Which Oscar winning director is being extorted by that slimy cult that he was once apart of? He's planning to sue not only the cult but also the woman who is being paid by the cult to smear him.
This is the time for them to try it, though. If they had gone after him before, then it would have looked way too obvious that they were getting revenge. Now, with everything going on, they can make him look bad and not appear to be vindictive. Plus, even if proven false, it will stick with him and make people question him.
