Blind Item #4

One actress who is not speaking up about James Toback has a lot to say. She could also do some talking about that permanent A list television actor who was Toback's collaborator in a movie. She had to agree to have sex with the A lister to get the role and then they threw her under a bus for someone who could sell more tickets. All of you know who the actress is, although she may have gone by the wayside to the weekly tabloid readers who don't remember her unusual franchise. She previously had to sleep with Toback to get a role when she was really struggling to land anything.

  1. On/off topic. Corey Feldman talking about outing pedo’s. I wonder if Charlie sheen is freaking out bit. I realiz Corey can’t say names, but I read on this very website that Charlie sheen raped Corey Haim. Just thinking out loud here. 😬

    1. Not everyone thinks that. But close. I think it is someone very close to C.S. The other abusers have been named "by Feldmans book and interviews, The two Corey's". You have to dig but it's all there. Missing is A-list actor/ring leader who was around 40 in 1986. I have name but it's a guess..im not happy about it either lol.

  2. She isn't one of the 38 women who've spoken out??

  3. Am I the only one wondering how different award nominations and when's would be without all this scandal? And deals? Otherwise known as abuse

  4. This scandal was perfectly timed for awards season. We know how much Hollywood loves their sanctimony, and the fact that it all happened within their industry, with pretty much everybody enabling it to happen for decades, won't matter one iota. We'll still get Clooney and Streep and all the usual suspects with their fake outrage.

And if it turns out that last year's diverse nominations were tokenism rather than an actual change in the industry, this will help distract from that.

    1. I think soon. His people might be mixed in with Feldmans rapists. I've been obsessed with this since Feldman first talked about this. If you dig it does go in circles, these pedo's are all friends/business associates.

    2. And apparently dangerous.

  7. @Barbara

apparently charlie sheen might have been too young to be corey's rapist. some people are saying it could be his father, martin sheen - no clue though. even if he's not the perpetrator in this case, charlie sheen is likely a rapist of many.

  8. Yes, sounds like Alec Baldwin for the collaborator.

I'm going to date myself here, but does anyone remember Spy Magazine in the late 80s/early 90s? It was constantly ripping on Toback for being a misogynistic pig. (It also used to hit Trump pretty hard, printing all the cease and desist letters his attorneys sent to spy.)

  9. Unrelated part but "ding ding ding, we have a winner"

  10. I think the actress who got thrown under the bus is Neve Campbell. I watched a Charlie Rose interview with Toback about the doc he made about getting the movie financed and Rose mentioned how quickly Neve gets tossed overboard due to Toback's "greed" (Rose's word.)

  11. Neve Campbell...but this is also exactly what happened to Heather Graham as well. It's criminal what Neve went through at Toback's hands. And Alec Baldwin's hands. Alec has sure enjoyed his association with Toback. So has Mike Mailer.

There's a ton of actresses/models who will never speak up. Some things are just too painful for them to uncover I suppose. A beautiful young woman named Sheila Kennedy once tried to have Toback arrested. She ultimately left the industry totally due to him. Toback said "you can't rape a whore". And because Sheila had been in Penthouse he assumed he could do what he wished. Probably when your perversion mentor is Don Simpson? You are hopeless as a disgusting, perverted, vile human. When MANY PEOPLE FINALLY FOUND OUT about what he did to Shelia? They broke contact with Toback and vowed never to work for him again. But perhaps it was too late to matter. Warren Beatty was one in that category. So were others.

If there's a silver lining to this it is that at least Toback met his match in Claudia Schiffer. Years ago there were stories about her tying him up, piercing parts of his body (without numbing), and beating the living shit out of him. Not sexually, but violently. He was hospitalized. We all thought it was just some kinky shit that got outta hand. Apparently it was her giving him a dose of his own abuse. In hindsight, the sick fuck probably got off on it.

Toback used to brag about his big-shot mob connections. Yes, he had pals who were mobsters. Pauley Walnuts among them, and the music industry guy (can't recall his name) who almost killed Phil Spector. The mobster was a jewish guy who was the mafia's front man in the music biz back in the payola days. Can't recall his name though. Anyway, Toback used to brag about being pals. The story I heard was that they "sent him a message" that if he didn't shut up they'd gut him. They should have, in hindsight.

NOT EVERYONE witnessed Toback's twisted assaults. Jessica Chastain, Brooke Shields, Sarah Gellar...are a few who never saw anything unprofessional. Many male actors were blind to this too. The rumors were there forever, but rumors used to abound about lots of people. So it is devastating when you hear this to be fact. It makes you angry, and makes you feel betrayed and weak that these women were being victimized and you didn't know it was true.

I still am stunned about Louise Post. Louise? The most amazing woman. Love her. Deeply. If I had know he did this to her? I would've gutted him myself. I'm so sorry Louise. I hope she can forgive the idiots of this world who had blinders on and din't rush to save her. There's lots of us. She never told us and we never knew. That's our fault...not hers. All we can do is be more aware of the others...and not let it pass unchecked again.

I think the part about all of this that people forget is sort of what you said about other victims never coming forward. For many women, men, children it was a massive struggle to recover from the trauma of being assaulted. They finally found a way to heal & move forward in their life, so the idea that they would have to come forward, talk about everything that happened, re-live it in a way, & then the possibility that criminal charges could be filed against these abusers & they would be called as a witness is overwhelming & not something they want to do. I read people attacking some of these victims for not coming forward, but for many it was so difficult to heal that opening those old wounds is not good for their own health & well being.

  13. Hi @Himmmm, welcome back!

Re: "The mobster was a jewish guy who was the mafia's front man in the music biz back in the payola days. Can't recall his name though."

Sounds like Morris "Mo" Levy, founder of Roulette Records.

Fun fact about Morris Levy: he was the inspiration for the character, "Hesh", in the "Sopranos".

    Thanks for the tasty tea!

  14. Hi pals - textbook case of being "Tobacked" in 1995. Heading home from my restaurant on Beverly Drive, a person rushed up behind me. A sweaty, disheveled slob demanded, "Are you an actress?" "Um, no." "Well, I'm a director, my name's James Toback! See? Here's my driver's license, here's my DGA card," he continued, pulling stuff from his wallet."What are you doing right now?" he demanded. "No, no," he insisted (only now do I realize he probably waaaay high on...something.)"Come to the Beverly Wilshire and read this script! It's perfect!" "OK, man," I said, "Meet you in 20 minutes" during which time I deposited tips at my bank. No sense in getting rolled by a weirdo. "Here for *sigh* James Toback." The clerk's eyes would have rolled down the street, if that were possible. Grottier, Toback & duffel looking it died in 1967.

  18. Love it how nobody in here is fatshaming the pig James Toback, like they always do with Harvey Weinstein.
The CDAN bullies never miss a chance to fatshame and bodyshame Harvey, but they give Toback a free pass. Hmmmmmm
