If memory serves, he was friendly and had a great sense of humor, so I'm quite curious to hear what David has to say about his time with him on the set!

ReplyDeleteHey Scandi, I'm #5 and I don't recall which it is but I know it's got to be Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. I actually think I blended a few of their different lip tars to get my lips to match my hair that day. LOVE OCC as they often have bold colors that were up until a few years ago rather rare to find in your general lip brands. But I'll definitely have to check out Colourpop!! 👍🏼😎💄💋
