Blind Items Revealed #5 - Mr. X - Old Hollywood

January 19, 2017

This closeted permanent A+list Broadway actor also managed to nab an Oscar nomination and an Emmy Award to go with his Tony Awards. Did I mention his closeted wife to whom he was married for over five decades also had an Oscar nomination and an Emmy win?

Oh for the old days, when theater people honestly did not give a hoot about sexuality.

I don't think theater people ever did care about sexuality, I think they have always protected each other. But the media and the public at large back then was a much different, much nastier, much more vicious ball of wax.

These blinds of closeted celebrities who are otherwise minding their own business are starting to get old. It's no longer shocking if someone is gay. It's no longer shocking there are beards because the General Public Middle America can't deal with it. If they're bearding for each other, then whatever. If a partner is expecting fidelity would be more interesting but if not then *shrugs*

I agree. It's invasive to constantly try to say someone is or isn't. Doesn't really matter. Not exactly a blind item either.

  5. The marriage worked for them, no matter the sleeping arrangements.
