Former Owl City Musician Pleads Guilty To Lewdness With A Child
A Minneapolis man and former musician with the band Owl City has pleaded guilty in New Jersey to lewdness with a child.
Thirty-two-year-old Daniel Jorgensen admitted he exposed himself to the girl, who was under 13, in Atlantic City in August 2013. He was initially charged with attempting to lure the child and engaging in criminal sexual contact with the girl on the Atlantic City beach.
A judge sentenced Jorgensen to serve two years' probation in Minneapolis.
Jorgensen played guitar, vibraphone and bass with the group.

ReplyDeleteProbation? That's it? I guess he would have actually had to have sex with the child to get jail time. Probably a few months, if that. People talk about Hollywood protecting pedophiles on here, while the justice system seems to just wag a finger at them and let them loose so they can try again.

ReplyDeleteI know, right? I wonder if he at least had to register. I hope so. This wasn't an accidental case of "I was camping and peeing by a tree when a 10-year-old suddenly ran up out of nowhere and saw me." It was sexually motivated and children could get really hurt by this dude.
