This former A+ list mostly movie actor who seems to have been given parole by the Hollywood community has been giving death stares to reporters who ask about sexual predators while doing a press tour for his latest movie. He also seems to be ignoring all of his predatory behavior, of which there is a verrrrrrrrry long list.
Mel Gibson

Mel Gibson
Years and years ago, while I was living & working in Hollywood, I had the unfortunate distinction of running into Mel in a Bar in LA.
ReplyDeleteHe was an ass then; not surprised he's still an ass!
Told ye he was as shify as hell when asked that question on The Late Late Show (may be available for international viewing via the RTÉ YouTube channel), It’s worth it for the Ferrellisms...nowhere near enough Lithgow though!
ReplyDeleteI also noticed he was really sneery talking about his mother “naming him after two churches in Longford” (well for a start, you snot, you’re named for the saints; Mel allegedly the nephew of Saint Patrick, and the other Colmcille/Columba of Iona who helped Christianise Scotland. Secondly, one of them is a cathedral, which you studiously ignored when it was burned to cinders. Git. The fine people of Longford may be blinkered, but some of the rest of us are onto you.
He did mention he was the middle child, which may help explain his major malfunction.
I think anyone who's read about his drunken travails for years is not surprised he's always been an ass.
ReplyDelete@AIP - Interesting, I didn't know any of that. Git! (No, not you!) I haven't seen that word for a very long time, thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteGiven parole? He's lucky to get cast in anything. That said...
ReplyDeleteYes Mel is an abusive ass but his issues are domestic violence. He's made plenty of films and so far no one has come forward with sexual harrasment complaints or fuck-for-parts requirements from him. He seems to be able to keep his abusive ways out of his work.
I'm not excusing anything he's done but if he doesn't abuse his co-workers why is it not ok for him to talk about those who do?
I would not be so categorical about Mel Gibson. Mel Gibson filmed a film showing the truth about what is happening in Australia outside of its beautiful cities, where gangs of bikers are non-violent-rape women and kill men (or rape men and kill women, oh, this amalgam movie!). Even more I admire his film, where he played in the role of his ancestor Conan the Barbarian - the leader of the Vikings, who fight with the Teutonic knights for the freedom of their country. In this film, the evil knight - Sheriff Nottingham raped his wife. I think that Mel Gibson, always akuratny to the story, portrayed the life and suffering of his ancestor, so he is so ambivalent about any reports of rape.
ReplyDeleteAs an excuse for Mel - in his films, rapists and villains have always been killed in the most shameful way.
Yesterday I saw clips of all 4 Daddy’s Home actors talking in a junket about all the Hollywood allegations and firings and truth-telling. Mel’s reaction was ridiculous. You have never seen a more fidgety person in your life. He looked like Gollum when he lost the ring.
ReplyDeleteRidiculous. https://www.facebook.com/Channel4News/videos/10155430740251939/
ReplyDelete@Stupid Monkey: you have to get that movie made!!
ReplyDelete@jessorella: genuinely LOLed at your comment! And OMG what fuck was he doing with his beard?! I hope he at least bought it dinner first!!! 😂
I thought he was on the list of the good guys in Hollywood you guys pousted???

ReplyDeleteSounds like reporters are prodding Mel to talk about abuse, because they'd much rather be talking about Mel's past problems than talking about the actual rapists and pedophiles that are being named right now in the industry. (Gee, I wonder why that would be?) And Mel is getting annoyed with this attempt to make the story about him, as anyone would.
