Speaking of diva's, buried in the performance contract of this former A list singer with A list name recognition is a clause that says no matter how late she is, as long as she performs for a certain amount of time, the promoter is responsible is for refunding patrons their money. So, yes, she could be 8 hours late, but if she performs for at least 60 minutes, nothing comes out of her end.

I wonder if Axl Rose has that clause in his contract too?
ReplyDeleteRespect to the manager who came up with that idea!
ReplyDeleteSandy, shove a sock in it already. I saw GnR and not only were they punctual, but they performed a 3 hour, 20 song set. It was impressive.
ReplyDeleteWith that attitude, why would any promoter agree to promote any of her concerts?
ReplyDeleteBecause the fans will Pay!!
ReplyDeleteEven still she has a Huge Loyal Following (i'm in there too)
When did Axl get punctual, when he was down here last year he started 3 hours late.
ReplyDeleteI got this blind correct originally.
ReplyDeleteShe is legendary for this. Shows up hours late for every show. Knows her audience will wait. Plays a 65 minute show, leaves. Gets her full pay.
Something happened to her. Physical, mental, who knows. But something serious happened to this woman and she never recovered.
All this talk about Lauryn Hill & Axl Rose reminds me of the '90s when MTV was actually good. Now it's all crap. ♥
