ReplyDeleteWhat fans has she lost? The ones who helped break the vevo and youtube records? (This was after the boosts things came out and yes there was some upset but everyone got over it). You can't do that with a shrinking fanbase, especially after the boosts were adjusted to allow for more free activities.

And this blind just highlights no matter what she does, like never charging for meet and greets even doing a 13 hour m&g with no breaks, while other artists charge hundreds for a quick handshake, people just want to make her a villian.

Because of streaming she's guaranteed to get a number 1 from this, but the real test will be how long it can stay there. If it peaks for a week than drops like a rock than it can be proven she's lost fans.

They cancelled 50,000 tickets that were put up immediately on stubhub, offered them to other verified fans and those were immediately put up on stubhub. So this is the next level to block scalpers by making people who want to buy tickets to interact long term as a fan.

Queens of the Stone Age also did this recently, it was a way for them to try and guarantee that actual fans got tickets. Can't say it worked very well to be fair, there was a s-tshow with the codes and the most intimate date on their UK tour was sold out before tickets even went on general sale.

It doesn't make any difference what she does anyway, lots of people are going to find reasons to hate her. It would be nice if she made social and political statements. I would really like that. I'd also like it if she came out of the closet, but she wants to play arenas, and losing that is a huge risk if she comes out.
