Blind Item #3

Every couple of years, this A+ list author shows the world what kind of a-hole he is by defending men who are pedophiles. How is it he knows so many? How is it his best friends are pedophiles? Ever since he first came out in support of it, I have not bought or read any of his books.

24 comments:

  1. John Grisham. I was disgusted by the comments he made and his support for his awful friend. Did he do it again? Count me as another reader he lost when he said it.

  2. John Grisham, a few years ago with some dumb-ass statement and explanation.

  3. I've read his comments. He is obviously a pedophile himself. I used to read his novels years ago. But he's a sick f..k who probably has pictures and videos of kids hidden somewhere. He just has that look...

  4. Gay Talese. Either he's a horrible human being, or he has dementia. Nothing else can explain his public comments in the past few years.

  6. Gay Talese and John Grisham are both scum of the highest order. Don't forget, Brad Renfro was the star of the Client...

  7. The sad thing is that Grisham and Talese both fit based on their comments, but this blind is about Grisham. He actually supported a top criminal lawyer who was found to have looked at child porn. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/11171230/John-Grisham-paedophile-row-sex-offenders-are-not-good-guys.html

  8. Crap. Another of my favorite authors goes down in flames in my eyes.

  10. The number of pedophiles trying to normalize and promote acceptance of their deviancy on Twitter via this 'virtuous pedophile' line right now is shocking. Twitter won't remove their accounts either. Hundreds of reports and ... nothing. Sign of the times or what?

  11. Vague. This could apply to Stephen King or Neil Gaiman or several others.

  12. @zimri .. I wasn't aware King or Gaiman have spoken out in defence of pedophiles at any point. I can see Gaiman saying something typically pseudo-deep and obsequious around the subject if he thinks he'll get SJW virtue points for being 'empathic' about the topic, but beyond that, no.

It's Grisham, in 2014 or so he had a right moan to a British journalist about the utter injustice of nice men lie his lawyer friend going to prison for the non-crime of looking at CP, which apparently doesn't make you a 'real' pedophile or some such naive shit. Turns out his friend had tried to trade child porn images of girls as young as 12 with an undecover police officer. Grisham had originally told the journalist his mate had 'accidentally' clicked on something while drunk and looked at a site that advertised 16 year-olds or something on the line. Clearly a line of shit, as as mentioned before he was trading rather than looking, the girls were not even teens and the main point is that actual child porn cannot be found anywhere but the dark web in recent history and as such it's impossible to 'accidentally' stumble on - it requires a Tor network and a highly deliberate search.

  13. Yep, you can't just accidentally find child porn. The one time I've had the misfortune of actually seeing it was years ago. My friend caught his roommate looking at it. (Before anyone reports this to the FBI, the offender is now dead and nobody I know is now in possession of this nasty stuff.) I didn't believe that it was actually children; was thinking, well, it just has to be barely legal stuff, young looking but legal and appealing to the teen fetish thing. Nope, it was straight-up child porn. Sickest shit I've ever seen and imagines burned into my brain that will never leave. Mind you this was at least 15 years ago, but after my friend's roommate told him he accidentally stumbled on it, blah, blah, blah, I recall trying to find some myself. I looked any way I could think and never did. It's not easy to find, at least not just by doing online searches in AOL or whatever I had back then.

So my friend decides to check the history on his computer, and sure enough, the fucking roommate was looking at that crap AGAIN after swearing he never would and it was an accident. There was also a laptop that the pedo roommate had that someone else was fixing for him that immediately gave it back and didn't want it.

After realizing what a sick piece of shit his roommate was, my friend, a big Cuban guy, basically ripped him a new asshole and reduced the fucker to tears. I don't mean he beat his ass physically, just verbally ripped him apart, and but he literally was crying. We debated going to the police, but figured the best thing was after the guy moved out, just to watch him and tell everyone we knew, especially those with kids. Lots of people knew him through work (he waited tables) and in the neighborhood. As far as I know, he never actually did anything but look, though he had been offering to tutor the neighbor's 11-year-old daughter a lot. That never happened. But to even find something like I saw and possess it and choose to look at it again, that's no accident. I only saw it because I kept thinking it can't really be that bad and didn't want to believe it, so my friend showed me.

Anyone who says just possessing the stuff isn't a crime has never seen something like this. I can understand a gray area with a teen girl that looks older, but this was like a toddler. It was revolting. We always referred to him as "ped" after discovering this crap. He was this weirdo who went to a professional photography studio and had photos taken of himself dressed like a Ninja. I normally wouldn't make fun of someone for just being weird, but all of it together - ick! I still get sick thinking about it and wonder about the child I saw, like how she is now.

At some point a few years ago I found out "ped" died from testicular cancer. Guess karma got him. He wasn't that old, maybe in his 30s, when he died.

  14. They aren't real offenders, according to him:

  15. Back around 1998, a friend of mine told a group of us he clicked on a porn link and all of a sudden one image after another popped up with little Japanese girls. He was shocked. He also freaked out because he was afraid even just having the pictures on his screen meant he was automatically tracked. So he called the RCMP.

He told them what happened and gave all the information he could on the link he clicked and which site he was on when he clicked it, all that. They called back to tell him there wasn't anything they could do because the perpetrators had really covered their tracks by routing from one bogus ISP to another, so they got stuck in a loop.

But now I imagine there has to be police on the dark web looking into these fuckers.

    1. I'll say another thing too, if I find out The Beatles were creepy pedophiles I'm done. Life would be a lie and a scam .. haha.

  17. I read him a lot before HS. I read A Time to Kill, The Firm, The Chamber, The Rain Maker, The Runaway Jury, The partner and The Street Lawyer (which was published the year I started High School). I also liked his movies. I watched all of them until The Gingerbread Man. That is: The Firm, The Pelican Brief, The Client, A Time to Kill, The Chamber and The Rainmaker (I remember a comment by Antonio Gasset, the host of 'Días de Cine', a TV show about movie releases saying about The Rainmaker: 'A movie based on the novel of writer John Grisham, and forgive me writers for calling him writer). It was curious that both The Street Lawyer and The Gingerbread Man were released the same year with the same title in Spanish (Causa Justa) despite being totally different stories. Anyway, both sucked, it was especially painful with The Gingerbread Man because it had a great cast (Kenneth Branagh, Tom Berenger, Daryl Hannah, Famke Janssen, Robert Duvall... and Himmmm?), but they sucked and I decided I was over Grisham and his work. I'm glad I did, he is a POS.
