Blind Item #2

This former A+ list mostly movie actor is an Academy Award winner/nominee for a movie way back in the day. He has a family member who is also an Academy Award winner/nominee. Our actor is addicted to pain killers and takes them every couple of hours almost 24 hours a day. He has quit for the most part all the other drugs he used to take.

    +1 Other member being wife CZJ who won for Chicago. He was battling cancer recently and maybe started pills then, and I thought he used to have a coke habit.

    I don't think Kiefer Sutherland has ever won an Academy award or been nominated for an offspring or from an acting Academy Award. Plus it doesn't say acting family. Not the Sutherlands

    That's an interesting guess that I would not have even thought of! He was a crazy drug addict and then got sober I thought? Hope it's not him. Two Oscar nominations also.

    Thx @Helene.
    I thought of him because I worked with him and he was literally one of the nicest and most humble actors I've crossed paths with... (Itvwas a film festival and he was one of the honorees for his contribution to cinema).
    He loves his vino,and can't speak for anything beyond that/so I too hope it isn't him.
    Likely O'Neal as @Logic22 guessed-and hard to conjure much sympathy for that asshole.

    I can vouch for him as well. I worked at a hotel he was staying at and got to meet him while I was working, he was really really nice

    If he's taking painkillers every few hours, but nothing else, is it actually an addiction, or just chronic pain? If the person is taking it for actual pain, & not for a high, then it's called 'tolerance', not addiction (and you'll see it on any cancer ward).
