Anderson Cooper had a fire at his apartment, and called 911. When the operator asked "how do we get to your home?", he replied "Well, I'd expect with one of those fancy red trucks".
Do the USA not give you a copy if you ask for it? I think I would be given (after paying) a copy of all of those here if I had lost them. For instance: some friends lost their identity card, they just had to make a new one.
My purse. It has my wallet, my keys, my tablet, the one medication I need every day, some makeup, and a sweater in it. Everything else, aside from the cats, is easy to do without for awhile.
Ss card, purse,jewelery box, mortgage papers and grandmothers picture from the 30's. I packed my car up when a wildfire was nearby. Everyone thought i had over reacted but it helped. Especially with shoes, and work clothes.
Holy shit. I meant "A Scandal in Bohemia", I'm so absent-minded and forgetful... Now I'm beginning to wonder how I'd respond/react to an actual fire emergency. ???
Our house burned to the ground when I was 13. We had no time to grab anything but the car keys because the fire was in the walls. Just get out, things can be replaced and the smoke gets thick quickly
Agreed. Once had a total loss housefire. The only thing I took was my 18 month old daughter & the clothes on our backs. Life is the only irreplaceable thing. Period.

ReplyDeleteIt is, but it's a nuisance, especially if you don't have a picture ID. Someone dealing with a fire doesn't want to go through that.
