Blind Items Revealed #1

August 28, 2017

Video Music Awards

Things were so bad in rehearsals for this foreign born A- list singer that producers wanted to cut her performance. They probably should have or her people should have come up with an illness excuse.

Lorde

  1. She actually had the flu, lost her voice and still went on like a professional. She did some weird interpretive dance, grey track pants and all.

  2. Call me crazy but I thought it was actually awesome it was one of my favorite performances of the night which I suppose isn't saying much

  3. Lorde is a major talent. Her latest cd is my favorite of this year. No need to hate on a young gifted and unique female artist.

  4. Lorde came out of the gate running but then lacked in upward movement. Needs better people perhaps. ??? A great talent going to waste.

  5. Her album was okay and i'm amazed how high it got in the end of the year lists.

  6. Is she the one who cancelled her Israeli tour? What artist in his/her right mind does something that stupid in 2018?! Doesn't she have managers and agents who advise her? Oh, she does and their names are Curly and Mo?

  7. Yeah, I'm not too sure what the point of this blind was. She's very talented, and a little bit different from her peers, so doing something "weird" like she did is pretty much in her wheelhouse, so...?

  8. She & I share the same B-Day, so I’m always rooting for her

  9. Like most pop stars, she's just not good when she actually sings live.

  11. Let’s not forget that she didn’t actually sing during this performance, but instead did an interpretive dance. So a successful singer who does with no dance background at all did a performance with no singing and all dancing. It was pretty cringey.

  12. @BooHearne,other artists are publicly calling for performers to boycott Israel, her people probably caved in to the pressure.

  13. Boo Hearne clearly isn't up to date on the ridiculousness in Israel.
Wonder if his head will explode when Bibi finally finds himself in jail.

  14. @Boo Hearne, I don't find " stupid " her decision. What do you mean by that? That all people have to bow down to Israël? Lol.

    1. @lol, not everyone agrees with BDS. Plain and simple. Allow people to have differing opinions than your own. Leave Boo alone. Kthanksbye!

  15. I'd say Lorde gets a lot of attention for a one hit wonder.

  16. Singling out Israel, while supporting the sewer that is the rest oft he Middle East, sends out messages of appeasement and cowardice.
Either way nobody gives a shit, I'm sure. In 5 years nobody will remember her. Meanwhile Aerosmith, Madonna, Guns, Radiohead, Bon Jovi, Rihanna, Britney, Mariah, even Justin fucking Bieber, all do Israel.
REAL artists don't bow to political pressure by fascists, they just do music.

  17. Why do you people consistently get hung up on politics? It detracts from the site, and clearly Americans are living in 2+ disjoint realities atm with the only solution being to wait it out.

  18. OMG I just playedd this on youtube wtf HORRIBLE. holy hell that was bad. wow lol . why?

  19. I think it's cool that she is interested in dance--I wonder if she studies Kate Bush's work. But she needs to go back to Martha Graham 101, it's embarrassing.

  20. Saw this on tv while picking up food and it was hilarious. She knew it was bad too. She could barely keep from laughing.

  21. Nothing to do with her cancelling the Israel concerts, right, enty lawyer?

  22. What a joke. Lorde aligns herself with those committed to Israel’s fiscal destruction. Lorde’s decision to play in Russia, which has backed the murder of 500,000 Arabs in Syria under Bashar al-Assad, makes a mockery of her tour and will forever undermine any legitimate pretense she might otherwise have had to be a human rights activist.

In another, better world, there once was a cultural boycott of apartheid South Africa https://www.jstor.org/stable/4186110
