Blind Item #3

This Housewife has already been hit pretty hard about some of her personal political views has not seen anything yet. Apparently there is a video of her talking about what happened in Charlottesville this past weekend and it would get her instantly fired.

I find it disturbing that the Media's current trend is to earze history. Yes black life's matter, and slavery was just wrong and with that, re-writing something which happend 200 years ago is an un healthy trend.
Let it be. There was a war, there were Generals, leave it at that.
Both Parties were Amerian may I remind you

Actually one party waged war against the American government as it was there desire to continue enslaving people, so that party would be a party of traitors. To that end, you might want to start raising money for a Benedict Arnold memorial since you have a thing for traitors.

The media has done nothing to erase ( i think that's what you meant) anything. The media has nothing to do with city and state boards and legislators deciding what's going to happen with public monuments, etc..... Not honoring traitors or those who were on the wrong side of history is not re-writing history. It happened, thus it is history. A statue doesn't make something more historical. And many things didn't happen and were re-written to make them more than what they were. Christopher Columbus never set foot on North America! He "discovered" Haiti and the Dominican Republic although they were both inhabited with Taino inhabitants but for some unexplained reason, we celebrate him and have cities named after him.. All because he got lost, killed a bunch of Taino native that he called Indians because his stupid ass thought he landed in India.

History doesn't need to be re-written, it just needs to be factual and correct.

The kind of nastiness spewed at you for no reason is the core of the problems in country right now. Only one side of the debate actually has free speech. The rest of us are instantly vilified.

As a southerner, I'll offer this take. There are some Civil War memorials that were erected during/immediately after the CW to commemorate lost soldiers, or leaders. Fine. No problem with these beyond the obvious big picture issues with the CW and slavery. But, it can legitimately be argued that these types of monuments were done to honor someone.
    .
Most CW monuments were erected well after the war ended, during one of two horrible time periods. One of the periods was right after the turn of the century in the early 1900s during the height of Jim Crow laws and the peak of the KKK movement. The next period of time that saw numerous CW monuments erected was the Civil Rights era. Monuments erected in either of these two time periods were erected to "remind the darkies of their rightful place." These have to come down.

Yes, American like Canadians are. But both parties were not of the United States. They were treasonous scum. And your precious monuments went up during Jim Crow... now I wonder. Why would that be the case? Oh yeah - you were trying to scare minorities.

Not you, you say. You're not one of those guys. Then let the statues come down.

America...the most recent country to jump on the "you are allowed to have an opinion, but only if you agree with Hollywood, PCers and the far left liberals. If not, you're fired and shunned from society." Free thinking and free speech is gone. We will all be shallow, empty shells one day.
