Blind Item #5

This A list reality star with a huge side project is misleading her fans when she says they are getting the lowest possible prices for her side project. Ummm, the same company you pretend that doesn't exist makes the same product you are selling for 1/7th the price. So, basically you are just being greedy and shafting your fans.

  7. People are allowed to not buy Kylie's and Khloe's products if they don't want to... No one is forcing them to spend 7x as much. There are also a million examples of things being overpriced.

  8. I always remember someone telling me that greed will always be someone's downfall. Perhaps Kylie is being too greedy this time around???? Same for her lip stuff, could go into Walgreen's and buy same exact stuff for 'bout 1/2 the price.

  9. Kylie Jenner with her brushes.
The company which makes the same lipsticks' formula is Colourpop.

  10. It's the same thing with whazhername and her "Honest" company. She was on some cover with the headline: This is what a Boss looks like. Yeah, sure. It was pretty impressive the way she spotted a developing problem with shipping from the Malaysian factory, and flew out there to work it out while at the same time coming up with a new source for the absorbent fiber in the diapers. And how she got down and dirty to force the payroll outsource company to cut their price, so she could pass the savings on to the customers!

  12. I still say this make-up brush may be her "hickup" in her line. I don't see the typical parent shelling out $360 for brushes!! Greed loses.

  14. For the love of god, Why is this family still famous?! You know, I wasn`t happy about Trump, but I thought "at least NOW people would stop caring about that mess of a `family`. We have much bigger worries now. Finally some perspective" You know?
But No. People still care about them. It`s honestly beyond my comprehension.

  15. This could be any of them but one of the kartrashians is always a good guess.

  16. This could be either Kim or Kylie but since Kylie's new products are about to drop i'll go with her. Everyone knows her shit is made in the same factory as color pop. Lots of cosmetics companies do this though, not just Kylie.

  18. @Alona M: I've been reading this blog for about six weeks. Interested in the process that began with the Weinstein story. Previously I had not concentrated much on the dynamics of celebrity, but it is fascinating as a social science topic. There are some real artists who become celebrities, of course, but painfully obvious is the fact that many, probably most, celebrities don't really merit the attention for any reason. I'm sure most of the regulars here fully understand the phenomenon. I see it as primarily driven by the attention that is given. When I was a kid, someone quoted to me the statement that a celebrity is someone who is well-known for being well-known. It's the madness of crowds; people wanting to see what so many other people are looking at. Some celebrities have pretty much dispensed with trying to do anything by which they would "deserve" the attention, which becomes almost an evil inversion of the dynamic of high art. Ordinary individuals don't have the ability to cut off the Kardashians and their like from all the attention that people give them. Maybe the best we can do is boycott them and never speak their names. Keep them out of our own consciousness to the extent possible, and encourage others to do likewise.

  19. If you're that stupid to spend that kind of $$ to emulate trash then just stay off the roads when I'm on them, please!

  20. it's kind of funny to me , ironically there are but three things I will spend money on 1. a good haircut 2. a good pair of jeans 3. makeup but NEVER will I spend $360 on a set of Kylie Jenner anything . I have however spent $27 on a Kat von d eyeshadow brush. it's awesome and has lasted forever. you get what you pay for. I wonder if kylie's stuff is quality because I can see how 5 or 6 brushes could add up but never would I purchase if only cause of the name, shallow like that

  21. +1 Doug

I would be more than happy to never mention any name from that family again. The more they are mentioned in the media, the more money they will make and the longer they will be the center of attention.

We did it before on this site. We had TRASH-free month here at CDaN a few times. It was so nice. Would love to see it happen again.

Let's boycott the TRASH family once and for all from this site.

  22. @Lucy - Can confirm, the Kat Von D eyeshadow brush, while seemingly pricey to some, is high quality and worth the money because it *is* long lasting. I would never buy anything Kardashian at this point though, no matter what quality, just on general principle.
