Unfortunately, Yes. And it makes me sad to think about it, because I thought she was a nice person. And, No. I never ever, stood anyone up. I guess I'm more respectful of people.
No, but every week or so, I post a picture of a hot male on Grindr, wait to get a reply from Don Lemon, and then tell him to meet me in the janitor's closet on the 4th floor. He falls for it every time.
It's bad when a friend stands you up twice (to get laid) and you're left outside the movie theaters waiting like a dumb ass. stupid B*&%$ that's why we aren't friends anymore...
Yes. My senior prom. Didn't know the guy very well. He was a friend of a friend. A real jerk, so, I should have listened to my gut instinct. It still makes me sad to think people can be so mean. I couldn't do that to anyone.
Ugh, I had to learn as a dumb college girl that if you believe his excuse and forgive him, he'll do it again. Yep, two different guys did that to me before I learned.
That's why I always go to the Gaiety Theater or the Ramrod alone, dear. I get mistaken for a working girl when I stand outside alone waiting for you know who to show up.
Got stood up in college by my boyfriend who was supposed to go with me to a concert. Never heard from him again until I found out he was dating my best friend at the time. Guess he liked her better which is fine, I'm no one's second choice. They actually got married so guess something came from my hurt feelings.
I've been stood up twice. The first time I was in high school, and the guy had a million excuses and was very apologetic but he was just an idiot so buh-bye. My first husband did it once too! He got mad that he couldn't find the address where he was supposed to meet me, so rather than even bothering to show up to the concert we were going to he just went to his mother's and pouted all evening. We didn't last long after that...
In order for me to get out of a 'situation' that I gotten myself into.....I told the guy I was with that I had a 'surprise' for him and needed to go to my car. Needless to say, I took off like a bat out of hell...........that was the surprise!!
You know what? I actually would have pretty high tolerance for a friend who stood me up to "get laid", LOL. I once was stood up by a "friend" who just wanted a photo-op with a mutual friend who was higher-up on the social ladder (when he couldn't make it, she called the whole thing off and didn't even bother telling me it was no longer happening).
No I was never stood up. And I never intentionally stood somebody up, but I didn't show up for something I thought was called off and wasn't.

ReplyDeleteYes. I was stood up on my 21st birthday.
ReplyDeleteYes on both counts.

ReplyDeleteHonestly that's fucked up and since I'm a Brooklyn male born and bred I'm ashamed to be associated with a geek like that
ReplyDeleteI didn't stand anyone up, but I did say I was going to the restroom, and walked out the door, and kept going. He was a real creep.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't classify this as "standing someone up", this is really just you protecting yourself. I'm glad you got away.
ReplyDeleteSheesh. What a way to enter adult life and the realities of adulthood...
ReplyDeleteThat's just a misunderstanding, nothing malicious about it.
