This foreign born A list mostly movie actor is only A list when filming his franchise. With offers coming in that were about 1/3 of the fee he would get for his franchise, he agreed to sign on for another installment.
It isn't surprising that they would pay him $20-30 million to play Bond again. What is outlandish is the idea that anyone would offer him $7-10 million to play anything else. Looking at the box office takes of his non-Bond films he is strictly a $1-2 million actor on a good day.
I don't understand why the Bond people would pay him such a huge fee. We are used to new actors being cycled into the role after a few movies, and he's been pretty open about his dislike of the idea of doing it again, so why wouldn't they just cut him loose and start a new cycle with someone who actually gives a shit?
Wasn't Daniel offered (like) $100 Million to play the part and turned that down?
ReplyDeleteJames Bond the character is A list not Daniel Craig. They should have tried Elba for a different take. James Bond is old and tired.

ReplyDeleteCraig was a good James Bond, but I would LOVE LOVE LOVE them to hire Idris Elba. He would bring a lot of heat to that role.
ReplyDeleteReality is a bitch

ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who doesn't like Daniel Craig as Bond?
