Blind Item #1
This would be a scary collaboration. Remember how that one rapist got to stay on the job longer than any of us would have believed? Well, apparently the private detective resources of that slimy cult are being hired out to studios and agencies to try and dig up dirt on accusers. I can honestly say no one does it better than the slimy cult and they have a lot of mutual shared interests. Accusers are going to be in for a very rough time.

ReplyDeletehey, a new revenue stream for scientology!
ReplyDelete+1 Donna and just saying beat me to it!
ReplyDelete+100 Just sayin'
ReplyDeleteI wonder if he raped Lisa Robin Kelly on the set of That 70’s Show? I also wonder if Topher Grace had knowledge of this which led to Xenu messing with his career?
ReplyDeleteThat would certainly explain why she disintegrated after a promising start.
Delete$cio is a dead cult; it just doesn’t know it yet. Keep burning through the ill gotten funds via attorneys, PIs, and bribes though - all wasted efforts at this point - to speed up the process. It will also make it easier when all the files are leaked as to who the other predators were and who they were targeting.
ReplyDeleteIf the rest of Hollywood has to hire Scio to do their dirty investigations, it makes me wonder who was doing them before, and why they stopped. I wonder if there's an investigatory agency of some sort that used to provide dossiers on people for a price, but has become too busy with other matters to do that anymore. Or I guess whoever did it still does it, but just can't keep up anymore.
ReplyDeleteIt's strange, when you dig into this stuff, you tend to find interconnections with politics, industry, media, etc., and the same names tend to pop up. Like it's one big social circle that encompasses several smaller circular objects that overlap and sometimes work together. But Scio seems kinda separate from that, doing their own creepy stuff without much overlap with the rest. As the blind says, they have "common interests" now, as if they didn't before. Scio and non-Scio work together on their day jobs, but it seems like they keep their hobbies separate. I don't know if that means anything, it's just interesting to me.
Welp, only good thing is the Scio members can't really come out in support of anyone really as they'll be quickly shot down on social media.
ReplyDeleteRemember how Toper Grace didn't get along with the rest of the cast on that 70's show and people thought it was bc he was stuck up? Well can't help but think now it was bc he had a soul. Just saying a lot of us owe him a big sorry.
ReplyDeleteSo basically Hollywood never had any intention of reforming itself and this was just a show. Why am I not surprised. And with the other blind today of an actress accepting a payoff to not speak about her experiences it just confirms that this is just a farce.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe that's true. 💔
Delete@amused bush - they're some good questions!
ReplyDeleteHwood is simply reshuffling behind the scenes and the women are busy at conferences trying to get more money with Denier Streep leading the way. So yeah, the private club is carrying on.
ReplyDeleteHaha! This wasn't even a blind!
ReplyDeleteAs far as Hollywood actually making changes, HA! I told my husband that a lot of these people that are getting outed are simply easy sacrifices. It looks like something big is happening, but it's just to distract from the really big issues and horrible deeds.
A coworker keeps saying things are gonna change and this will be great for everyone. I said, nope. We will get all high and mighty and start to get comfortable again only for shit to happen all over like before. No one is really learning from any of it, so history keeps repeating itself.
Omg
ReplyDeleteLooking at it now, I have no doubt that DM was behind Lisa Robin Kelly's descent. Dammit. She never worked after the show, except for two short films. I think the subject matter of both were messages we didn't get at the time. One was a Hollywood cautionary tale, the other was about an exploited teen girl.
Finally, she's getting justice. I hope.
I wasn't aware that "Hollywood" ever even claimed it was reforming itself. There was never any chance of that coming from within anyway. Just as there was never any chance that someone like Weinstein could be disgraced by an angry actress. That's not how it works. Payoffs, threats, hits, and coverups are how it works.
ReplyDeleteAny reform had to be driven from the outside, and that will continue to be the case. (See also: Congress.) If there isn't an outside force that continues to expose people, it's over.
