Blind Items Revealed #5 - Anniversary Month
March 28, 2007
So when celebs are out of the country they can get away with acting really strange. Usually. This A list film actor decided to take advantage of his recent foray to another country. (This wouldn't work in the UK, so skip it when thinking about it) The actor went to a shop that catered to the plus sized woman and walked out about 30 minutes later in women's clothing. Apparently someone tried to take a cell phone pic of the actor but only caught him from behind. When the person tried to catch up with the actor, he turned around and advised her to mind her own business and she was too shocked to just hold up the damn phone and take the pic. No word on where the actor went.
John Travolta

John Travolta
Eeek.
ReplyDeleteGood for him, telling her to mind her business. He is entitled to his privacy just like any other tourist or shopper. I always liked him, by all accounts Travolta is nice guy
ReplyDeleteHe was just doing research for his role in Hairspray. I don't see John as a cross dresser. That said, I am still in denial he's gay!
ReplyDeleteHe was probably off to a massage parlor.
ReplyDeletei think boo hearne got it...testing to see if he could pass as a woman?
ReplyDeleteGood. Obviously that woman didn't expect to be called out on her rudeness.
ReplyDeleteSo, John likes to play dress up!
ReplyDelete(Plus size must work for 6' tall boy/girls.)
Bruce Jenner played dress up, too for a long time, before coming out as a woman.
Not sure why this rates a mention, he isn’t doing anything to anybody. Its sad he has to leave the country just to get some peace and quiet.
ReplyDeletei agree karen walker: our culture's so heteronormative that we point fingers at anyone who's "different". that being said, public figures who are hypocrites and pretend to be something they're not need to be called out, because they promote false standards for "normality" when they could use their fame to open minds.
ReplyDeleteThere are photos of him cross-dressing, they came out when his son died and he was rumoured to be angry with Scientology. The rumours about assaults also started appearing and a photo of him kissing a pilot 'friend' on the lips. All these things seemed to go away after he 'came to his senses' and carried on with Scientology.
ReplyDeleteNow the old assault charges have come up again because of the Weinstein stuff. The guy that accused him in 2010 is on twitter, he's called Marky Hutt. He has photos of evidence on there (think Monica LWeinsky! ) and he says he refused 3 financial offers from Travolta's lawyers as he felt the truth should be known instead.
I'm all for doing what you want and dressing however you want but it becomes a problem when you use a false image to promote a damaging cult. Then there's the Spacey-esque allegations of assault.
Sorry, I can't imagine it was freedom and privacy he was after. Being well known star walking down street in drag is a bizarre way to feel free and private. It's passive-agressive for John to react like that. He's screaming to come out.
ReplyDeleteUnless he went into this women's plus size shop in full make up and a wig, I'm thinking he must've looked pretty damn ridiculous with his usual hair piece and a 5 oclock shadow
ReplyDeleteCome out John. It's ok and no big deal. Your fans would be proud of you. Leave the evilness behind and move forward.
ReplyDeleteYa know, I never got the feeling that he was extremely forceful with those he purportedly sexually assaulted. It's not like he rammed his wad up their asses, to be blunt.
ReplyDeleteOf course, he was blatantly overt in his actions but for some reason I just think he was feeling them out (pun intended), so to speak.
If he likes to dress up as a woman, so what.
He does need to keep his hands to himself. Verbal communication is key.
I too like Travolta. I also don't care if tries to sleep with masseurs, they can say no, as they have.
ReplyDeleteI also don't care that he dresses up as a woman. Each to their own.
But this bullshit 'our cultures is so something-phobic' has to stop for fuck's sake.
Can somebody for the love of God, give me an example of a culture, that is more open minded, and more accepting than our modern Western culture?
Do some of you here really believe that if a man walked around in drag in some African, Asian, Middle Eastern, Far East Asian country, they'd feel safer than in a Western one? They'd probably by lynched in most of them.
okay, monteverde, i surrender, lol. i tried to raise my 4 millenials as republicans. i'm now a democrat and they are very, very liberal, and don't let me get away with saying anything that shows my age or "white privilege". maybe i go too far with the political correctness.
ReplyDeleteHas he never heard of online shopping? All the dresses he wants delivered discretely.

ReplyDelete@Boo Hearne My Mom won't believe it's Travolta in Hairspray - even after seeing his name in the credits!
